"Almost. You didn't exactly give us time to grab anything after you said to grab something."
"I can't believe you're complaining."
"There are people, no, civilizations wishing they could take a step within my ship."
"You got a free ride and you're complaining?"
"There are people, no, civilizations wishing they could take a step within my ship."
"You got a free ride and you're complaining?"
"Almost breaking our necks seems like something we could complain about," Mars added, shrugging. He wasn't really bothered by the way things had happened he just liked annoying the man.
He glared at Mars and then Yandela.
"Any day you both want to fly a Type 48 Tardis in complete manual control, be my guest."
"Just warn me before hand so i can evacuate the planet."

"Noted."
Her expression grew serious. "Seriously though. What are Soul Shards, aside from the probably obvious? And whose soul is it we're collecting?"

"I have no idea."
"However, i do suppose they hold some sort of significance to the being that brought us here."
"I have a theory."
"When i was piloting the Tardis to this location, i saw a huge tower to the west of this mountain."
"It didn't look like a tower leading upwards though, there were no signs of physical structures within it."
"I'm guessing it's a cover for an underground base."
"And there's one more thing...."
"There are more of those 'stone men' within the tower."
"This is basic logic, they must be protecting something in there."
"Something like maybe....a shard?"

Mars contemplated the question "Beats me, the only one we could probably ask would be that kid. Especially if everything in this world is as hostile as those men were.."
The crudely constructed robots were zooming to and fro, completing their menial tasks. Another one went past. Another one went back. There was another one dumping wood.
"...How irksome. Destroying as you wish without any heed to anything. Truly befitting of a man who clings so selfishly to his desires. No wonder your empire lost, with such vain men like you commanding the force."

Xianto looked up then ignored the thing that had appeared in front of him. His machines mining out the mountain were of far more importance to him. However he did attach his new weapon into his armour.
"...How...Disgusting."
He kicked over a robot into the mineshaft, and pulled out his sword to slam into the weak shell of another robot.
"It isn't nice to tear apart families...Without reason, of course...Destroying their homes for the sake of one purpose. You are an awfully pathetic man."
With that said he pushed another robot into the shaft and slices the arm of the drill, causing it to tumble down the shaft and create a large explosion.
"Now usually I don't interfere with other people's business...But..."
He clutched the object he had picked up in the forest when he went back tightly. In his fist was a pocketwatch.
"Watching you destroy the homes of loved ones may have made me snap this time."
He picks up a pebble and throws it at his hand to knock out the tool he was holding. Scolopendra was raring for a fight, and his eyes were half squinted with burning contempt.

"Not like we have anyting else to go on anyway." He agreed "but if there are more of those "stone men" then how are we going to handle them?"
"How do you plan on taking out an entire tower of powerful soldiers??."
"I rescued you that last time, i'm not sure i can do that again."
"I rescued you that last time, i'm not sure i can do that again."
"If anything, we rescued each other," Yandela corrects through gritted teeth.
"Really when you think about it we kind of saved ourselves. You see if we had left you like you'd kept insisting then who knows where, and in what shape, we'd all be in." Mars inputs, amiably. He really hoped this wouldn't turn into another argument, the two were like an old married couple.
"...fair enough." She frowns. "I still want to know WHY we're going to do as the creepy kid asks."
Edward looked at the both of them.
"Hopefully the shards can power my ship and i can get out of here."
He lied.
There was no interest in the shards.
He was more focused on learning more about the young woman than getting simple shards, whatever they may be.
"So where are you both from?"

"So where are you both from?"
"Cordliad," she murmurs, thoughts focused on the mission. "Horrible place."
"Detroit." He offered, there wasn't much else he wanted to add to that point. He had no idea where Yan was talking about either.
