On the lookout for some new things to enjoy. I thought I'd make a thread where people can list the books they're reading, music they're listening to, and/or games they're playing.
R: Mostly anatomy textbooks at the moment, but also a little bit of Clan of the Cave Bear.
L: Dreaming up a cyberpunk story at the moment, so lots of The Glitch Mob
P: Kitty Powers: Matchmaker with my wife. Good, silly fun.

Reading: A.I. Love You, it's a manga, but that counts as a book, right?
Listening: Daft Punk
Playing: GTA V!
And if anyone wants to play GTA V with me and Ross, that'd be sweet.

Reading: Thomas DeQuincy - Confessions of an English Opium Eater. Is not recommended tho, and I am reading it solely for study purposes. Last book I read and enjoyed was The Last Wish by Andrzej Sapkowski and The Book Thief by Markus Zusak.
Listening: The Knife and Die Antwoord. From The Knife if love Pass This On and from Die Antwoord I adore Ugly Boy.
Playing: I don't really play games, but my girlfriend is playing Metal Gear Solid: The Phantom Pain and Payday 2 and both look great.

Reading: The Glorious Cause by Robert Middlekauff. I just started it so I can't say much about it.
Listening: I so very much love The Glitch Mob, but recently I've been listening to this alt. rock band named dada. They're freaking awesome. They're a three piece: drummer, bass player, and lead guitar, but the lead guitarist and the bassist both sing lead vocals and harmonize. Their songs are just absolutely incredible, but unfortunately they've had the worst luck with record companies. I'd highly recommend them to anyone.
Playing: Pokémon Alpha Sapphire and/or Destiny: The Taken King [PS4] but I'm only a casual player for both. I'm terrible at Destiny, but I've only ever played by myself (no friends to speak of that have it.) But hey I'm in the top 15% of Guardians with melee kills, so I've got that going for me, which is nice.

Reading Eagle of the Ninth by Rosemary Sutcliff. (It's such an engaging book!)
Listening to Tartini Violin Sonata in G minor "Devil's Trill Sonata" (it's relaxin')
Playing Final Fantasy IX for the first time. Fun game.

Reading: Because I am supposed to read a book for banned book week (which happens to be this week!), I choose "Flowers in the Attic". YES, I realize how bad that book is, as well as the movie. Once I am done reading it though, I will be watching the movie, and reading book two before I rinse and repeat again and again for all four books. V.C. Andrews is a pretty good author in my eyes, and I'm enjoying their work!
Listening: I have a playlist on my profile, and I probably should add songs that I have on Spotify and iTunes to that list too, huh? Well, lately I have been listening to Anime openings/outros in English. My current favorite is "Super Diver", which is the MAIN theme for the Haruhi Suzumiya series (when I say this, I mean that every anime/movie uses it for the majority of the time, other than in spin offs, which makes sense.) A link can be found here. A quick note would be that the translations are DIRECT TRANSLATION in the anime, and don't really add up when you compare them to English. So, the singer retranslated them, hence why the lyrics on screen would be way off (other than about three or so lines >3< )
Playing: I haven't been playing much games to be honest. I've been busy with school, setting up roleplays, other roleplay related things, and my social life (which has been hectic on it's own!) The LAST game that I played was The Sims 3 on my crappy laptop, which threatened to overheat (but luckily hasn't) when I tried to play it. Before then, I would play Saints Row IV all the time, since it was pretty awesome! That was one that I binged. And the last two that I have finished, were Flower (I think that it is one of my favorite games even though it is just... so simple, and there is no goal! No words... Just... Flower petals, and cool scenes... and peaceful music!) and Hotline Miami. I can't tell you how much I laughed at the latter! I mean, it was hard at times, but once you bet the game once, you can beat the whole game using fists only (and your fists of FURY!)
So, Hotline Miami/Flower for last beaten (which was in the same week since I got them during the PSN Flash Sale), The Sims 3 for last game played, and Saint's Row IV for last game binged.

Reading:
The Antichrist, by Friedrich W. Nietzsche. I've considered myself as an atheist some years ago but really went to agnostic after a course of events. Even though Friedrich utterly destroys the christian religions (Which I have certain beliefs), it' a good read to compare his harsh criticism with some of my own, specially about how the christian religions can be used not as a method of guiding the masses but how it can be manipulated for the shady purposes of the government and etcetera.
Listening:
Nothing, to be honest at the moment, but it's always my old, repeated playlist. Some OST from anime I haven't even watched and more soundtracks from my favorite games, mostly shmups.
That not to mention the soundtracks from those classic western spaghetti movie, mainly composed by Ennio Morricone.
Playing:
Any hardcore shoot 'em up. Einhänder, Darius series, Gradius, frequently alternating from them. It's all I can play on my current computer, though. But, really, those games have beautiful soundtracks and visual, despite their age.

