Lizzy quickly stuffed bags of 0 neg into her 'freezer' duffle bag. Her and about seven other 'good' vampires were in the middle of a blood bank heist. It was a miracle they had even got in their, since the security was so high. Suddenly, she starts to hear the loud ringing of the Vampire Hunter alarm with her vampire hearing. She could tell it was a few miles away so she had time, but her group were already running out. "Guys! We have a bit more time!!" She calls urgently, she really needed blood and the animal blood wasn't holding her over long enough.
She stuffed a few more blood bags into her duffle and zipped it, running out of the building toward the back alley. "Shit..." She mumbled, the hunters were already there, she flipped up her black hood and began to run silently near the side of the building, in the shadows. From what she could tell the hunters hadn't seen her by the time she finally reached the alley, with a sewer entrance she new of. She flipped down her hood, letting her long red-brown hair run down her back as she slowed. "That was close.." she mumbled.

It would not have registered to the human ear, but a vampire might have heard the short, popping hiss of a bullet propelled through a silencer, as well as the accompanying cry of one of her own that followed it.
They were close, and yet it seemed there was a particular set of steps that moved faster than the rest. This one got closer and closer to her. He was tracking her somehow, but how?

Lizzy could hear the hunter approaching, but hoped that he wouldn't find her. She picked up the duffle bag and ducked behind a dumpster, hoping the duffle bag wasn't too big for the hiding spot.
He arrived at the alley. It was the young man of the group, suddenly walking in front of the dumpster.
His steps were slow and quiet. He wore a kind of visor over his eyes that gave off a harsh green glow. In his hands was a something that looked like a shotgun with a very, very short barrel. He stepped past the dumpster and turned his head sharply at where the vampire girl was sitting.

Elizabeth stood quickly, debating running. "Don't shoot, please" she begged, "I've never hurt anyone" Her eyes were large, though she didn't really have pupils cause they were black so it was hard to tell. The had her hands up in the air, cursing her need for human blood. She had never in 250 years been caught, but now when she was in desperate need of blood she does get caught.
"Sorry," said the young man in front of her. "Nothing personal."
Just then another vampire jumped up at him from behind. The young man jumped out of the way just before blood was drawn. The vampire swiped at the young man, knocking the gun out of his hand, where it landed next to Elizabeth.
The two struggled, and it was obvious that the young hunter was terrified without his firearm.
But he was not unarmed.
The young man carried with him a blunt weapon which he managed to pull out just in the nick of time. The vampire bit against the handle, trying to get to the hunter, but he couldn't get past the weapon.

Lizzy gasp, how did I not see them?? The thought angry with herself. She watched the fight, conflicted on what to do, she couldn't let the vamp kill the hunter but the hunter would kill her if she saved him. But she had just said she had never hurt anyone so she had to save him. Chances are if the vamp attacked a hunter they are pretty young, so she is probably older, meaning wiser, stronger and faster.
She knew the weapon wouldn't keep the vampire at bay for long, so as soon as the weapon failed, she lunged at him, pushing the other vamp to the wall of the alley. Lizzy had managed not to be the cause of any humans death so far and it wasn't starting now.

They vampire continued to struggle against her, but he was young. She had more power, but the young vampire continued to struggle. The hunter, on the other hand, backed up to the wall of the alley, rapidly tapping at the visor on his head, the light on it only flickering now until it died off completely. He lifted his weapon in his hand, which appeared to be little more than an aluminum bat, and commenced to grope around for his firearm.
His hand was nowhere close to it.
His hand was nowhere close to it.
Lizzy had had the upper hand for a while, but had finally got to a position where she could kill the vamp. She swung herself onto the vamps shoulders, snapping his neck. Not only did she snap it, she pulled it clean off, the only way to be sure that the vamp was dead with that kind of injury, she tossed the head down the alley before hopping off the body as it fell limp. She turned and grabbed a lighter from her bag and dropped it on the body. For some reason, vampire bodies were extremely flammable so she immediately stepped as far away as possible from it. "Your welcome" She told the Hunter, who could probably see better now.
The young man pulled off the visor from his head and stared at the burning corps, then over at Elizabeth. "You... you just saved me. You killed... why?"
He saw his gun, and he saw that Elizabeth was blocking it from him.
The fire burning from the vampire's body began to slowly burn itself out, bringing back the inky darkness, but before the light dimmed, the young man looked up to Elizabeth's face.
She was beautiful.

