I am just posting this to see what people are willing to deal with in an rp, I mean personally I grew up with strange people so I have very few, if no limits to what i will watch happen in an rp.. but I also sometimes do let my characters be themselves because I don't want people thinking the likes/kinks they might have reflect back on me...SOOO I started this thread

My only firm limit is, aside from the usual 'no's that are against the TOS of this site, that I don't explicitly RP sexual interactions; fade to black or implied only. Otherwise? Torture, gore, violence, foul language, mind-twisting? Fine by me, if it is appropriate for the context of the plot. If it doesn't make sense for the context of the plot... less assent, more frowny-face.

Relevance and tact. If written tastefully (read: going nowhere a camera wouldn't on TV) I have few "limits" as long as the plot comes first, sometimes seduction or torture are just how you get a character to say the wrong thing or show a strange tattoo or whatever moves your story. In that (and for everything else) I do my best to narrate in such a way that my partner won't be put off or see something they don't want to see, and I expect the same from them.

I find insisting on fade-to-black with RPers I don't know does a great job weeding out the ones who are only in it to be gratified, so all this is rarely an issue.

i will not do any e-rp at all whatsoever but any gore or violence is fine with me. romance is something i stray from after bad experiences with it but yeah. basically anything flies, even killing my characters is fine with me if the plot is good.

i have very few limits do to the people I grew up rping with, but I do also insist with In rp that if you want to rp that you don't just go boom time skip and hour and this is item is made or what ever, i might let it slip on some things, but mostly i liked everything rped out, even the ditryer side of it, but I like to keep the plot of the rp as the man focus, i mean if they go hide in a bedroom for a while thats fine, but yeah, Plot damn it Plot!



I play a few characters that use magic to do things, but say I am using one of my black smiths I make mention of each hammer stroke and if I wont put it into a post if I don't know what it is, better safe then sorry.

I don't have much limiting factors myself. The only thing I ask is that sex and the like be implied or fade to black. I'm fine with pretty much anything else as long as it makes sense. I really enjoy having characters grow and the lasting scars and dis-figuration of mind/body that have come with time are really interesting to look back on.

But like someone else said it has to be relevant to the plot, or something of the like. I don't really accept people wanting to chop hands/fingers/legs off for no real reason, but if it makes sense, by all means.

I agree with Sland - it's amazing how quickly you'll find out if someone is out to rp with you because they enjoy you/the rp or are just looking for an erotic fix. :c

Seems to be a common theme, but I'll agree that I'm pretty open to most things so long as it's plot-relevant. My characters have their own personalities, and they'll do what they'll do based on that if it fits the story. When it's an obvious reach just to get to the "erotic" stuff, I usually shut things down and move on.

If it's gonna happen, it has to happen organically. Just like anything else, really. If you were reading a novel and two characters hopped in the sack for absolutely no reason in the middle of a paragraph, you wouldn't be pleased. Same applies.

Honestly I dont mind anything as long as theres a good plot.

What I avoid is fetish. I am perfectly fine with bondage, S&M and torture. If they are done tastefully. Gross fetishes in RPs are a no for me. Or when people force them on someone.

What I am not a fan of in most smut or ero Rps is when one person forces their actions on another. Or when the control the other person's character. TBH, it makes them come off as a creepy person more than anything.
