A long dark path leads up towards a mansion well decorated for the holiday with carved pumpkins and blood spattered about the walkway was it fake? No one could be sure! Though the air hung with a tinge of sour rotting meat as well as the scent of burning fireplace in the distance. As one approaches the large property they would get the feeling of someone watching them. Blue eyes peered through the trees in the distance, there would be a crunch as someone breaks a twig. Are you being followed? No.. not likely.. but then again who broke the twig?
In the distance a hard wooden door looms, black with golden trim it holds a lion's head knocker. Jack-o-lanterns guard the steps, the candles within the carved faces seem to be leaking wax out the mouths and in some cases the eyes as well, The wax was deep in color causing the faces to look all the more horrid and grotesque in nature.
Another loud crunch of leaves and twigs heard some paces back, though looking there would be no one there. Giggling? Was someone laughing? Strange you would have thought yourself alone on this long path. As the door was approached one could hear the sound of something dripping, big fat droplets hitting wooden floor if one was to guess.
Do you dare knock and hope what lies behind the door a treat?

He swore to himself he wouldn't skip this house. Not this year. No matter that he almost peed himself halfway up, he wasn't turning back. The giggling made him jump, and walk a little faster despite his fear. When he finally made it up to the door, he reached his arm up...and saw it tremble. He pulled it back and replaced it with his steady, metallic one instead. He knocked three times. As the door slowly creaked open, he stumbled over the words..."t...trick or treat...?"
Sif approached the house slowly and carefully. She kept hearing things behind her. The breaking of twigs, the howl of an owl, the skreech of a crow and a distant giggle. She shook it off as just the wind. She was alone after all, wasn't she? The mansion got bigger and bigger with each step, towering over her. She walked up the stairs and admired the Jack-O-Lanterns. Someone really went all in with the Halloween decoration. She herself was dressed as the Queen of Hearts. The dress went to her knees. It really suited her rather well. She loved this time of the year. She had to admit though that this place gave her the chills. She stared at the door handle. She could hear something on the other side of the door. She pressed her ear against the door and listened. Drip drop drip drop. What was it? Should she go in? The door was right in front of her, and the lion knocker was a few inches from her hand. What could possibly go wrong?..
"Oh my such a nice place!" The wolf says to himself, grinning and watching as people walk up to the house. He runs for a high hill, loving Halloween. He howls out to the moom and grins. Then he runs down the hill in his wolf form, knowing he would have some real dark fun.

As the door opens he would see large feline like creature sitting in a pool of blood, coated head to toe with the goo dripping from an unseen source above. She grinned with demon like teeth, it's tail flicking crimson goo in all directions as it approaches, lifting bucket of candy as it slowly creeps closer, low guttural growl emits from it, head lifting bucket candy full to near over flowing as it approached, eyes glowing vibrant cyan as it looked at the male with metal hand. It would seat itself before him with bucket in mouth, not seeming the safest creature in the world, would he reach for his treat?

The door burst open as feline beast hovered above frame, her head poked forward from the frame with a devious grin "Ahh, do come in! Come get your treat my dear queen!" Voice deep and gravely. Puddle of crimson goo, likely blood but in dark room it was anyone's guess. Droplets would stream from above in large amounts. If it came from living being it would only be assumed that said creature was long dead and then some! Kitom's claws dug to the wall could be heard clinging and scraping as she moved herself to the floor, paw lifted in a gesture of inviting her within, she sat on hind legs pointing to small table that held the still quite full bucket of candy.

With most recent guests tended to she perks ears hearing a distant howl, not recalling this as one of her recordings nor device she had set outside. She would peek from her door out her porch as long neck craned up, eyes scanning the hills for what it could be. Her wings ruffled as she seated herself on the porch hesitantly eyeing her walkway.

Sif was surprised by the sight that met her, when the door opened. She was curious and didn't know what to think or to say. She wondered about the dripping and it looked like blood. Thick, dark red blood. But she must be hallucinating. It was probably just fake blood. She hesitantly entered the house, shutting the door slowly behind her while eyeing the place. "Thank you." She didn't know what else to say. Trick or treat? What was this place anyway? It had her completely stunned and empty for words. She's not usually the person to be shy, but she couldn't think of anything to say. This place really gave her the chills. She looked to the candy bucket and then to the feline beast again. Kitom purred to Sif, tail flicking gently as she held paws to her chest. Feline beast let out a soft chuckle as the door was closed, the room dimming to near blackness, small glow of Kitom's eyes and few lit candles the only provided light in the large echoing room. Claws on floor could be heard gently clicking against the hard floor. This room was much larger than it seemed, each breath, step, and heartbeat could easily be heard. Kitom circled about to the table, stepping in the crimson goo, leaning forward to gently lap a bit up, tongue gliding over whiskers as she looked back to Sif "Do take a treat my queen, it is Samhain after all." she purred deeply, standing beside the table with a devious grin. "You do wish to recieve a treat instead of trick, do you not?"
As soon as the door was shut behind her, the room was completely dark. There was a dim light from the candles and she could only sense Kitoms eyes and figure. It took a while for her to respond and for her eyes to get used to the darkness that was surrounding them. "Yes, of course! I'm sorry. Happy Hallow's Eve!" She hesitantly picked up a lollipop from the candy bucket on the table. It was a strange place. She was a bit embarrassed about her behavior. "Sorry again, I just.. I'm a bit paranoid, I guess. I felt like someone was following me earlier.." She sighed slightly. She actually loved places like this. It was a shame for houses like these to be neglected. Of course it was a bit creepy, but it was the thrill of it, she guessed. What might be hiding behind the door?

