Edward stopped running. He looked around the forest which was now covered by a large sphere-like object.
He noticed the young boy who, with all things counted for, seemed to be quite at home in this situation.
There were also others in the same location. They seemed as oblivious to the concept of the transportation as he was.
The child asked a question.
Edward did not reply.

He looked at the kid and then at the others, sizing them all up. They looked stupidly funny. An assortment of beings that he guessed probably stuck out at one point clomped together into a group just to stand out even more.
Here was some man with the ability that he could hear beating his heart(s?)four times in a row giving everyone the silent treatment in one corner. In the other corner was a girl conjuring some funky magic in her hands. Then there was that boy who brought him, and he guessed the others, here. Scolopendra decided to humor him.
"Sure. What do you have in mind?"

(Yandela - Oh, oops )
The boy smiled once more. "I want you all to entertain me. Find all seven Soul Shards, located somewhere in each Kingdom. Once you find them all, I'll grant you a wish. Sound good? Of course, there are some things which can't happen, but... What are the chances you'd wish for that? Anyway, ciao!" And with that, he disappeared, and everything began moving again as the world became light once more.

"Wait!" Yandela shouts, jerking as if to move to the spot the kid just vacated, but managing to stop. She curses. She glances around at the others around her, being sure to turn her back to no one. "What the hell does he mean 'Soul Shards'?"
"Seven soul shards?"
The setup of the situation was simply too ridiculous for Edward to acknowledge.
Here was a little kid, no more than eleven telling him to find 'soul shards' as if he were a simple servant.
"Oh i'll find the soul shards alright, right after i put your soul inside them".
It was too late to respond, the boy had already disappeared.
Edward glanced around the setup.
There were eleven other people. He couldn't help but laugh. A few of them looked absolutely ridiculous.
The closest to him was a female. From her skin texture and general behavior, she appeared to be human.
Edward set up a plan, the first thing he'd need to do is to get his Tardis back.
Once that was done, he could decide whether or not to blow up this planet or indulge himself in this petty game.
However, he was on an entirely new world. You could even argue that this was a completely new universe, meaning that getting the Tardis back would be no easy task at all.
He might need the aid of the people here after all.
He turned towards the female and walked down towards her.
He reached out to give her a handshake gesture.
"Edward Hudacious, pleased to meet you".

Scolopendra yawned.
"Looks like everybody is already getting friendly with each other. How tasteless."
Then an idea came into his mind, and he walked over to the girl and man(?). He motioned for them to come closer so he could whisper.
"Say, since this is a harmless game, how about we spice things up and form an alliance? We can go by ourselves prematurely and take the shards for our own use. Some friendly competition wouldn't hurt, and I'm sure there are some people here you wouldn't want to get their hands on the shards.
Like himself, he thought.

Mars was busy focusing on the boy to notice his companions. So when then boy disappeared he just looked around at everybody. It seemed that three of his companions were going to form an alliance, an unfair one. Cheap he thought, he hoped that they each would find their own and leave it at that but somehow he doubted it. If people were forming groups he didn't want to be the only one on his own, then he wouldn't have any kind of chance. So he looked amoung them for someone he could pair up with.
Scolopendra:
Edward took one glance at the ridiculous looking individual that had carelessly came up to them, then returned his gaze to the woman.
Had this been any other situation, he would have punished the creature for thinking he could speak on similar terms with a Time Lord.
He turned with a smile.
"I think we're fine."
"We can do this ourselves."
"And just for the record."
"I would advise you to not whisper when speaking to me. I dont intend to stick around for much longer."

Yandela had been reaching for the human-esqu figure's hand (though his aura completely warned her off) when the other figure had approached, offering an alliance. She steadily watched the two exchange testosterone-filled words before curtly shaking her head, backing away. "I don't know either of you, and last time someone with an eyepatch approached me with an alliance I ended up a slave." She gives a sarcastic, two finger salute, face blank. "Ciao."
He waved off the man's harsh words.
"Ah, don't sweat the small details. We need each other, and judging by your irregular heartbeat, you aren't really in tip top condition to refuse a demand. Or maybe it's because you really aren't truly a human? Then in that case we are similar in a way."
His sword began secreting a green liquid in anticipation.
"But if you really want to refuse, perhaps I can demonstrate my resourceful abilities to you?"

