In a thin scrubland that bordered between the mountains and the more barren steppes, a woman finished eating her dinner, a medium sized snake, and cleaned up her camp before retiring for the evening. Kicking off her boots and removing her gun belt, the woman simply turned her back to her fire, now burning low, making sure that her good side was up, though she knew from experience that she would roll over in her sleep. The day had been good, as had the day before, with only a small trader caravan having been seen, and that being a distance off.
As usual the lone wolf traveled the lands wondering absently when he'd reach the next town. Although it was only a small interest to him at the moment. Not too long ago he had picked up a fresh sent of a human, it's distinct feminine tinge becoming clearer as he neared it's source. The sun had begun to set before the sent was more than a little warm. He'd make it before the night ended it was certain but how long he could only guess.
He kept his nose to the ground but his pace would have left a human far behind had he been followed. None the less he didn't reach the end of the trail till the campfire had dwindled to mere embers. He approached carefully watching where each paw fell as to not make a noise, lest it awaken his prey. He continued his approach cautiously yet confidently, twilight and the fire's coal reflecting in his eyes making him look more threatening than he would ever be.
His tail swished happily, he wouldn't be sleeping alone tonight, as he came upon the female. He'd seen plenty of humans attracted particularly to hide to wrap themselves in. The night would feel colder as the fire would continue to die down, so why not he let her wrap herself in his fur. If a skinned hide was so warm to them one with blood still flowing beneath it should be a wonderful present on any night. He'd take care not to unsettle her as he lay himself against her gently placing an arm around her as he arranged himself for a night's rest.

As the moon got higher in the sky a small puppy lay in the snow her grey fur covers her as she slept in the small log . She shook violently as she tried to get up as aye woke up she stretched and looked around ane she was blind she Allways had be and Allways will be she wimmperd and she winner "daddy" she looked around and she picked up a scent of a wolf.
She followed the scent and she bumped into something with fur she wimperd and she curls up and wisperd "warm"

The woman didn't wake immediately, the one of the two moons of Þettaerheimurleikmaðurminn passing overhead and the other, larger traveling a quarter of the sky. When the woman did wake, however, it was somewhat spectacular.
Her eyes cracked open, and as she suspected, she'd rolled onto her right side. Patting around her free right hand, the left seeming to be trapped for some reason, the woman finally snaked her hand free of her duster blanket and felt around, coming in contact with a large, hairy arm. Then a scream broke free from her lips, along with a string of obscenities. "AH! Fuck! Fuck! Why fuck! Fuck! Fuck! Fuck!"
More than words lashed out from the scarred woman, as she kicked and punched and struck out at anything and everything furry. Fists and feet still flew as she rid herself of her duster and snatched her revolver from her pistol belt and began indiscriminately striking with the butt of the gun until she scrambled a few feet away and turned, her pale left eye placid while her right was wide in feet. Pulling the hammer back, the woman was prepared to fire at the slightest provocation.

Oh what was it he was feeling waking him up, he couldn't stand the pounding. It felt like a horrible massage hitting all the wrong places. He groaned and tried to grab more of his snugly, that female he had cuddled up to but didn't feel anything around him but a lump of fur. He groaned against annoyance clear in the near growl as he was hit rather close to where a male should never be struck. It forced him to open his eyes to identify what was doing such a horrible job. Lucky him, the first thing in sight was the but of the revolver coming down on his face.
As it struck a whimper was heard from the throat of the wolf, he didn't understand what was wrong with this person. In his confusion he managed only to defend his face lessening the blows to his face an "ow" being heard with each strike he received. "Ow ow ow ow ow wow... Wow?" his eye caught sight of the fluff ball he had felt earlier. A pup? Holding out a warding left paw now each ow changed to "whoa" till finally the woman seemed to have thought he was beat to a satisfying pulp.
He'd attempt to lift himself up some more towards a sitting position keeping the paw between himself and her. He had his first chance to look her over when she had backed off from him. Not the most pleasant sight but it looked as though there was maybe some potential around the burnt part, still not much meat left on the bones.
Oh right fluff ball, he remembered. With a final "whoa", the request to keep her assault at bay emphasized by a motion of his outstretched paw. Reaching for the little fluff-ball of a pup, he was going to pick it up by the scruff of it's neck. Of course it would be in plain sight of the woman he'd then add in, "hello? Cute cuddly?"

The woman's lips twisted into a snarl, made worse by the scarring, and she adjusted her aim to line up directly center on the outstretched thing before pulling the trigger, fire and smoke erupting. Her aim had already twitched back to the big wolf, the thumb of her gun hand coming up to pull back the hammer again, her trigger finger feeling the welcome click as the pounds necessary to make the hand cannon bark were shortened even further.
"Tell me why I shouldn't put a neat little hole in your head, pooch." The words were hard as iron, though croaked, as if the burnt woman didn't use her throat for much besides breathing. Her free hand scrambled around her, finding her gun belt and wrapping it around her waist, cinching it one-handed while she waited for his reply.