Elizabeth turned and smiled at him, "I-I would've felt guilty if you'd have died." She smiled weakly, "And he was a dumb young vampire, if I didn't kill him he woulda been gotten by the hunters" She turned back to the corpse, who's flame was fading. She couldn't deny that the hunter was attractive, but she couldn't do anything about it. He literally lived to kill her kind. "Are you okay? Whats your name?"
"Th--they call me Scout," he told her. He had heard of the kinds of powers that older vampires possessed. He could only wonder of she was using them on him at the moment. He still felt like himself, but he wasn't sure if he could count on that.
He realized that he was trembling. He wasn't able to get off a shot to signal for backup. It was about that time when men's voices were heard calling out in the night.
"Where is Scout!?"
"Oy! Pipsqueak!"
"Get back here, milksop! That's an order!"
They were headed the wrong way. He wanted to call out for them, but the light from the fire faded to darkness. He was in her territory now.
(going to sleep now. back again tomorrow!)

"I'm Lizzy" She said with a smile, which quickly disappeared when she heard the other hunters looking for him. "And it seems like you have to go now.." She said trailing off. "Its your call, tell them about me, or don't. Either way I should have time to clean this up." She smiled a the hunter.

Leo didn't know what to do. Without his gun, he's be helpless, especially in the dark. After seeing the glare from that fire a moment ago, his eyes were not well adjusted for the darkness.
He stood up slowly, feeling his way down the alley until he found the exit. He would have to leave his gun behind for now. Why didn't he listen to his peer to told him to bring a spare?
Oh, that's right. He didn't have one, and at the rate he was going he'd never actually get one.
Once out of the alley he called out. "Hey! I'm over here!" He then tripped over a fire hydrant. Why did vamps always have to run down the few spots with absolutely no lighting!?

Elizabeth watched as Scout stumbled his way back to his patrol. She looking around the area, that's rather bright actually for her. Except with a slight blue glow. Almost like she was wearing blue tinted glasses. She picked up Scout's gun, and dropped it in the duffle with the blood. Before looking to the Vampires body, "Now what do do with you..." She she mumbled. She picked up the body, and prepared to jump to the roof of the building on the right. If she dropped it there, in the morning it should burn up, and be dealt with.
By the morning, Leo had been reprimanded for losing his weapon and for letting the vampire escape. Without even so much as a body, the would not be able to reap the reward issued for is capture and execution.
He only reported on the one, though, the young vampire who had attacked him. He said nothing about this Lizzy girl. She was powerful, he could somehow feel, and yet she didn't kill him. Why? She had him dead to rights, unarmed, and maybe even outnumbered, and yet she let him go.
This question would trouble him until nighttime came again. He was given a small pistol to take the place of the gun he had lost. It was a pitiful replacement. Yes, his shotgun was tiny and held together with elastic bands and a soda can, but it was stronger than a pistol any day.
The night's hunt had begun, and true to his code name Scout, he ran off ahead, his night vision goggles properly repaired, and to investigate the night.

Elizabeth stayed in her small apartment all day. It was quite close to a sewage entrance so it was easy for her to get around. Since vampires were harmed by the sun, they normally traveled through the sewers to get places. She had the shotgun on her kitchen counter, she intended on returning it that day, if the cute hunter guy was going to that area today. She slipped into her dark skinny jeans, and a deep purple long sleeve shirt on, pulling her black hoodie on and zipping it up. Before leaving she put her black converse on and walked out to her balcony.
With her hood up, the sun wasn't getting to her easily, so she hopped down the four floors to the alley way next to her building. Since she was a vampire, she was able to jump the long distance without getting hurt. She only had to walk about a yard before finding a sewer entrance and sliding it over, jumping in. With her special vision it was easy for her to see, and soon enough she was in the alleyway, sitting in the shadows with the hunters shotgun.

The goggles were designed not only for night vision, but also tracked faint particles in the air, in particular the substance of blood. Other particles common to vampires were too common for them to to used to follow them.
It did not seem that the area's blood bank had too much more to worry about that night. They had failed to retrieve their lost blood, so there was no reason for vamps to return there.
Still, it would be better to search the entire area before moving on. Leo suddenly found himself wondering if he would run into that Lizzy. He kicked himself for asking himself that question, but he couldn't help himself. Little did he know that he was fast approaching her position. To any vampire's ears, his footsteps would be enough to give him away.

Lizzy stood quickly when she heard Leo coming. She picked up the shotgun, holding it with one hand. She turned and began walking toward the sound of the footsteps. "Hey Scout?" She called the only name she knew him by, "You there?" She asked into the darkness. She still had her hood up since it was daylight out. She couldn't help but wish it was him. The hunter had caught her attention, how he didn't kill her right away, it was pretty brave.
His blood ran cold when he heard his code name called. He stopped cold from his run until he happened upon A familiar vampiric presence, the one who called herself Lizzy.
He hesitated a moment, but he quickly stooped down and pointed his gun at her. He saw his old weapon in her hand. She wasn't pointing it at him. Did she think it was beneath her to use a man-made weapon as a vampire.
But it was daytime.
"What are you doing out during the day?" he asked her. "One wrong move and you'd be hot ash."
