Though it was hurtful, Lazward decided that he would ignore the insult obviously directed to him by Catena. How did he know the insult was directed at him? Well, for one, Lazward had a brain. Some may say his brain's only function is to hit on girls, but he says different. For example, he knows that was an insult directed at him because Catena said his name right after the insult. Someday, he would need to teach this girl how to smile. That will be Lazward's challenge while he is on his little 'trip' in this strange new land. He managed to get his very serious friend Lucina to smile, how hard would it be for Catena to smile? Granted, Laurent would be a harder challenge, but that's beside the point.
For some reason, while he was going after Scolopendra, he felt as if something occurred to him. "..Wait, why am I doing this? If he's gone, more ladies for me." Lazward realized. He would chuckle to himself after silently telling himself those words. "No one is going to miss him anyways, right? We're already one too many. Maybe he's the extra." He would add on to continue to assure himself that he didn't actually need to go after Scolopendra. He turned to go back, taking one glance back at the man-who he still didn't know the name of yet-and then walked back over to the group.
With only a little bit of hesitation, Lazward walked over to Xianto and Kenelm. He needed to give the two a reason for why he decided not to go get Scolopendra... He couldn't say he wanted less competition, that would probably lower his chances and make the girls prefer the animal guy. Of course, Lazward was not considering the fact either could be married. "Well, don't we already have an extra man? If we get him to come with us, we might end up putting too much focus in he doesn't run off instead of the task we're supposed to be on." Lazward said, oddly enough with a huge smug grin on his face, but he quickly went down to a neutral expression.

Catena decided to just block the rest of the group out. She'd had enough stupidity for the day. She wished there was some sort of college, or academy nearby. At least the people there could hold an intelligent conversation without turning it into a power competition. Catena sighed and snapped her fingers quietly. A flame sprung up, and she held her hand to her ankle, attempting to burn off the tattoo. The fire would not hurt or burn her skin, but it might have some effect on the ink. Sadly, this turned out to not be true, and the tattoo was left unnaffected.
