Edward admired the woman, her beauty was clearer than ever.
The display was interrupted as his ship materialized in front of him.
He pushed the doors open and inside was Scolopendra.

"Are you bloody serious?, didn't i say that it was out of power?!"

Yandela pipes up before an argument can start. "Hey, you! You've been places! Do you know of any semi-safe-semi-urbanized places where we might find an inn?"

Edward glared at Scolopendra.

"You don't do you?, remember we didn't find anything remotely close to a city..."

"You remember don't you?"

"...Magic?"

As of on cue, the TARDIS made a noise resembling a dying seal. He grinned a bit sheepishly.

"Well I'd like to correct your calculations now. It's dead NOW."

He hopped off and waved at the two.

"I don't believe we've formally met yet."

He also neglected to tell Edward his alias in the short time they were together.

"Oh yeah...I remember...There was a-"

He spoke too soon before Edward spoke.

"Uhm."

"I think your memory might have been affected during the journey here."

He locked the Tardis doors.

"No one should go near the ship until the atron energy levels are at 100%."
"That's one month."
"One bloody month stuck here."

*tumbleweed and wind blows past in awkward silence.*

Mars watched the men's behavior. It was rather suspicious, and this new arrival didn't seem to be a very good fibber. He was willing to bet there was an inn nearby. "So is there or not?" He asked the new person.

"Is there really?" Yandela grins. "Could you tell us where? I really don't think I have enough magic to do the spell I was about to do and I won't recover any magic if I don't sleep well so is kind of a circly loop id be stuck in..."

"Urgggh."

Edward had no intention of letting Scolopendra take the glory of finding an Inn, indirectly forcing him to give in.

"Come to think of it, i did see an urban city a few miles down, with some people there."

"It seemed safe."

It looked like the man had bought his jig. Quite easily in fact. So has the woman. He smiles.

"Well the thing is we will be stuck on the mountain since our transportation is a bit...Out of juice. Was YOUR memory jumbled, Ed?"

Mars narrowed his eyes. Suspicious. He wasn't buying what these two had to offer "So that means we're sleeping in the dirt still?"

"...we have literally been here less then twenty four hours." Her eyes narrow dangerously. "How do you forget an urbanized area that quickly?"

" I had my memory jumbled during the transportation process."

He mentally thanked Edward

"But I digress. Yes, there is a city close by. It strangely resembles a place I once knew. Unfortunately, there is trouble afoot. There are these strange dome like robots that are roaming the place and terrorizing the streets. We need to get into the center of the city, called the Big Pig. If my 'jumbled memory' serves correct, we might be able to obtain a certain shard.

"Regardless, I was looking to enlist more help when my dear partner deserted me...and stuff happened that brought us together conveniently. So how about it? I help provide protection and shelter in exchange for your assistance in eliminating these metal trash boys?"

Xianto just continued underground working on his emperor. Upgrading him and consistently feeding him knowledge. Making sure that this version of his emperor was as perfect as the one he had left. Slowly he worked on six others. His closest friends he had also left behind.

He looked at Yandela and then back to Scolopendra.

"She's in no mood to fight.
As for the teenage boy, i think he might genuinely just be a teenage boy. No specialty whatsoever."

"I have no interest in endangering her life....
as well as this boy here as well."

"Forgive me for being so plain. He's right though. Yan needs sleep, as she said, before doing any fighting."

She grins sheepishly. "Sorry..."

"I never said you had a choice. We sleep in a city full of robots with strange photon weapons, we won't wake up. So we either let me pitch tent and camp her for the night, find fuel for the contraption, and take the city tomorrow, or we go in now and establish a stable place of operation. Either doesn't matter to me."
