He inspected the map in clear detail.

"Yup, it's like i thought."
"The map pinpoints the locations of certain power outlets.... or in other words."
"Shards."

"All we need to do is follow it, and we'll have our first shard in no time."

Mars narrowed his eyes and looked over Edward's shoulder at the map. "How do you know that's what it is? That dot and spot could be anything, right?"

Sparing Mars no kind glance he continued studying the map.

"Because i say so."

"Right. So we're supposed to follow your lead blindly like sheep?" he said shooting a glare at the man

"If i were you, i'd be happy to have the company of a Time Lord."

He turned to face Mars directly.

"The only reason this planet still stands is because of Yandela. I don't harm women."

"...you're both wasting time." She points at the Time Lord. "Your ship is out. You couldn't destroy this planet if you wanted too."

Her finger points towards Mars. "You know better than to argue with someone like him."

He turned towards Scolopendra.

"Do you still want to get going?"

"Hate to break it to you, but the kid has a point. One point humanity, zero for Time Lords."

"Whatever, regardless of who, some people just need a little ego check," he grumbled quietly. "Plus what time are we wasting? There's no time limit, nor do we know what any of this stuff even is,"

"Well I'm glad someone agrees with me, though" he said gratefully towards Scolopendra

"Pathetic."
"Alright then........."
He struggled to speak.
"W-What do you all suggest we do...."

"I believe the best choice of action would be to first figure out what these instruments do."

It would be the most logical as well, seeing as they had absolutely no clue what special powers these devices contained.

"I'm sure the map and compass are... Fairly self explanatory." She frowns. "But a feather?"

"I wouldn't be so sure, Yan," he said simply as for the feather he just shrugged "Maybe we're supposed to tickle our adversaries into compliance?"

He takes the feather from her and sticks it in Edward's hair.

"Well at least we can play charades now. Guess what Ed is? That's right, he is a featherbrain. Humans two, Time Lords zero."

"Guys!" Yandela uses Edward's shoulder as a brace as she lept to collect the feather from his hair. "This might be important! If there's anything I know about magic, it's that it's hardly what it looks like."

Despite Yan's chastising, Mars still snickered at the joke. "I was going to guess bird brain," he said "Well you know about magic Yan. So what is it?"

Edward stood with a blank expression trying his utmost hardest to regain his composure.
In some galaxies, he was known as the nightmare of death and destruction. Here he was being transformed into a fool from an elusive dream.

He remained silent.

She grits her teeth. "I can't tell... I'm still too drained... I can't even read Mr Dark and Ominous' auras, and they're pretty strong... All I'm getting is a faint reading confirming there IS something about it... That's different..."

"My thoughts exactly."
"It wasn't so long ago, that we were engaged in combat with 30+ men."
"How about you actually listen to me and rest before trying to figure out some ancient magical artifact."

"Oh shut UP, would you?" She snaps. "You don't know sh*t, so just lay off. You're as clueless as the rest of us, so why the hell should we listen to you when all we know of you is that you can flirt with me and make threats to blow up the world?"
