I'm currently looking to get back into tabletop RPG, having lost my established circle of fellow nerds about a year ago when a combination of events saw me leave my old boat, and my boat change home port (navy things).
I have started looking into local groups, and the more organized ones seem to be centered around either the pathfinder scociety or D&D encounters. I am familiar with both games, but not these official structured campaigns...
I guess what I'm looking for is anyone who may have experience with either one, that could maybe share some more Insight into them.
I looked into both a little, and conceptually they seem to work... But real world application of things don't always pan out (ex: the Hindenburg) I just really don't want to waste effort on developing a character and learning these rules if it's like a horribly flawed, or poorly orchestrated thing, you know?
