Xianto (played by hannibal32)

The Visrain Empire, a human empire dedicated to conquering the world recently industrialised gaining access to steam-punk tech levels which suddenly gave it an advantage over the neighbouring countries. In a matter of months they demolished all the small kingdoms around their territories expanding at a fast rate. In the end before the kingdom he was in was overrun a mage of extreme power opened a rift calling people from other universes and times who he hoped would be powerful enough to kill the Emperor and his guards. What he did not know however is that the Empire had already called on another person and that this person would be joining his group of heroes.

Those who had been called would all feel different things as they were summoned to this world however as they were summoned they would all hear a voice explaining the situation to them and telling them to meet in the centre of the village they would find themselves in where some people would be waiting for them. Then before they arrived they were all given a mark of a silver cross somewhere on their bodies which the voice said they would be able to identify each other with.

The village they would awaken to find themselves in was tiny, not more than a small collection of wooden buildings surrounding a square with a small wooden palisade around the perimeter of the village. In the town square two men sat both wearing armour and looking completely out of place for where they were. The few townsmen seemed to just be ignoring them and trying to get on with their own lives. Hoping that the war would not affect their small village, or pretending it did not exist. Either way they didn't bother the two soldiers sitting in the square both of whom bore a silver cross on their arms.
Talbot Argentum (played by Quantipede)

A dimensional hole tears open the space above the village, and from the black void came a peculiar sight . Hurtling through the air was a man with an eye patch gutting another with the blade of his sword. They both land on a cottage inside the village, causing it to collapse in itself. From the rubble the man with an eye patch emerged with his sword, pink steam sizzling on the blade. He looks around and bows to the villagers and guards in apology. "If any of you would be so kind to tell me where I am right now, that would be quite helpful." (Decided to take the initiative, sorry if I wasn't supposed to.)
Inigo and Olivia (played anonymously)

At one end of the town, a boy would appear from a portal. On his left shoulder there seemed to be some sort of shield. This shield was either a black or a very dark shade of grey, and it was trimmed with a gold color. Obviously it wasn't actual gold, only a similar color. His current attire was somewhat like a noble's from a fantasy time. It was neatly knit into a blue sweater with white sleeves. The collar was just as high as the man's neck, and there were seven stars just below that, scattered across his chest. Along his black belt, there was a silver sword holstered into a sheath.

He would move some of his obviously not straight hair away from his eyes so he could see what was in front of him better. Now his hair was more of a mess than it already was, but he didn't seem to mind it that much. It was his usual style anyways. Looking around, he would see a town that looked somewhat liked a village from where he had just came from. That would definitely be of help, he would be used to this place. He thought it was going to be a place with a completely different culture. Perhaps the ladies will be just as good here?

This man was none other than Inigo. No, that wasn't going to be the name he gave anyone, including the ladies that he would soon flatter. He was going under the name of Lazward. Lucina always told him that if he were to go to a realm like this alone, try to hide his true identity.. Or at least the name, which is what he would do. Approaching towards the center of the village as he was told to, he would see a man talking with some guards, who wore rather strange armor. Before he looked too much into it, he noticed his right palm seemed to have some sort of mark on it. A silver cross? Interesting.

Glancing up, the first thing Inigo saw both a sword and a man crashing into a cottage. "By Naga!" He'd let out on accident. Were there Risen in this realm, too? ..That can't be good at all. Perhaps I should- Nevermind. He would interrupt his current train of though when he saw it was a normal man, who was now apologizing to the guards.
Catena (played by Twilight)

Another portal opened and a girl daintily stepped out, landing with incredible grace for someone wearing such a tight dress and short hoop skirt. Catena dusted off her skirt huffily, pausing for a moment when she noticed a small silver cross on the inside of her ankle. "Interesting." She breathed, before standing back up and glaring at the two people in front of her. "Oh lovely, more peasants." Catena muttered under her breath, just loud enough so they could hear her. She turned on her heel and walked over to a guard. "Excuse me," She said with fake sweetness. "would you mind telling me how to leave this vermin-infested hellhole of despair?" Catena asked, smiling warmly. "I prefer not to assosciate myself with idiots." She muttered, jerking her thumb in the direction of Inigo and Scolopendra.
Hazel Richards (played anonymously)

Beside a house on the southern part of the square, another portal opened a small, brightly haired woman in strange clothes appearing from it Compared to the others her outfit was quite different, consisting of black leather boots, a pair of green and black pants with many pockets, plus a brown short sleeved shirt and a large white cloth wrapped around her neck finished her attire.