Yellow eyes watched the scene play out from a safe distance, waiting for the dust to settle before intruding. A tall, curvy female sat perched upon a rock, canteen in hand, chuckling slightly as her tail twitched behind her. Her black fur helped her blend into the night, and she had her blue hair braided and tucked up underneath a black handkerchief. She wore a simple black tank, shorts, and hiking boots, and sitting next to her perch were a small pack and a walking stick. After weeks of traveling the desert alone, it was nice to see some other sign of life.
A wolf's yelp is heard barely over the echo of the gunfire as he tosses the puppy, not paying attention to if it lived or was reduced to a head with no body. It wasn't the gunfire or the fact this female had actually shot in his direction but that she hadn't left him completely unscathed. A gash ran across the under-side of the wolf's fore arm, pain seeping from it as blood mixed into his fur. The arm was brought around to his muzzle. He had to contort in such a way to lick at the fresh wound his elbow was jutting out and half his face would be hidden from someone sitting in front of him.
Quiet whimpers were heard from him as he tried to clean the fur around the wound and catch the dripping blood. The gun pointed at him and the woman's threats weren't as concerning to him as how much an annoyance it would be keeping his fur clean for a while. He'd been licking at it for a while before remembering he was in the presence of another and looked back at her to see the gun pointed at him and her face in a snarl. He couldn't help thinking how she needed to work on her smile, she'd likely turn away quite a few men with a glower like that. Oh, she threatened him the wolf remembered, he wondered if maybe she was trying to get him to go away. He watched her a bit and decided it was most likely that.
"I'd make a much worse heated blanket for you that way." Licking at his arm once more before continuing, "and that's just messy, and mean." He shifted his focus back to his arm wondering if fur could be stained from blood and how long it would be stay.
He'd not noticed the feline perched in the distance, still too concerned of his dripping blood.

The woman had missed the feline as well, her human senses the least sharp of the group, though perhaps her instincts were better, and her capacity for violence certainly seemed to be at the top. At the wolf's reply, an indignant look crossed her face, causing her to adjust her aim and fire off another round, this one aimed to the left side of his head. "I don't want no fucking heated blanket!"
The shot and the screamed remark were loud enough on their own, but it would perhaps be the woman's aim, adjusted for the fourth time, that would demand undivided attention. When she pulled the hammer back this time, the barrel of the revolver was aimed somewhere dear between knee and navel on the wolf. "Who are you, and what do you want?!"

The female stood, deciding that it was time to make her presence known and try her hand at saving the wolf his manhood. She gathered her pack and walking stick, then approached the scene from a direction far from the gun toting female, not wanting to threaten her any farther. She made sure to walk loudly as she approached, making her presence known to the two strangers. She smiled as she talked, her voice smoky in the moonlight. "I hope I'm not interrupting anything. I've been on my own for weeks now, and seeing something other than a tumbleweed moving sure is a sight worth seeing."
The wolf stopped licking mid course as the shot grazed his hair leaving a trail in his fur. A growl of protest was heard right after. First blood now his mane, he was beginning to not like this woman, a rather rare occurrence. Even with the fresh threat or the damaged pelt anger or fear still didn't show on his features. "A little comfort goes a long way," he'd mumble just loud enough for the human to hear. He'd look down from her face to see where she was pointing the gun, it seemed to be a less vital spot than the last times, "oh hey hey hold on. I still enjoy those." Moving his hands to cover that spot, a little less concerned with the blood now than before.
"I'm uh, I'm.." he stammered at her request for a name, interrupted by a noise coming from a different direction. His ears perked up to the sound of someone approaching and a voice, female it seemed. A chuckle couldn't be suppressed and in truth no effort was made in such an act. "Exactly what I was thinking, but she doesn't seem to enjoy company much." His voice would carry far enough for it to be heard wherever this new creature would appear from. Wolf eyes would wonder through the darkness searching for the figure that carried the voice, but the wolf's hand would keep protective of his precious space.

The feline's voice startled the woman, causing her to swing her pistol towards the other female, then back to the male. "I'm in the middle of fucking nowhere, and I run into two people?!"
The burnt human whipped her free hand out, snagging one of her boots long enough for her to produce a knife from within. The blade was pointed at the feline, the woman constantly switching her gaze between the two as she tried to put her boots on without using her hands, though from the milky white eyeball and the large swings of her head when looking to her left, it would be easily guessed that she was half blind. "What's your name, kitty cat? I'm still fuckin' waiting on yours, pooch."

The feline smiled, not feeling overly threatened by the stranger. She stopped in her approach, placing herself somewhere in the middle of the two without being too close to either. "The name's Adrianna. And I'm no threat to you, darlin'." She glanced over towards the male, who was currently doing his best to shield himself. "And I really don't think he is either- so why don't you just simmer on down and we'll just figure things out here." She set her pack and walking stick down, showing her willingness to allow herself to be vulnerable, and looked at the woman expectantly.
The wolf didn't immediately answer the human's renewed demands for a name. His attention was focused more on the arrival of the feline, relaxing as she steps between himself and the human. Not having his jewels as directly threatened wasn't the only reason he relaxed. He couldn't see much detail in the night but her attractiveness was more readily apparent, mainly her curve probably due to the feline being mostly a silhouette in the night.
Sucking back in his lolling tongue as he notices the sound of scraping on the ground he looks past the feline to see the human struggling with her boots. He thought it would be so much easier if she used her hands but didn't question her deterministic attitude. None the less he couldn't help but tell her, "I could help you with those." Adding action to words he leans forward to start crawling towards her on all fours. "Oh, and Ayuran," he adds as he moves.

