Zack Tide (played by kuroi_neko)

There was little in this world that could be seen as emotionless. People, for one, easily showed emotions, as well as animals. Even nature seemed to have emotions, whether it be a tree in the sunlight, or a storm at night. It all seemed to have emotion. But there were a few exceptions, and humans were the least expected. Only someone trained to deter emotion, or one that had experienced the worst of hardships could ever truly be considered emotionless. And someone who had experienced both?

A somewhat effeminate male made his way into the Château de la Lune, making his way to the front desk. He would set his thing on the ground, and then look to the person setting watch. Just looking at them. Only when asked how he could be helped, would he speak.

"A room. One week," he would say, before glancing around him. He had a lone, mysterious look about him, with a white shirt, over which he wore a black jacket with fur around the neck. He had dark blue jeans and black shoes, a fairly simple combination of clothing, but it only added to his quiet appearance.

His would just toss his head to the side a little, moving his white blond hair from his face. The tips, that reached just to his shoulder, were faded to black. His light blue eyes would look around him, as if studying his surroundings and the things in it.

And so he would stand there, until given a room.";
The hotel had been very inactive today, in fact it had been the last few days. This wasn't much of a surprise, there was usually a slight dry spell around this time of year. It wasn't hard on the hotel, it actually evened out rather nicely with the busy seasons. In this case it was rather lucky, today they happened to be a bit short handed because of a few who had to call in sick. That was why Fauna, instead of cleaning rooms, was standing behind the front desk. It was also why Sonia was taking the role of escorting the guests to their rooms.

"How may I help you, Sir?" Fauna questioned with a smile, watching the only person who had come in so far this morning. His short, and to the point, response told her quite easily he wasn't very talkative. Grabbing a book and key at the same time Fauna placed the book on the desk open towards him. "Sign your name Sir and I'll have someone escort you to your room." Fauna said, smile not wavering as she called for Sonia.

From a door behind the desk a woman came out, dressed in a royal blue uniform similar to Fauna's, with a smile. While Fauna had short brown hair Sonia had long black hair. Fauna had rather normal eyes, brown much like her hair. Where as Sonia had somewhat strange eyes, a silvery like green. "Sonia can you take our guest to his room? 218 please." Fauna said, handing her the keys as she did so. The black haired woman nodded, walking around with the keys to take his back. "Follow me, Sir." Sonia said lightly, taking his bag and beginning to head to the room.

When asked to sign his name, he would do so, neatly inking out the name Zack Tide onto the book. He would wait, quietly until his escort came to greet him. He barely gave a nod of his head to her, and when she took his bags, he would frown just a bit more. The bag might seem heavy in weight to Sonia. He honestly didn't like the idea of someone handling his bags, but, if he made a fuss of it, it might make things suspicious... and that was the last thing he needed at the moment.

So he would just follow her, keeping a close eye on her movement.
Attempting to lead the way to the room quickly, due to the discomfort coming from carrying the heavy bag, Sonia tried to hide the rush. Muscle movements would probably giveaway signs of the slight strain. Never the less it was probably good that it wasn't a long trip. Room 218 wasn't that far off. Up the nearby stairs to the second floor, the eight room in the first hall. Using the key to unlock the door Sonia opened the room and entered, placing the bag on the floor not far from the door.

Walking inside Sonia moved towards a dresser adjacent to the bed. "If you need anything hit zero then the star button, that will patch you to the front desk. If you get hungry one star will connect you to the kitchen, two star for the main office, and the other numbers with a star will just connect to the front desk. The only thing you should need to call the main office for is complaints, though I hope you won't have to. The front desk for everything else." Sonia spoke with ease, as though reciting a prepared speech that had probably been spoken multiple times.

It really had actually. Placing the key near the bed Sonia made her way towards the door. "There is a map and small guide of the city in the top drawer of the nightstand, and anything you use in the minibar will be added to your bill. Is there anything you might need while I'm still here?" Again it was almost like she was reciting a speech. Though she still held a smile as she waited to see what he had to say, after all it wouldn't look good for her if she just abandoned a guest.