Scolopendra:
"Oh i'd be more than happy to see you aim that sword of yours at me."
Edward thought it was pathetic, all humans did were fight, argue and destroy.
This man was no different.
"You scared the young lady away."
"Is that what the eye patch is for?"
"I hate to be the one to tell you this but you look absolutely ridiculous. It's pretty simple to see why you've got that big scar across your face."
Edward stood upright and stared him in the eye.
"You're careless."
"Carelessness only leads to failure."
"I'd suggest you don't show your face in front of me again."
"Human."

"I find it strange you still try to make me believe that you have the upper hand. Your bluff maybe would work on other humans, but you obviously have no idea the capabilities of someone who has seen too much. Or maybe you have?"
Scolopendra could tell that much. The man(?)'s eyes told him of the horrors that have been commited against him. He also had the eyes of a monster with no qualms for killing. It was like looking through a mirror.
"Unfortunately, if this woman wished to be so cruel as to judge a book by its cover, then it must be so. I have no ill will to harming either of you, but as the outcasts of society I believe we can develop something meaningful. By the way, our alliance does not mean we help each other from danger, it only means we work together for a common cause. Perhaps a better term to use would be a 'convenient truce'?"

Yandela crosses her arms, watching the exchange. "I didn't merely judge you by your looks, it was simply the only thing I deigned to enlighten you on about my judgement."
No need for everyone to know everything, after all... All hold magic, after all, and magic reeks of intentions.

Edward's eye began to light up in fury. This human was trying to compare himself with a Time Lord?
The rage within him was building up too fast to control.
"I'll make you a deal."
"If you are able to harm me, then i will consider you an ally for this predicament."
As he spoke he could barely hold his anger.
The thoughts of past humans who challenged him to battles rose up again.
He would kill this man.
He stood there with his sword gently by his body. His eye patch tightly on his eye. Worst of all.
His relaxed composure.
The irritation he was causing Edward was far too much to explain.
"Draw."

Maybe it would be better to go it alone after all. Especially if everyone here couldn't talk civilly, for two minutes, before trading death threats. Mars didn't think he should deal with these people, unlike them he had no seemingly super human capabilities. He watched the brewing fight from a safe distance away. The only reason he lingered in that space was because he was curious to see what they could do. If it got serious though, he was leaving. There was no way he would become a causualty. On the bright side, if these two idiots killed each other then he'd have a better chance of getting a shard.
Yandela scoffs and turns away, heading over to one of the less hot headed members of their thrown-together group. She approaches the white haired teen, hoping her awkardness isn't that obvious.
"You seem to be less rash, so I'm Imma stick next to you while they duke it out and the rest of us can figure out what's going on..."
"You seem to be less rash, so I'm Imma stick next to you while they duke it out and the rest of us can figure out what's going on..."
Mars motioned to the space next to where he sat. "Be my guest," he said, smiling. It never hurt to make a good impression especially in this kind of situation, with egos running high and whatnot. His smile turned to a grin when he turned back to watch the two men. "Well ideally, they'll take each other out so we don't have to deal with their egotistical power-plays," he said conversationally.
Yandela obligingly sits beside him, returning his grin with a small smile. "It would be too less worries, I suppose. However... Realistically, that won't happen."
He looked at the man, contemplated his options coolly, then slowly placed his sword into its sheath.
"Injuring a fellow companion in our future travels wouldn't look so healthy on my résumé, you know. I'd rather keep everybody here nice and healthy, else I wouldn't have many friends to work with together. Instead of fighting now, how about we get a head start on everyone else before they wise up and start fighting together. I'll even leave all the decision making to you during our travels together."
He stressed out the word "together" for the added effect of importance, and a hint of mockery. He looked over at the two other humans.
"And it wouldn't hurt for you two to join us, having a bloodthirsty man(?) at my throat constantly during this voyage won't prove healthy for myself."

Mars shrugged "Probably not," he said back. The two didn't seem that foolish to go and kill each other. When the fight simmered down, he sighed a bit disappointedly "Too bad," he grumbled.
At the man's offer he hesitated "I don't know... You both seem rather bloodthirsty to me, and I like my blood where it is, thank you," he called back snidely.