The woman slipped one foot into her boot just in time to lash out with the hard heel aimed right at the big wolf's face. "Don't fucking touch me!" The other boot slipped on a moment later and lashed out as well, twice in quick succession. Scrambling back a few more feet, the woman's mismatched expression switched between the wolf and the feline slowly, her pulse beginning to slow.
"...Adrianna..." The woman's clear eye flicked to the feline and the point of her knife twitched a moment. The female seemed like she was least likely to try anything stupid, and the human stared for a moment before slipping her knife back into her boot, eyes flicking back to the canine. "...Ayuran..." The woman's face twisted into a bare-toothed expression more suited to a threatened animal than a human. "Dog, I will gut you if you don't stay over there."
The woman's eyes flicked between the two of them, the left eye always slower than the right by a hair, and she finally lowered the pistol, holstering it slowly. "...Sam..."

Adrianna smiled, taking a step towards the wolf, as if to intercept him as he looked to be moving towards the woman. "I don't think she likes us much, pup. Maybe we should just stay over here." She looked at him, her yellow eyes bright and reflective in the moonlight. Glancing back towards the woman, she decided to distract the wolf for a moment longer, maybe allow the woman a bit more time to calm herself, attain a better grasp of her sudden and unexpected company. "Ayuran, huh? So, what's your story? What brings you out to the middle of..." The feline tilted her head to the side, looking around for a moment, "well, wherever we are?" She sunk to the ground, pulling her knees to her chest and looking up at the male in an attempt at keeping his attention on her.
Boot heels flew across a wolf's face leaving him with a bewildered expression. A second before, his progression towards the female had been stopped by the feline interposing between them. Such an act granted the wolf only lashings of wind across his face as Sam's attacks fell just short. "You're just a meanie," He tells her and really thinks so. Not wanting a hug, who wouldn't want one? He couldn't understand such things. His ears droop at her final threat clearly pouting, "fine, I don't want to end up like that other thing..."
Wolf ears were still drooped and Ayuran still pouting when he noticed Adrianna trying to get his attention. His perk up a bit but he was still pouting a bit. "I was looking for some snuggles..." He looks up at Adrianna his attention, what attention he had for anything, more focused on her. "just didn't feel like spending the night alone again I was following a scent so I don't really know where we are but I came from that way." He says pointing North-East, the same direction Sam had traveled the day before. "Then I found her" he tilts his head indicating the reclusive human Sam, "I didn't think she'd mind to snuggle on a cold night in the desert. Would you?"

Sam had finally calmed enough to collect herself, and piled some of the wood that she'd collected when making camp upon the coals of the fire, along with some dried plants and grasses. Leaning into the fire, the woman unsuccessfully tried keeping her eye on the two of them while she gave a long, gentle blow into the coals. A moment later, tongues of flame crackled and popped merrily, happily illuminating the area around the three, in contrast to the scowl on the hermit's face.
"My scent?! You followed my/ scent all the way here and decided to 'snuggle up' with me?" The burned woman looked like she was going to draw her pistol again, and indeed she even placed a hand upon it as she straightened up her things and made sure nothing was missing. "This is exactly the skind of thing I try to avoid! Other people!"

Soft footsteps on the ground shuffled nearby. The water-user, Korotuna, smiled at that little outburst. "I must say I share the sentiment," the silver-haired person spoke in his usual effeminate voice. He scratched behind a pointed, pale blue ear and continued, "Other people are either nuisances or pawns, not without the capacity to be both."
The person wore medium blue cloth robes with a darker blue string tied tight around the waist to show his somewhat feminine features. Other than the clothes on his back, he carried nothing on his person.
"Judging by what I have heard," he said, never mind the fact that he had only heard Sam's recent outburst, "You are nuisances who will get in the way of my goals. I'm entertained by you, so that makes you my pawns as well." He was just talking to himself by then. "I will stay around you."

The feline raised an eyebrow at the wolf, a sly smile on her face. "I'm not quite the snuggling kind, darling. That sort of activity is best for the post-game party. I prefer my pre-game to be a bit more active, if you get my drift." Adrianna watched Sam rekindle her fire, the flames dancing in the desert moonlight. Her attention was diverted, however, by the quiet approach of another. Her ears perked up, head turning towards the newcomer. She listened to him speak, finding herself intrigued with the newest stranger, but her yellow eyes darted back towards Sam, worried of her reaction of yet another intruder upon her camp. The woman was very clearly unhappy with the presence of the newcomers, and Adrianna thought that it may be best if she soon just continued her way on her own.