He would enter the room behind her, and immediately move his bag to the far corner of the room. He continued moving things around as she spoke, explained the phone. He looked at her with a raised brow when she mentioned the map of the city.

As he made his way over to it, he spoke, asking, "How close is the Heron Convention Center from here?" He picked it up and looked it over, but he supposed he would get a quicker answer from her, than trying to find it.

He was starting to feel he should have explored the city a bit more, before checking into the hotel. He was here very early, though, so he had the rest of the day to explore.
The room was a pleasant size, enough for one person without being overly massive. There was space to easily walk around the bed which sat in the middle of the room, the dresser that was parallel it against a wall wasn't that high. Just about waist high for an average adult, the perfect place to set things. There was a door for a bathroom, the room itself had a nice theme color of cream. Neutral and relaxing, the perfect thing for a vacation hotel.

"Heron Convention Center? Little under a mile. The fastest way I could think of taking would be down the road outside south till you hit main then turn left." Sonia replied after a moment of thought, mapping it out in her mind before speaking. She actually passed it a lot on her way home from work. Though she never really took notice of the building, it didn't interest her much.

"Anything else, Sir?" She questioned, it wasn't like she had a lot of other things to do though. Most of the rooms were clean because of the dry week. All she would have been going back to would have been talking to Fauna off and on. Maybe talking to Nicolas a bit about getting that next Friday off. Since it wasn't even Friday yet of the current week she did have a bit of time left to do such.

"No," he would say bluntly, and set the map down. This wasn't going to be a social call for him, and he preferred it that way. He was here on business, and he had to focus on that. Any distractions, and it would surely mean the worst possible outcome.

He looked at her, and waited for her to leave. Once she did, he would begin his preparations in solitude.

(Sorry for short posts, they will get better, I promise)
The reply was all she needed before she would make her exit, little to no hesitation in such movement. Sonia wasn't the social type, she would speak when necessary with her work. Otherwise she would rather avoid it. So she was all to happy to get out of there the moment the chance was given. However rude that might seem if spoken.

She was happy not to end up running into any guests on the way back to the front office. A small office made specifically for things needed in the front that wouldn't fit in the desk. It was where she, with her current position, was to wait till needed. That or till she got off of work. Whichever came first. The office wasn't huge, it had some shelves and a little sitting area. When not busy there was also a bit of reading material and a few magazines. Usually only used during the slow season.

"So what did you think of this guest?" Fauna questioned upon Sonia's return, lightly peeking into the front office. Though she kept one eye on the door in case a new guest showed up. There was mostly a shrug as a response, which wasn't surprising for the anti-social creature. "He is a guest like the others."[/color] Came the light reply. "Honestly Son I don't get you sometimes. You really should be a bit more social, Nicky, your siblings, and I aren't much of a social circle just us. You keep yourself way to closed in." There was a sigh in response from Sonia, clearly an uncomfortable conversation for her.

(OOC: Sorry for how long that took :) and for the Son nickname she pronounces it like you would Sonia, Sonya, just without the 'ya' sound.)

Once she left, Zack quickly went to work. He made his way to the door, making sure it was latched for what he was about to do. After securing it, and closing the blinds to the window, he opened his back and pulled out pieces to what looked to be a set of guns. He began piecing them together, with quick speed, and setting things on the bed, while pick up other pieces.

After about five minutes, the first gun was finished, and he held up a sniper rifle, looking through the scope to the opposite wall. Once he deemed everything in working order, he turned to the next one. This was actually just a hand gun, but it looked complex. He found it easier to move around with it if it was kept in pieces in his bag. He only used it as back up on his missions to begin with, so there wasn't much point in carrying it around otherwise.

And when it was done, he stood over the bed, looking down at them. This was going to be an easy assignment, he hoped. He made his way to the window, and peered out. The car would drive past here on its way to the convention center, and -- if he aimed his shot just right -- no one would be able to tell where it had come from til he was already gone.

