His eyes narrowed at the information he was given. What was the whole reason behind this? "This is absurd!" Quinn gritted his teeth. "If.." he paused while a sudden unfamiliar feeling surged through him. There shouldn't be mercy. If she was the disease, then it was decided. "If that's the case--" he clutched at the knife he was holding, "then let's forget about what happened awhile ago and consider ourselves strangers."
Quinn now decided, he had to eliminate her.
Quinn now decided, he had to eliminate her.
She arched an eyebrow. "Kill me, huh?" She laughed. "Okay, please do. I've been wanting to die, but it won't stop my parents." She looked over at him. "Kill me, Mr. Quinn." Her green eyes seemed dull, missing the glow they had moments ago, and her voice was dull. "Although, I wonder if guilt will kill me before you get the balls to do it, you seem.. Too nice."
"Shut up!" He stepped forward, swinging the knife towards her. His intentions now were to kill her, but then..
She watched him, waiting for it... But she never felt it. The knife was right in front of her face, so close to her, but not cutting her. This shocked her, was he really unable to do it? She felt tears spill down her face, and her eyes couldn't leave the knife. Was she.. Was she scared? One move, and he could end it. One simple move, and yeah.. That thought scared her. She moved away from the knife, afraid he would change his mind and slice down. She gently gripped the blade of the knife, wincing slightly as it cut into her palm, and pulled it out of his hand.
He watched, quickly alarmed about how Bree took the knife out of his hand before he finally made the decision. "Maybe I want to know now... just why," he squinted at the thought of his friends--most certainly his brother, "why this? Why did your parents have to create this stupid disease to butcher this hell of a world!?"
"I'm not sure. Nor am I sure as to why they used their own children as guinea pigs. They're monsters, Quinn. Absolute monsters. They kept my sister and I locked away until they wanted me to spread the disease. Viola didn't get to learn much about the outside world. They're monsters, and they turned me into a freaking monster too." She stated, looking out the window. "I hate myself. I hate them. Why did they have to use me, of all the people in the world.."
As he listened, realization took place. A thought now popped up. He pulled away. "This is wrong, this is so very wrong," he cupped his hand over his face, overtaken by the disgusted feeling he was given, "foul." It's cruel from what the family has done to them. Unmistakingly unforgivable. Evil. Bree shouldn't be the one to blame.
"Look, I'm sorry. I shouldn't have done what I just did. None of this shouldn't have happened." He was frustrated, and for the most part, he was hateful.

"...Do you hate me now?" She asked. "Everyone does when they discover the truth, then they try to kill me, make contact, and die themselves." She said. "I should leave. I'm sorry, nobody will deal with me anymore after this, I promise." She whispered, heading for the door.
"No-- wait," he turned to the direction where Bree was heading, "Don't go." He couldn't let her go out of sight. If she was the disease herself, then there's a possiblity of a cure--wait. That's it! A cure! Maybe, just maybe, this could work. It may be contagious, but it was never said to be incurable. "You can't just leave. You were never meant to do wrong to the world on purpose after all. Now I understood that."
He said hopefully, "If we could--" The glow returned again, "We could change things. Starting with you."
He said hopefully, "If we could--" The glow returned again, "We could change things. Starting with you."
"Change things? I've tried, Quinn. I've tried so hard to change things." She was crying and trembling. "I've killed so many that I cared about. I'm surprised I haven't killed myself yet, or that nobody's managed to succeed in killing me." She turned back to him. "If I touch you, you'll die. That's the fact I know, and the fact I've had to live with throughout this whole traumatic experience."
"There should be a way," he wanted to wipe those tears away, but if he did, then he would most likely die according to what Bree said. "Bree, all of that could change. I'm gonna change this life of yours. We're gonna find a cure no matter how badly you thought of this or not, because I can't let this chance go and after what the world has been through." He urged, "Please, Bree."
"....Why the hell would you help me, seconds ago you wanted to kill me." She arched an eyebrow at him. "You're really.. Snff.. Really confusing.." She wiped her eyes to get rid of the tears, and forced herself to smile. "...I'll try, but if we can't find a way.. I want you to kill me. No hesitation."
He shrugged. "It's dual nature, I guess.. Isn't it natural?" he awkwardly added.
Quinn watched as she wiped her tears--and then the words hit, no hesitation. He paused, suddenly staggering his train of thought. Suppose if the plan fails to succeed, what kind of deed will it do after?
Hesitant, and then he declared, "Fine. Deal."
His stomach suddenly rumbled.

She sighed, running a hand through her hair. "Okay Quinny boy, what ideas do you have in your head? Because I have no idea what to do." She said, looking around the empty market.
"Err... I kinda threw that can away." What a waste. Although, all of the things that had happened made him even more weary. There was no food source left in this market. That was literally the last food source; all thrown and wasted down for nothing. "I'm sorry to hold you down but, I think I need to rest a bit. I've been traveling before I arrived here," he admitted. "I know this isn't a good start."
She glanced over at him, and nodded. "..Hold on a second." She disappeared into a back room, walking back out with a backpack that seemed full of something. She opened it up, and tossed him a few candy bars. "Those should hold you. Rest for a bit, I'll be back. Keep an eye on the market, not that there's much to keep an eye on." She stated, zipping up and slinging the backpack over her shoulder. She tossed him the knife, and exited the market.
The foot steps came again.
He saw the girl coming back with something. The crinkling sounds coming from it told it all, leading to the realization that it was a bag full of food. Amazed, he caught the candy bars that was tossed to him, "Thank you!" He nodded and agreed, placing the knife aside. There wasn't so much to keep an eye on. Although he wondered about the girl's intentions after she exited out of the market.
They just knew each other after all. He can't fully trust her.

She went to a lake, and sat to think. It wasn't so much a lake anymore, more like a swamp, but it was her thinking spot. "What were they planning, anyway..." She muttered. "Why inject me with a drug that wipes out all their followers..? It doesn't make sense.."
Quinn observed the bars, and then thought Bree didn't look like the girl who would want to hurt him. He didn't know why. He grew hesitant for a moment before continuing.
After deciding, he ate the bars, time rolled by, and then stretched afterwards. So, that's it? he thought. He speculated the place again. It was pretty boring, lifeless, and quite spacious. He didn't like being alone. Quinn only waited until he heard murmurs sounding off from a distance.

She stood, looking up at the sky, which had grown dark over time. "Shit, I better head back." She muttered, heading back toward the store. She walked in, and looked around, squinting slightly. "Quinn?" She called out, going toward where she left him.. When she tripped, falling forward.. And feeling herself touch something. Someone. She froze, her eyes widening in fear. "No. No ****. Please tell me I didn't just do this.."