Carrying a wooden case nearly as long as she is tall she makes her way into the square proper, leaving her rifle to hang from it's sling. Overhearing the other girl that had also just arrived she frowns "If they are here, it means they have one too. Idiots or not, you'll just have to find a way to work with them." she'd says bluntly as she lifts part of her shirt to show her cross "Name's Hazel. As long as none of you touch my things without asking we should get along peachy..."
Vice Jager (played by Novarion)

Balls of fire, shards of ice, and lightning crackling from the sky. We've all seen extravagant entrances but this was by far the worst. The sky above began forming clouds as the three elements raged within the cloud. As time passed though an object eventually fell and the clouds dispersed. The crash into the ground made a thunderous boom from beyond the hill. "This is why I hate portals." The boy complained. "They never spew me out right thanks to that turd." He looks up at the dispersing clouds as they part to reveal the gatekeeper himself, each foot resting on a patch of flame. "Bloody turd face!" He shouts up. "Can't just leave me alone, can you!?"

As Vice had fallen he had summoned Titrus to break his fall. The large behemoth lay in the centre of the crater, belly up, and Vice stood on top. Cerberus himself dispersed to smoke as Vice climbed off the beast, making his way out of the crater and into the village. Titrus following a fair distance away, and stopping just outside the village. Vice soon found the others, all talking amongst themselves. "Hey." He waved. "So uh, this is the Summoned comity huh?" He asked pulling up his shirt to show the silver cross over top of his heart. "So...Guess best thing is to start off with names? I'm Vice. Vice Jäger and... I'm a summoner." He seemed troubled to state such words, as if stating a disease one might have, or a behavioural problem.
Xianto (played by hannibal32) Topic Starter

The two waiting men showed little surprise at the entrance of the others, as if they had been expecting it while the villagers cowered away from the new arrivals. All of them deeply shocked by their sudden appearances and in some cases very dramatic ones at that. Both wore full plate armour which covered most of their bodies apart from their right arms which they hadn't added to allow their silver cross marks to be on display.

The one on the right stood up first and began talking. "So these are the summoned heroes, eh? Well my name is Xianto and the man to my left is called Kenelm. I am a sniper and Kenelm when he is ready wields a very heavy duty suit of steam armour. We are the chosen people from this world and I understand that all were told the reason you were summoned am I correct?" He sounded slightly unsure about his facts as if he did not fully understand how the summoning worked.

The other man quickly butted in, "well either way if you are the ones who were summoned you should have a silver cross somewhere on your body. We have seen some of you have it but would it be possible for the rest of you to display yours? Either way if you have any questions we will try to answer them to the best of our abilities, however before we answer your questions could you each please give a quick description on yourselves and powers so we can formulate a plan based upon them"
Talbot Argentum (played by Quantipede)

At this time Scolopendra was a good 50 meters gone, walking off whilst everyone made a grandiose entrance. Hero? Him? Now that's a good joke he would laugh at later by himself.

He was the opposite of a hero, rather. And he had no remembrance of getting a silver cross imprinted on himself. Readjusting his eye patch, Scolopendra figured that they had mistaken him for another guy.
Inigo and Olivia (played anonymously)

Though the lady, who was most certainly the serious and secretive type, Inigo was not affected. Or at least, not until he realized that the voice came from a lady. For him, that certainly changed things! "Ah, one to like making early presumptions, I see. I do not mind, m'lady! But a dark heart isn't as healthy as a..." It took Inigo a second to think. If he said 'light heart', then it would literally mean the same thing as dark heart, due to light also being weight. "...Beautiful heart." He'd finish. "As much as your words wound me, I don't believe in hearing evil!" Inigo would say. The whole time he was speaking, he wore a rather... happy smile. Though Inigo actually did hear evil all the time, it would not stop him from using the metaphor.

He would glance over at the other woman. She had orange hair, almost like Gaius in a way. ..No, EXACTLY like Gaius's hair. Orange hair is orange hair, right? However, a big 'surprise' is that Inigo has the urge to flirt with her! ...Like every other thing that moves and can look great in a skirt. "Well said!" He'd say with a chuckle. He'd lift up the palm of his right hand, showing her his own cross. "I'm Lazward. I look forward to getting to know you better." He would greet with his fake name. Though some would call him a philanderer, Inigo honestly wanted to have bonds with the people he meets. Yes, mostly girls, but that is beside the point, right?