Grinning Kitom's teeth seemed to shine in the flicker of candlelight. The mention of being followed gave her quite a bit of entertainment, her little devices and various sound clips placed outside did what was intended! Wet claws and paws sloshed through the floor as she moved about the room "Oh you've chosen the sucker? I do hope you enjoy." she purred with a small laugh, perhaps what was taken wasn't the best? "It may have a bit of.. different flavor." deep throaty laugh sounding once again as she licked crimson goo from her paw "I will allow one more choice of the bucket, if you can guess what it is you've taken and wish another." The old mansion was indeed looking as though it was neglected, though this was for the holiday as usually her home was dark and dank she emphasized the frightening feel of her home. In the dim light if she chose to look at her candy she would notice an eye planted dead center, fake of course but that's what the dim room was for!
Sif only got a glimpse of the eyeball in the bucket and gasped, while putting her hand over her heart. She calmed herself down. It was most likely fake, but a pretty good prank. She couldn't help, but smile and giggle. She started to like Kitom more and more. She was interesting and fun. Apparently she knew how to give people a good scare. "Different flavor?" She raised her eyebrows a bit and listened to Kitom's words. She looked at the lollipop. It looked ordinary. "I'm gonna guess it tastes like candy corn?" She wasn't a huge fan of candy corn and didn't know what all the fuss was about, but it seemed likely. "Or maybe it's like one of those jellybeans that taste like rotten eggs or grass!" That also seemed likely. And it did struck her that Kitom might be quite the prankster. "Hmm.."

Sif listened interested and carefully to every word she said. She looked at the lollipop again. Again. It looked like an ordinary lollipop. It was green with stripes. She had to admit that she kind of liked the idea. You never know what you're gonna get (no reference intended). It could fill your heart with delight or maybe even cause vomit to go up your throat. She was really fascinated by it. "Nah, I think I will risk it." She shrugged her shoulders and put the lollipop in her mouth. At first there was nothing, but then she could slowly taste it. It tasted like... "Lasagna?" She raised her eyebrows. She had never before in her life tried a lollipop, that tasted like lasagna. She was pleasantly surprised. "Wow, you're right. It's actually very interesting." She wouldn't mind just hanging around. She has nowhere else to go, and she likes talking to the feline creature. Her feline friend. But she would never intrude or force her company on her.

Kitom gave a nod with a small purr of sorts "Mmmhmm... if you like you are welcome to more." Nod given towards the bucket as she began to groom her paw of crimson liquid, mouth opening as she caught a large chunk of what could be described as a hunk of flesh in the dim light. Tongue gliding over her whiskers and maw "Would your highness wish to see more of my home? Samhain does not cease just because we are on the main floor." she grinned "And I must check upon my meal, it is getting rather cold." she added with low tones.
"Thank you very much, my feline friend, I appreciate that." She bowed elegantly and smiled politely. Kitom immediately got Sif's attention, when she asked her about the house. "I would love to, if it's not too much trouble." She didn't want to invade the cat-like creatures privacy. Although she may be the Queen of Hearts for tonight, she herself was not more royal and arrogant than anyone else. She wondered about the meal she talked about, but didn't ask about it. She allowed herself to take a candle, so it could shed a bit of light, so they could see where they were going. She was a little excited about this actually. So far, this had been a great Samhain for her. She looked shortly out the window and then at Kitom again. "What is your name, if you don't mind me asking?"

