I mean, I love this site and the people here are very nice, but a problem I have in this site is finding people to RP with. Most people here only seem to have human characters, but I generally don't play RPs as a human unless they get a REALLY cool pet to accompany them, and more often than not I have more fun RPing as the pet than the person. As a result, I generally don't see many RPs that interest me at this site. I even made an RP earlier about small animals fighting owls, but at this rate that RP is doomed to fail. Is there a similar site like this one that might have more people who use non-human characters more often?

I would generally recommend Furcadia, though we have so many furc players and furre characters on-site, I'm pretty shocked you haven't been able to connect with them.

I agree with Kim - points at self. There are many from furcadia here.

I find it easy to connect with fellow Furcadians by searching the Furcadia game tag on here! Have you tried that? Here is a quick link!

And kim is right, Furc is a good place to find anthro charas, but there are a few of us anthro users here on the rpr I being one of them lol But Furc is massive and has stuff for everyone

Taking a stroll through the Browse Groups page might also be a good idea. I know of a few groups off the top of my head that are set in worlds accommodating both furry and human characters. They are based out of Furcadia, but it's a lovely text-based game that allows you to connect with many people.

If you go through the most viewed characters you'll find that the first portion has a very high quantity of anthro characters.

Actually they all are - not a single one is human!

On the subject of Furcadia, while it does allow you to RP pretty much anything (within ToS) you'd like, that means you'll still find plenty of anthro characters even if you wander into a dream(group) that supports the use of humanoids/non-anthros too! It's awesome like that.

On the subject of Furcadia, I specifically recommend the Allegria Island main map, which is home to many player-made maps that are centered around roleplay settings that are focused exclusively on feral (but 'sentient') animals. There are also some other offerings in a similar vein, such as The Dragon Realms, which is a map based on the Spyro the Dragon video games.

Aside from that, there are several popular roleplaying settings located on the Imaginarium main map. Look for anything tagged Dragonlands--it uses Furcadia's official canon, which focuses on anthro characters.

After you do a bit of networking there, I'm sure you'll see that a lot of folks use RPR to host their character websites, but you'll have already been easily introduced to some groups of people that are interested in the same thing you are without having to hunt or interact with specific individuals in the hopes of finding others. I prolly won't be, but that's not because I think the concept is bad, but because I don't have any characters for that kind of rp.

I'm a Furcadian roleplayer, but not a furry. I see the difference in that I play a character who is a cat.. man.. thing, but I don't identify as a cat.. man.. thing, I think most of the people I roleplay with are similar.

Looks like they need you to fill out a form from the forums, but they are members only if they have them.

I suggest dropping a message to the group founder, Aantara, for help with this.

I have Repede, which is just a dog, Red XIII/Nanaki which is a four legged animal with human like intelligence and Scais, a Dog Man person. If that counts.

The only furry I kind of avoid are Sonic characters, because it feels awkward to me.

Aren't those RPG characters? Sure, I can RP with Scais, but... why does everyone hate Sonic so much? Every time I see people bash him, I feel kind of sad inside. Maybe because I can't get away from it.

Every franchise has its opponents/decriers(spelling?). It's just something you gotta let roll off your back and not let it get to you. As a Pokemon fan, I've seen my fair share of folks hating on it--including other fans! Lordy, the Pokemon fanbase is a fickle and broken beast. Point is you'll always run into someone who REALLY dislikes something you're a fan of, and you just shouldn't let it bug ya. Less stress that way.

As for your issue with Eileadora's application, I'm just speculating here since I haven't tried to join in recent months, but the question asked may be related to their off-site forum! They're a group based in Furcadia, after all, so their question on the RPR app might be set up to ensure folks who are interested acknowledge their own website/forums and its relevant information. But it's still a good idea to check in with the Founder, like Sanne suggested.