As the last man appeared, he didn't pay that much attention to him. However, he did hear a rather large boom earlier, but surely this guy didn't have anything to do with that. Inigo simply nodded to him. Since he didn't hear it, he decided to repeat his "name" just to be polite. "Hello. The names Lazward." He'd say with a nod. He kept the grin he had held through the whole time he was right the others.

Suddenly, he heard the voice of Xianto. He turned to him, nodding towards both knights when he introduced him. Kenelm? Perhaps this guy will be like Kellam from Ylisse, and he'll always be forgotten? Perhaps not, Kellam is a special case. The two of them wore rather... odd armor. However, Inigo didn't question it. He was in a completely different realm, so it was refreshing to see new designs in a realm then the same ones. "Well, if it will help, then might as well." Inigo would respond, lifting up his right hand, showing his palm. His left hand grabbed his sword. He tilted it horizontally, and it was pointed towards his right arm. It fell underneath it, however, so he was not stabbed.
"My name is Lazward! I wield swords the best out of anything. I could probably use a different melee weapon, but definitely not as good as a good old blade. ...I should also mention I know a little bit about healing, but that is all. A little bit." He would reveal to them all so they would know more about him. There were other things he could have said, however it would probably be best if he did not keep going on and on about himself. During his time talking, he didn't even notice one of them had begun walking away.
Catena (played by Twilight)

Catena laughed humorlessly. "A beautiful heart?" She said scornfully. "If we weren't in the same situation and you couldn't be used as a little pawn, I'd likely have you sent straight down to hell by now for being so..." She paused, searching for the right word. "..uplifting." Catena flashed him a wicked smile, before stalking off again. She sat down on a nearby bench, glaring at the rest of her group. Sure, most were far below her in social standing and class, but she must learn to like at least some for them to function properly. What was that word again...? Catena thought. Be...befriend..? But friends signify....good. Oh forget it, I'll just ally with someone. She rose abruptly and addressed the two men who seemed to be the only ones who had any idea what was going on. "My name is Catena. I hate pretty much everything and a large majority of the people here. I'm a witch that specializes in poison, summonings, usually of demons or weapons, and death or fire spells." She said emotionlessly, sitting back down.
Hazel Richards (played anonymously)

Seemingly unfazed by sheer weirdness of Vice's arrival, Hazel looked around at the group, thinking to herself as she took a moment to give each one a good look "They are all going to die....or most of them...how could anyone ever think this group of weirdo's is going to do the job they are here for? I mean, there's Little Miss darkness, a skirt chaser, the loner wolf that's walking off...and Mr. big entrance. Even worse...I think I'm the oldest here. This is going to go Terrifically..." Finally she came to Kenelm and Xianto "They seem competent, and dangerous. Specially Xianto since he's a sniper like me....but I guess that makes me the pot here doesn't it? I wonder how big his rifle is. I'll check that later after talking to Kenelm about his armor."

Acknowledging Vice and Lazward's crosses, Hazel shrugs as she speaks "Nice to meet you all. I'm a scout sniper. I specifically deal with heavy armor...." she glances at Kenelm "...and that's why I'd like to talk to you about your armor later and Xainto's rifle. So...I look forward to working alongside all of you." With that she adjust her grasp on her case and starts to follow Scolopendra "But for now I suggest we follow our friend's idea and leave town. No reason to sit and wait for the enemy to just find us right?"
Vice Jager (played by Novarion)

Introductions? Great. He was never good at those, but this was to let the others know what they could do. Not really finding the right words for it all he held his head on his right knuckle while his elbow was propped up on his left arm, crossed over his mid. "Hmmmm, well I think it's better if I just show you."

He waved his hand and summoning circles popped up randomly to let loose his carbuncle, hellhound, giant crystal scorpion, wyvern, and the two tiny twin mana sucker worms. Outside the city two other larger circles formed as Titrus the behemoth climbed out from it and Cerberus materialized within its zone.