Kitom would give small bow of her head at the thanks "You are most welcome your Majesty." Exaggerated tone given to 'Majesty' as though she were Alice and addressed the red queen from the book. Nod given at the acceptance of exploring the home and given a tour "Of course, please do follow." Ears perking as she noted the taking of a candle "Afraid of the dark?" She inquired with small chuckle. Long body slinked towards the large elaborate door at the farthest wall, paw pressed to it she would pause when asked her name "Ah, my name?" She chuckled lightly, pushing the door open "Kitom, daughter of Loki, brother to the thunder god Thor." entire name and title spoken she seemed rather proud of her name! Head and paw pushed against the large door, shoving it open as she gently stepped into the next room, large oak door was intricately carved, hardly seen in the dim light of the candles. It depicted a raven and long elegant swirls like one would see in an old styled Nordic home. Wet paws padded the floor as they entered an overly large room, this one held staircase at it's center and two doors behind. To the left was a kitchen entrance, the right would be a sitting room with hearth. She pointed each out made for the stairs "Welcome to the main halls. This is where each servant travels to reach the rest of the manor. We will be heading above, to.. check on dinner." She almost purred at the idea of her meal. Tail flicked behind as she began climbing the stairs "Oh, and don't let the light out, the servants don't bother me anymore, but they tend to fancy fresh meat. The light will keep them at bay but if it's gone out.. there is no real help for you." She grinned, white fangs glinting in the dim light.
She couldn't help but chuckle a bit, when she called her 'Majesty'. She followed Kitom excitedly. "No not really, but it helps to set the mood, don't you think?" She smiled a bit and gazed at the flickering fire. She looked up, while they walked, and paid attention. "Loki? The god of mischief?" She was really surprised. It's not every day you meet a child of a god. "My name is Sif. And before you ask, I'm not THE Sif. I don't really have any specific title, but they do call me Chevalier. And other than that I'm the Queen of Hearts, if only for tonight." She actually loved her middle name. It was french and meant 'knight'. But whether she was related to the warrior-princess Sif, ally to Thor, and if her middlename was just a coincedence was beyond her. She had a question, but waited a bit before she asked about it. She looked around and then at the flickering lights, when Kitom advised her not to let it die out. "Servants?" Once again Sif was confused, but she had an idea of what the cat meant. "So they're vampires too?" But then again, she had never heard of vampires being afraid of a little light. Sunlight maybe, but the light of a candle? Unlikely. She held the light out a bit, holding on to it carefully and not letting the flame vanish, to examine the room. "I must say it is really beautiful."
Wonder was a human of no fear. When he was younger, he used to hide under his blankets whenever he heard the words "creepypasta" or "Sonic.EXE" or other "terrifying" things of the sort. Now, he just laughs at how stupid they all were. All of these years of awful horror movies, worsened horror games, and the worst of horror stories were just nullified thanks to the Internet. And then, Halloween arrived. He swore a vow to find the scariest thing possible this holiday, he'd find something to haunt him forever.
And then he stumbled upon this home. Already, the horrid smell of rotting meat and flesh had almost made him vomit. He quickly shook it off, and slowly approached the entrance, like how any other moron does in horror movies. Stepping towards the door, he could hear twigs snap, leaves crunch and crumple, and the giggles of...something.
WG: (almost sarcastically) OoooOooOoOOoooOoOo... So spooky...
He rolled his eyes and scoffed, thinking this was just child's play. But deep down, deeeeeeep down, he felt a little anxious about the entire ambience. It was incredibly well made; well, for Halloween's standards. Eventually, he reached the door. Strangely, the typical bowl of candies weren't near the entrance.
WG: (chuckling) You want people to work for these sweets... Alright, I'll bite.
He groped to doorknob, pushing it downwards and pushing the door towards. As he did so, an ominous and chilling wind blew right past him, sending chills down Wonder's spine. The main hall was mysteriously dark, foreboding even. In the distance, he could see a puddle of some red liquid. He snuck closer to see what it was.
WG: Blood...?
It looked so real, too... As he was inspecting the liquid, he heard a conversation between two people or creatures... He got closer to see who or what were there?
WG: H-Hello...? Is there anyone here?
There was a hint of hesitation in his voice.

Kitom bowed forward again with a small giggle of her own at the sound of that chuckle. Small nod given at the comment of mood being set "Oh yes, quite the mood." Grinning she would Give a nod as she walked "Yes, the God of mischief and mayhem. It makes for quite a bit of fun during the holidays." She chuckled. Ears perked she looked back with a smile "A pleasure miss Sif. It is nice to meet another that could be of the family." She giggled lightly. They would walk some distance, through hallways and various doorways. Ears perked when asked of servants "Yes, the servants, I suggest you don't encounter them if possible. They are not vampires.. more like.." She stopped a moment thinking "I suppose one would call them zombies? Perhaps fledglings?" she shrugged "They are what is left when you drain a body of blood and soul but not until death. And they quite prefer snacking on the living." she would continue on ears flicking as wings stretched with small yawn "mm, I thank you, my home is quite well cared for these past few centuries." She smiled "Many hidden places and passageways as well, makes it easy to keep house when you can store things in each room out of sight." Back leg kicked a large grandfather clock causing it's chime to clang as it shook a moment, then slowly slid to the side revealing a passageway with stairs leading upwards through thin corridor "Such as here, this leads.. ah.. I actually forget.. I believe this is a servant's entrance but I could be wrong." She shrugged.