R: Mostly stuff about the Muslim Brotherhood at the moment, but totally looking forward to reading all the book I got for my birthday!... Which was in May...
L: Girl power songs, or the songs I'm going to use for new/old choreographies!
P: Uncharted and Pokémon!

Reading: I love to read and have a bad habit of reading many book stories at once >< Anyway books I am currently reading: Thirst by Christopher Pike, The Alchemyst by Michael Scott, City of bones by Cassandra Clare and Fablehaven by Brandon Mull.
Listening to: Uh...I love alot of different type of musics but the ones I like the most is (in general) country and a little bit of rock. Bands i listen to are Flyleaf, Evanescence, Breaking Benjamin, *currently cant remember the rest* Also there is this one youtuber I like that sings, and her name is Jewelia. My favorite song by her is Lotus Flower. Jewelia is also the reason im learning to play piano beside Beethoven.
Playing: Pokemon, any dragon game i can find, and all the mario games. Im more of a ds, playstation, xbox and pc gamer. Oh! almost forgot, I looooove to play horror games ^^

Read: I don't read all that much, being a slow reader and everything, but there are some books that have caught my attention better than others
If you aren't afraid of war books or Nazi things, I do recommend
Fatherland by Robert Harris (It is excelent. I just didn't want to put the book away. I even went to loan it again immediately just because I wasn't able to read it because school exams and such, but I would go all the wy and bring it to Egypt with me on our first trip overseas and catch some stares because of it xD But heck. It was a great book.)
Rautasaappaat by Niilo Lauttamus (This book. OOOOOOH This book! If you'd ever find a translated version of it. It's so great. I love it man)
But if you want something else, I highly recommend
Call of the Wild by Jack London
And I'll always see Buck looking like this. Gosh darn it it was my childhood. This is the only book I've read twice too xD
Listen: My taste for music is rather wide. Or like, I like a lot of music. The songs where people just scream nonsence to the mics aren't my thing though, or the ones where they just want to get overly intimate with others :T Lovesongs in general tend to make me cringe.
The mainpoint in music for me is, well, music. If the song's music is good and it has some catchy parts to it, I'll probably listen to it. Good singing voice is an extra though, but I think there have been times when just the voice has been enough for me to dig the song. And good lyrics are just an added bonus
I like a lot of game music (Devil May Cry has some good ones, and Metroid! Oh yes Metroid. But there are also some random ones here and there. For mood bringer, I like to listen to the music used in the Hetalia fan games. I also find myself listening to music from (I think online MMO) Granado Espada, even though I know nothing more of that thing but the music). Music that is just music and no singing can be nice for mood bringer too (Two Steps from Hell especially. Yes.) I don't have a favourite band to listen to, but I like quite a few songs from Globus, RED, Fall out boy, Crystal Castles, Happoradio, Phosgore, Studio Killers, ......
Pokemon music too~ A great deal of songs from Glitchxcity are great
A bit lesser ones that I haven't listened much as of late and a dozen I can't remember: Thousand foot krutch, Breaking Benhttp://www.rprepository.com/community/jamin, Lady Gaga (at least the older ones), Mystery Skulls (I've yet to go beyond searching 'Magic' and the first animated one, but I should go explore xD )
Also a lot of Eurovision music I like. I reeeeally like Eurovision music xD And techno, I listen to a lot of house music and things that just have the beat going
For some Finnish music, here are a few links
CMX - Punainen Komentaja
Mokoma - Sinne missä aamu sarastaa
Happoradio - Ahmat tulevat
Play: Well, Pokemon of course~ Anything Pokemon really, I just love the series. And lately I've really gotten myself into Fire Emblem and for everyone who loevs strategy games, I highly recommend it. Spyro the Dragon was my childhood and also Crash Bandicoot. Recently I've found high quality wakthroughs of my childhoods favourite game 102 dalmatians - Puppies to the rescue. That game has simple plot, great level design, the music is memorable and you just want to finish that game~
If you like colorful things maybe you should go check out Viva Piñata too. I haven't played it myself but the piñata are pretty sweet and such

Reading: Besides my textbooks, I've been reading through the Discworld books from by Terry Pratchett, may he rest in peace. Such great books to draw inspiration from for a fun and humoristic RP!
Listening: Lately I've been listening to good ol' Alestorm. But also to Gloryhammer's new cd and some Korpiklaani to top it all off. Such good tunes.
Playing: Mainly Shadowrun: Hong Kong, Team Fortress 2, Prison Architect and The Witcher 3. Less these days due to time constraint, but they're solid games!