Now, to memorize the street below. He made his way out of the room, making sure the room was closed securely before he left, tucking the key into his pocket. He made his way downstairs, and headed toward the front door. He passed the front desk, peering for just a brief moment just out of curiosity, before making his way to the front door. There, he would stand for a while, just looking out to the street in front of him.

In actuality, he was memorizing all paths that lead through the crowds that would be there in the next two days. Two days... That's all he had to wait for... then the Ambassador would be on his way to give his speech to the city. A speech of peace that would never be heard.
Conversation paused between Fauna and Sonia when another guest came to check in, Sonia having to head off in order to take them to their room. It was in that time in which Fauna noticed the guest from before coming back out into the main room. Curiosity of why he just stood there, but she wasn't suppose to spend a lot of time chattering with the guests so she stayed at the front desk. Waiting till whenever Sonia would return.

The door itself would soon open, rather quickly in fact, as a little girl came rushing in. In fact rushing in so fast she would end up running right into Zack. The eight year old would end up off balance from such a thing, falling back onto the ground. Little Cecelia looked absolutely shocked to have run into someone, and Fauna who recognized the girl got up quickly to go over there. Mostly for the fact that the child's face was red as though she had been crying not that long ago.

Making this the perfect time for Sonia to end up returning to the front room of the hotel. "C.C. what are you doing here? Where are Con and Ems?" Sonia questioned her now standing sister, while Fauna seemed to put her attention onto the guest, Zack. "Sorry about that, Sir, C.C. can sometimes act before thinking of things."

He had really been focused on studying the area around him, that he didn't see the girl run in. And the fact that she was so small didn't help him prepare for the impact. It hardly did anything to him, just caught him off guard. He took a step back, looked at the girl, and then to the woman who had checked him in as she came over to get her.

"It's... No problem," he said, as he looked to Sonia when she joined them. He took another step back, and glanced around him. "Kids will be kids..." he said quietly. He might be the silent type, but he wasn't inhumane. He had a hint of a memory to what it was like to be a child, so, he was understanding to their ways.
The child sniffled a little bit at the mention of 'Con and Ems' their other siblings. That probably meant they were the reason she had been crying. "Emy took my Doll and said I was being a brat when I was talking about the shiny's." Cecelia said with another sniffle. "And what about your brother?" Sonia asked almost to calmly. The child lightly started rubbing her eyes before continuing. "He said I shouldn't talk about my imaginary friends all the time. But the shiny's are real Star! They are..."

There was a pout there on her face, clearly not happy that her brother thought her friends were imaginary. As Sonia tried to think of something to say, that wouldn't upset her sister further, her sister turned towards the man she ran into. "Would you like to play with me?" She asked with a broad smile all of the sudden. Apparently she wasn't at the phase where it was immensely important that she know not to talk to strangers.

Before Fauna and Sonia could say anything the desks phone started ringing, Fauna rushed over to get it as Sonia attempted to handle what was going on with her sister. "C.C. this is one of the hotels guests he probably has important things to do." Sonia attempted with a sigh, moving to pick her sister up. Such an attempt was blocked as she somewhat scurried away and behind the person that was a stranger to her.

Zack looked to the little girl as she hid behind him. He frowned, but that was his natural expression. In truth, he was thinking. And then he said something rather surprising... even to him. "Sure, I'll take her out to play. I need a guide around the city." This would make a good excuse for him to go out walking. And, if things came about, it would put him in the good with these people. Just in case authorities came asking.

"If that is okay," he added, looking to Sonia. He, of course, wasn't about to take a child without the consent of a guardian. That would make things awkward.
Cecelia seemed quite a bit excited at the agreement, seemingly forgetting about what it was that had her run over here and way from her siblings sadly in the first place. Sonia though looked quite a bit worried, after all this man was a guest. She didn't know a damned thing about him, or anything else. That wasn't exactly known as the safest kind of person to leave precious family members, especially children, with. Yet there was the fact that her sister seemed to thrilled at the chance to play with a new person.