"I'm a summoner so my skills... Vary." His right arm began to form crystals as his left turned black, growing claws and trickling off black flames. "I can summon beasts, demons, creatures. Pretty much if it ain't considered human by my power I can summon them after making a pact and can use there abilities depending on my compatibility with them. So far this is all of them... Minus one. I don't have control over him or Wrath over there." In response the Cerberus roared from the two side heads as the middle one glared down in anger, as if seeing a tasty snack. "Yeah, go bite your ass you flee infested mutt!" He yelled back at the hound of hell. "Oh, and I got a telepathic link if they are close enough. Usually if I can see them if there wasn't obstructions I can communicate."

He waved his hand as Wrath lunged and he exploded into burned bark flakes that fell below, though not hot to the touch. "Bloody mutt can't just take a damn order." He cursed.
Xianto (played by hannibal32) Topic Starter

Xianto and Kenelm looked at each of them as they introduced themselves. Making a mental note about each one. Xianto was the first to speak. "Our enemy the Visrain empire shall be attacking this town soon. I suggest we leave before then. We cannot face their armies so it would be rather bad to all die before we started.

Kenelm nodded. "I will just get mine and Xianto's equipment while you sort out any disputes. While your at it will someone please get the guy walking off back here. He warped in just like you folks." With that he departed into a small building nearby

Xiantos looked over everyone counting slowly in his head. Quietly, but not quiet enough so that others couldn't hear he spoke. "We seem to have one more person than we should have. Oh well it is probably nothing." To hazel he said "you will see our equipment soon."
Talbot Argentum (played by Quantipede)

He yawned. All this nonsense about silver crosses and summoning was weirding him out. And honestly, maybe a bit over his head. Scolopendra could honestly care less about what happened to this world.

(for lack of better words)
Inigo and Olivia (played anonymously)

After having finished his own introduction, Lazward listened to the others with a smile on his face. The redhead chick, who said her name was Hazel, said she dealt with heavy armor, and then something about things called rifles... He had an idea what a sniper and a scout was, so he presumed that she was an expert with a bow, and she usually went on ahead to scout around. The rifle part was something he knew he'd need to ask her, or someone, about later so he himself knew. No idea this world was going to be this surprisingly different... There's so many different things here. Lazward thought to himself, rubbing his chin slightly as he did.

The man after him, Vice Jäger, said he was a summoner of sorts. Finally, something that Lazward knew something about. Summoners were basically mages or sages from where he was from, except they can also summon creatures. That is what Lazward got from watching him show off his spells. His smile slightly lowered when he heard how he was treating the summoned aid. That was definitely not a way to get things to smile, but that wasn't the important thing right now.

Glancing over at Kenelm, Lazward would nod towards him. "I got it. Don't want anyone else getting their hands dirty." He said with a chuckle, referring to Hazel and... Whoever the other girl was. She didn't tell them her name yet, or at least based off of what he heard. Sheathing his sword, he began to walk towards the man walking away. However, it took him a few seconds to realize that this would go no where if he just walked after him. He was quite a few meters away at this point. This caused Lazward to break off into a sprint after the escapee.

(This next part only applies if "Lazward" catches Scolopendra)
If Lazward is successful in catching the runaway, he would pin his arms behind his back. "Try and..." He took in a quick breath before he continued talking. "At least get to know us better before you run off.. Alright?" He said with a smile, chuckling a bit. "Otherwise we may need to force you too!" Lazward would muse. He began to lead the man back towards the others.
Catena (played by Twilight)

Catena smiled approvingly at Vice, and clapped a little. "Scratch that!" She called to Xianto. "I no longer hate that one!" She yelled, pointing at Vice. "But I still hate everyone else, especially Lazward!" Catena shouted, making absolutely no attempt to spare anyone's feelings. She smirked as she watched Lazward chase after Scolopendra. So stupid...wasting their energy on pointless tasks...who cares if he does not want to be here? I don't want to either... And the tattoo is sooo ugly... She thought, her mind wandering as she slowly grew more and more bored.
Hazel Richards (played anonymously)

Hazel looked at Vice's display with little surprise for someone from a world without magic. Not to say that her world didn't have strange sights in it. Considering the things she had seen and done one might say that her weirdness meter was thoroughly broken if not outright absent. It was proving a very useful trait here.

