Everything was going well, people and beings of all sorts going through their daily lives in their home dimensions. But one day... Things changed for the Worse. Everything was falling and ripping apart. Slashes, cuts, rifts, and rips in dimensions were appearing everywhere, often with purple energies and auras flowing through them like wind, corrupting whatever the energies touched into a purple and black rotting counter-part of itself. Nothing was safe from it, animals, monsters, foliage, even the minerals and essence of the lands were not immune to it. Not to mention, the rips in dimensions screwed up time and space itself, futuristic cities often appearing in the middle of medieval and fantastical ages, and dragons, monsters, and knights walk the streets of modern cities confused of how they got there in the first place. After a few days of this cataclysm, a Magician in a tall tower, on a snow covered and foggy mountain, summoned portals to all the dimensions and shouted as loud as he could for mercenaries, gunmen, mages, warriors, knights, archers, and beings and beasts of all sorts to come to his tower so that they may stop this cataclysm in it's tracks.
This is where the story begins...
This is where the story begins...
A boy bearing a scar across his left cheek landed in front of a tower, his fist on the ground. He got up and looked around "So, this is the place where the portal sent me, huh?" He scratched the top of his head, a little bit cold. The fog wasn't helping either, but he could see some stone steps leading up to the tower. The boy felt cold, but it wasn't that bad, besides, he had another, more important, task at hand. Tightening his bandana, he started walking up the steps. "I'm getting so excited for this." He secretly hoped he'd be able to fight some strong opponents. The distortions weren't going to get any better, so he figured this was the only way to stop them. If it's the last thing he did, he'd help set things right.
Cold...... That was all that I was able to feel at the moment. I was in my meditative state listening to music when a deafening noise had echoed throughout the dark abyss that was my realm. Knowing the I had been summoned I conjure a portal leading to the source. With cold, dead eyes I began to pack my weapons into a bullet proof case. My current attire consisted of a tuxedo at the moment, but later that would change. Ready to leave I looked around and grabbed my scythe. Lets see what the dimensions got theselves into.' into the new world. Portal Closing behind me.
"Interesting..." I stood staring at a tower. "So this is the source?" Looking around I noticed disorganization and deterioration. Out of the corner of my eye I noticed someone.

Astraia was standing in front of the portal that appeared near the castle she resided in. So many strange things were happening to the land she protected. She did not understand what was happening. Portals and rifts were opening up randomly a crossed the land and she heard rumors of darkness destroying the land and creatures. Astraia tried to check out these rumors but every time she went to where these mysterious rifts and portals were sighted they were gone. She did however see the aftermath of this so called darkness it made her very uneasy.
These strange things have been going on for weeks now and it only got worse each passing day. More people were going missing and parts of the land was being destroyed by an object that had no apparent physical form. And now all of a sudden a portal appeared where she lived and she heard a voice call out to her. The voice seemed to be calling for help. She wondered if this voice was someone who disappeared. The Wacthers who served as her guard tried to persuade her to stay away from the portal but she had a feeling that she needed to take this portal. This could lead her to whatever was causing these abnormal issues and she could stop it from happening. She had a role and that was to protect the lands of the Dragnicia people.
Astraia convinced her guard to stay behind and take care of the land while she was gone. They hesitated but knew that if anyone could stop this it would be here. So they agreed to stay behind and take care of the people. So now stands Astraia in front of the portal her pale yellow eyes stared at the portal for a moment before taking her first steps inside the portal. When she stepped in it she was slightly afraid as she never went inside a portal before. This was her first time experiencing it and it made her nervous. But what only seemed like a second she stepped out into a mountain area covered in snow. The place she was at now was covered in snow and fog. Her hair lifted up slightly as the wind blew softly. This place seemed calm and silent and it only added more questions in Astraia's mind. She looked over the area until she noticed a male with jet black hair. She wondered if he was a enemy and kept her guard up. She did not want to fight if she could avoid it.

A blueish beam touched the snowy grounds outside of the building. The beam disappeared revealing two figures. One was a tall woman with a tail. She was almost entirely green, though varying shades of green. Next to her was a short tubby boy. The woman wore a leotard witha jacket over it. The Jacket had a star design on it. She had a belt on, tohugh it was tilted at an angle. At the center was a yellow diamond. She wore a pair of knee high sneakers, with a pair of thigh high stalkings. On her head was a beanie with 'cat' ears. The boy wore a red t-shirt with a star n the center, a pair of blue jeans, and a pair of flip flops. "I should've grabbed my coat."The boy said shivering. "Hey wheres the warp pad?"The woman asked looking at the ground. "Maybe we should've waited to go with the other Crystal Gems?"Suggested the boy, before the woman picked him up in a hug. "We don't need no stinking Crystal Gems! And we don't need no stinking coats!"The woman declared. "There's a building up there, see?"The woman asked, pointing at the building with her tail, before beginning to trek up to the building still holding the boy.
The tower looms over the stone pathways leading up to it, which gives a sense of dread and intimidation. Upon closer inspection, the tower is made of shale-like stone, with wood slates covering up where the windows would be. Upon getting closer to it, a strange noise can be heard, it sounds like faint, low tone growling and often shifts in pitch. Purple and black vines can be seen on the snow close to it, as well as a newly formed rip close to the mountain can be seen floating in the air.
Kyle didn't like the way everything looked "Gosh, I hope everyone's alright. Things aren't getting better." He noticed the others at the bottom of the stairs. Smiling, he waved at them, before continuing his way up the steps. On the outside, he looked confident and calm, but deep inside he was kind of scared. These rifts, or whatever they were called, could destroy everything in existence. It had to be stopped. Hearing the noise, he felt a little uneasy, not sure what to expect.
He looked at the rip. He breathed heavily, the cold making his breath visible. "Those vines... They're not natural." Kyle said, before stopping at the door. Putting his hand on the stone, he looked at the door. At first he hesitated, but knocked on it, hoping that he'd get some sort of response. Not really thinking it through, he spoke "Hello?! Is anyone home?!" The boy shouted.