Sonia just couldn't say no. "... Fine. But C.C. I want you to go call Con and tell him where you went he has to be worried by now." Sonia said, she wanted a moment to speak to Zack before he left with her sister. Cecelia frowned lightly and nodded, walking over to the front desks office in order to use the phone in there. Since the phone of the front desk itself was only to be used for that. With her gone Sonia felt fine in saying what she needed to.

"I normally wouldn't let her go out with strangers but she seemed so happy at the idea I didn't have the heart to say no. But understand, if something happens to her while she is under your watch. You will regret it, even if I have to find you myself." Sonia wasn't usually one to make threats, or talk to people freely. Her family was immensely important to her, and no one was allowed to hurt them without some kind of punishment. With nothing else to say Sonia walked back into the front office, sending Cecelia out in order for her to continue the phone call herself.

Cecelia was a bit confused by that, but didn't mind as she went running out the room to go back her new playmate. Grabbing his hand she started walking towards the door, attempting to lead him out. "My name is Cecelia, but everyone calls me C.C. what's yours?" The child asked pushing the door open, her first play was to lead him towards a nearby park that she liked quite a bit.

He, to be honest, was quite surprised that this person would really entrust this child with a complete stranger. She, after all, worked in a hotel, and would know the slew of people that would come in, and most being untrustworthy. He would look at her, for a long moment, before saying, "I won't let any harm come to her. If you are worried, you can accompany us, or check up on her when you feel you need to." He would feel the small child take his hand and start to lead him out.

He would check his side, first, making sure he did have a weapon on him, just in case something did happen. When the little girl spoke to him, telling him her name and then asking his, he would look down at her.

"Zack," was all that he would reply. His eyes would look about him as he studied his surroundings, taking everything in. Where every light post was, where every advertising sign stood. Every bench and every trash cans. Those were obstacles he would need to know. He noted the layout of the buildings around him, remembering each of their names. He would glance up to his window, and then toward the street, looking at the angle presented to him. But, he found himself being led away from this street, toward a park nearby.

He couldn't protest, since this little girl was his guide, in a manner of speaking.
The park wasn't exactly buzzing about with activity today. Two other kids on the swings and a couple on the play set, it was relativity empty compared to how the place could get. The parents of said children were chatting away at the benches, and there were quite a few trees and bushes surrounding the path Cecelia had chose to bring him into the pack through. It was her favorite path after all, so much prettier than the bare concrete of the other paths. Then again she had always liked the trees and such. Especially when the trees were climbable by her.

There were a few other kids, off in the field. They seemed quite disappointing by the fact there was little to no wind. They would be unable to fly the kites they had brought with them. That lack of wind had been expected in the forecast though, in fact there wasn't suppose to be much wind that whole week. Which was exactly why the sudden strong gust of wind, the one that caused Cecelia to stop walking, was so strange. The wind came and went out of nowhere, seemingly only in that area. It made the girl look around a bit in almost a panic before attempting to pull Zack into some bushes. "Come on we have to hide they're coming!" She said in a rather hushed voice as she tried hiding in the bush.

True enough after a moment someone did end up coming, a group of five walking down the path looking for something. "Did you see which way she went? One of the group asked as they paused to glance around, still somewhat near the bush. "No I just saw her go down the path, who was that person she was with? I don't remember them in the files." Replied another, the first spoke again. "If we don't have him in the file he isn't important. Kill if he gets in the way. Split up and search Aiden is getting impatient with how long this had already been taking we need her today." Clearly he was the boss of the group. Heading into the park the inconspicuous group would split up, none of them seemed to assume she would have had the foresight to know they were coming. That was why, for now, they would not be checking the bushes.
Zack Tide (played by kuroi_neko) Topic Starter

Zack had been watching the people in the park, just interested in them as they went about their everyday lives. But, the sudden gust of wind caught him off guard, tossing his white blonde hair about as he looked forward again.

He would follow C.C. as she led him into the bush, ducking down low enough for the group that appeared to not see him. He had his hand at his side, ready to draw a weapon. He wasn't about to kill anyone though; not in broad daylight, with people around, and a child at his side. It would completely put a kink in his current operation.