Stopping she looked at Xianto "That's what I just said. Either way it's the right choice to leave this place. Once we get moving, perhaps you can tell us more about our enemy and how they operate. Habits, rules...anything that can be used against them." the tone of her voice while initially nice, took a noticeably dark turn at mentioning the enemies possible weaknesses. Just as quick as it had come, it was gone. Shrugging her shoulders at Xianto's observation she comments "More that can help then the better? Either way....I'm more concerned about your equipment. It can give me a idea about what to expect to come across."

Before Hazel could turn to tell Lazward that she could take care of herself, having heard the reference before due to her height, he was already off after Scolopendra. She'd tell him later not to worry about her. Everything could be dealt with one issue at a time. Then Catena yelled out. Not even bothering to look her direction, she spoke loud enough for all to hear "You should show your teammates more respect. You never know when they might save your life....or not. They'd be less likely to save someone they hate....or they might even be the one to put a blade in your back. Remember that Little Witch."
Vice Jager (played by Novarion)

An extra? Vice frowned as he said such but had little time to think on such things as one of their merry band decided to walk off. One of the others chased off after him, but Vice barely paid attention. If someone didn't want to be used, then let him. They had an extra anyways.

The lady in black though seemed to have some charming words. At least she had taken an interest in him. With a swipe of his hand the summoning a vanished, all except for the carbuncle that climbed up Vice to sit on his shoulders like a scarf. "So Visrain huh? Well I don't know about summoner a here, but where I'm from I was considered a tool of war, brought out only to end wars. Be it tens or hundreds of thousands of soldiers I can hold this city for you until you can send proper reinforcements." Vice declared.

His statement wasn't an exaggeration, more an understatement if he really just went wild with no remorse for the people he was defending or the side he was playing, but declaring the safety of the village was priority to him. Looking around he could see the villagers straddling the outside huts, away from the group. Looking to a young girl, probably only nine, he smiled before Nemesis jumped down and raced over, mewling like that of a kitten and attempting to get the girl to pet her.

Seeing this village reminded him of the home he never had, and the family he lived without. He didn't want to see these people hurt for being so close to the border. "If it is ok I would push and lure their army away. Though slaughtering would be an option, I do t think revealing our fullest strengths so early is best."
Xianto (played by hannibal32) Topic Starter

Xianto looked at Vice then shook his head. "you seem to have misunderstood the power of the Visrain Empire, this nation we are in does not have the forces to hold against it left anymore. The capitol fell around a week ago to them and the Iron and Wind guards are moving in on this area as we speak." He paused for a few seconds. "Fighting them here would only cause needless massacres in retaliation. As saddening as it is to lose more territory to these people we cannot afford to fight every single one of them as we go. Besides the more they know our strength and numbers their supreme commanders will either be sent to hunt us down or to guard the Emperor which makes our task far harder."

Kenelm returned into sight wearing a suit of huge plate armour which had a blue pulsating pack on the back. Also down the armour and over every limb of it ran these dark blue lines which converged on the pack at the back. There was also a dark blue cord which ran from the pack to where it connected into the pommel of a huge broadsword on his back. In his hands he was carrying a large case which he handed over to Xianto who strapped it to his back.

"Right" Kenelm spoke. "we can be going and I do believe it is for the best if we leave right now as their advance divisions of their airfleet should be here any second. Whoever is going after the idiot walking off make sure they are quick because the way we need to sneak past their armies I devised will not work if they get here by the time we are leaving."
Talbot Argentum (played by Quantipede)

Scolopendra was picking up the pace. These people were getting even more loony by the second. He had no idea how he was "summoned", for he had simply been picked up with the guy he speared and was tossed through god knows what. Hanging out with these people would prove fatal for his health, IF he did not end up in an insane asylum prior to that happening. Besides, they've got quite the assortment of fellows to ward off whatever imminent disaster this place was in. For example...If he sized them up without any bias, he would say having two guys in heavyset armor (Xianto & Kenelm), a huntress with a rifle larger than his arm (Hazel), an exotic pet tamer (Vice), a princess with a loose mouth (Catena), and a womanizing vermin (Lazward(?)) were more than enough to fight off whatever pansies stood in their way.

Or at least that summoner with an overgrown dog would be able to do it single handed. He shook his head. Scolopendra was way in over his head. Plus, he didn't even have that little tattoo that inducts people into the "Save the World from an Invading Empire" quote unquote. What was it? A green arrow? A yellow lightning bolt? It mattered not to him. These ingrates would neither prove of any use to him either.

The first objective in his mind was securing a passageway back to his world.