The woman and the boy soon got to the top of the mountain. "I don't think this was were the others meant for us to go."Steven said. "Hey do you know where we are?" The woman asked walking over to Kyle.
The man waved at Astraia in a friendly matter before continuing up the staircase. For now it seemed like he was not an enemy. She also noticed a women and a boy walking up the staircase and wondered if many people were called here by the same voice. Astraia started to walk up the staircase as well but heard a low growling noise and it made her stop for a moment. She looked around and noticed another one of those portal things appeared but this time it seemed more like a tear? It was very hard for her to explain as it was not something that was natural to her. She also some sort of dark roots? Or maybe vines? Whatever it was she knew it could not be a good thing.
She caught up with the others but still stood a little away from this as she did not trust them and needed space if they attacked her. The man called out and asked if anyone was there. Astraia looked up at the tower and wondered if the man who called out to them was here.

Looking over at the others he raised an eyebrow "Some sort of tower. I've never seen one like this before though. It seems, sad." He frowned a little, hoping that everyone was okay. He looked at the boy "Wow, you're so short!" Kyle said with a smile, before shaking his head and looking serious again. He stretched out his right arm "I assume that someone's here, but it may be a trap of some kind. Gotta stay on your guard." Kyle said, looking at the others. None of them looked too intimidating, in fact they actually looked harmless. Then again, it wasn't the first time he was in a rag-tag group of misfits, besides, they were always the best groups. Kyle began stretching out his legs, in an attempt to keep his muscles warm.
(I need to explain something, If someone in the RP doesn't respond actively to keep the story moving, we just ignore them, and when they do post, pretend that they were there all along to keep with the flow of the RP. But since it's early in the RP, we can just count their characters as "late to arrive".)
The door opens, giving an ominous creak. A person in a torn and tattered gray hooded robe, looks at the people outside. Where there's supposed to be a face under the hood, there is nothing but darkness and void. It's not rash to think he put a veil enchantment on his robe so that they couldn't see his face.
"......The first ones to arrive I suppose...? Come in and follow me..." The person begins to walk up a tall spiral staircase, which leads to the top of the tower. "...So, my message did reach the other dimensions... ...I was expecting more people though..."

(Oh, okay. That makes sense. Hope it doesn't happen TOO often)
Staring at the void, Kyle almost jumped. He was a little confused at first, but came to a conclusion: This man was invisible, and the inside of his hood was very dark. That seemed to work for him. It was genius, or that's what Kyle thought, so no one would recognize who this strange man was. He scratched the top of his head, still a tiny bit confused but followed.
"You were expecting more people?" Kyle overheard the man talking, and decided it was best if he got some more information on what was going on. He raised an eyebrow "Sorry, but I think this is all of us, for now anyway. I'm Kyle by the way. It's a pleasure to meet you, Invisible One." It was easy to tell this fighter was more brawn than brain, yet he seemed like a very friendly person.

The man who waved at her earlier was acting carefree and she wondered if he was so strong that he did not need to remain on guard. She looked over at him but he seemed like a regular normal human being but things weren't always as they seemed and she knew that. Astraia kept to herself and tried not to draw any attention to her. Then the doors to the tower opened slowly letting out a creaking noise which seemed to bother Astraia's ears slightly. The man who opened the door had a tattered robe on but what surprised her is the man did not have a face? It was like it was just void or some kind of darkness? This made her suspect the man and decided not to trust him.
But she knew she had to follow inside to find out some information. She knew it would be dangerous to come here in the first place so if anything happened she would fight her way out of it like she always has done in her life. She would no matter what bring peace back to her lands. So Astraia followed the rest of the people inside the tower.

After taking in the destruction. I decided to partake in the sights of the open rifts in the sky."GRRR what did they do." My hands clenched in anger. I opened up a portal and walk through it, appearing at the top I noticed many others. "What did you mortals do?" I walked toward them case in hand. I eyed them down with a calculating gaze. Two female one male. All of which were garbed in various types of clothing. None of which I recognized. 'Hmmm they were summoned as well.' They were not the average group of people. A protector, a fighter, and a gem. Quite unique was it not? It actually interested me greatly. Looking to the side I noticed an even more interesting individual. He didn't have a face which intrigued me greatly.'Hmm this must be the summoner' looking at the mysterious individual I bowed. "Jae-San at your service." ((Sorry I'm with family))
"Uh technically I'm not mortal. By human standards."The woman corrected. The boy hopped to the ground. "I'm Steven, and that's Diopside!"The boy announced, as everyone else seemed to be announcing things. "OH!"Steven yelped pulling off his backpack, which looked like a cheese burger. He pulled out a coat. "Glad I grabbed osme clothes before we left."Steven said putting the coat on.
The mage had reached the top, and walked right past Jae-San. He walks over to a bright blue sphere of energy floating in the air, making faint chiming and reverberating noises. "I see another person has gotten the message, hopefully more show up..."
A tall woman stood up. Seeming dazed and confused at where exactly she was. For the land she was in felt alien to her native home of Kanako. One of the most advanced civilizations in her planetary system. She sniffed the air several times to try and identify where she was, "Well..A change of scenery isnt it?" She checked to make sure her gunblade was still attached to the side of her ex-soldier outfit before glancing up. "Where..Am I?" Kiyuki almost seemingly whined. She disliked being lost. She missed the comforts of her lover.
The Tower on the mountain casts a shadow through all the fog and snow onto Kiyuki. A stone path leads up to it, as getting closer to it gives a sense of dread.