He would just watch the group as the spoke, and frowned. It was quite obvious they were after this girl. And... he thought back to the warning he had received from Sonia. He wasn't about to let anyone lay a hand on the girl.

When the group dispersed, he turned and looked at the little girl. "Who were they?" She obviously had known something was up, so it was only natural to question her.
Peeking up a bit from the bushes she looked towards the park, they were looking around. It wouldn't be all to long till they started checking the bushes, it was surprising enough by now that they hadn't. It would probably be best to get out of there soon though before some others were hurt. After his question she spoke, but it wasn't an answer for now. "Lets go first then I'll tell you what I know." She was quite intelligent on this matter, since if they stayed there to talk then it was more than likely that they would be found.

Leaving then talking was good. Yet she was still far to trusting, since she didn't know him and had offered to reveal quite a secret. The child didn't even consider that something worse could happen if he knew, after all it all started when Aiden found out back before Cecelia was even born, before Sonia was born. Cecelia didn't know about that far back, in fact it was almost strange in the fact Sonia actually knew much less than Cecelia. But the child would tell him that later, first she started running out of the park.

She took them further off down the street, into a rather large mall. It was crowded and noise, with a lot of places to hide in, so it would be difficult to be overheard or found here. If they found the right place it could be difficult to be seen in fact. The place the child chose was a clothing store, climbing into the middle of a circular rack of clothing. If they spoke quietly they wouldn't be heard, stayed down and they wouldn't be seen. To Cecelia it was the perfect hiding place, then again she was a child and anyplace that wasn't the easiest to see was perfect.

It was there that she finally answered his question. "I don't know who they are, Son doesn't even know about them. They don't care about her since she lost her ability to talk to our friends. I don't know why since our friends are nice..." The child frowned at that, seemingly a bit sad. "In fact she and the others think they are imaginary, that I make them up.. but I couldn't have made up them causing that wind to warn me of those mean people. Their not imaginary! Wanna see them?"
Zack Tide (played by kuroi_neko) Topic Starter

Zack would follow the girl, not only because he had to, because he had promised the woman from the hotel, but also because he was curious. This little girl seemed quite... intelligent for her age. As if she had been taught by someone, or something.

He, too, felt childish when she pulled him into the clothing rack, and this was definitely not a good thing. He felt very unprofessional doing so. But, what could he do? He had somehow thought taking on the responsibility of watching a child would be a good idea. For all he knew... he looked like some pervert, slipping into a clothing rack with a child.

He would listen to her, not quite sure what she was talking about. She claimed that the wind had told her those people were approaching them, but that didn't make sense to him. And she asked him if he wanted to see the people that had created the wind. This piqued his curiosity a bit more, and he slowly nodded his head.

"Sure," he said.
A bright smile came as she nodded, clearly it was rare for people to agree to meet them. Closing her eyes Cecelia started humming softly, a song she didn't know the words to. She might learn them someday but for now it was just a tune to her. After a moment or so of this soft humming a light appeared, floating near the girl. A little glowing ball, the closer a person looked at it the brighter it seemed. Making it impossible to tell if it had a truly defined shape or not. After that a few more appeared, hovering in the air and floating around casually. When they appeared Cecelia stopped humming, still smiling though.

"Can you take us to the fields please?" She said to one of them. They didn't seem to speak back, not with words anyways. They did, however, start moving. Flying around the two of them remaining within the confines of the clothing rack. Eventually everything turned to a blur before the store and everything else would dissolved around them, when the lights stopped moving the only things around were fields, and a castle off in the distance.

The castle in the distance clearly looked like something in a little girls fantasy. In fact looking around closer would show a few creatures that were mostly assumed nonexistent, this place was either somewhere the lights had found or a place they had made for a little girl. Such creatures were a few Pegasus flying in the sky, a herd of unicorn grazing off to the east. Who knows what else was in this place. "These are my friends, this is where they used to bring Son when she remembered, they used to bring Ems here too but she also forgot! I don't know why... I won't ever forget!" Such was said with the determination of a child.
