Edward watched the spectacle. It angered him that she had faced such hostility in her own land and was now being made to break because of this ridiculous individual.
Stepping in front of her to prevent her attacking the emperor he glared at the robotic figure.
" You are a pathetic creation, within this world. Your existence is nothing but a pathetic spec of dust in the grand scheme of things."
"Despite not knowing the young lady for a long while, It's clear that you have caused a spark within her kind soul. She healed me when I was injured." His voice began to rise with the impending anger behind it. "There was no reason for her to do so. In fact some could say she risked her life to heal someone who treated her with nothing but unpleasantries. Yet the fact that you would continue to press this ridiculous matter is something of a major concern."
"You are nothing but a lowly proxy of a pathetic civilisation."
He pushed the Emperor out of the way.
"Mars, Yandela, let's get going."

"Incinerate you?" She laughs. "I've not lashed out at you once. Not everything is in preparation to attack you, emperor. This is a defense, and, if you know anything about magic, is highly reactive to emotions. Yet I have enough control to not lash out without conscious decision. Your people were attempting to hold us at gunpoint without a good reason, and we decided that wasn't working. So we left."
The Emperor simply smiled to himself as he walked off. Moving back to the city which was now completely under his soldiers control. "Have every model upgrade using the enemies tech." He ordered Xianto who nodded. The robots in the city beginning to change again. Becoming more advanced and stronger. "This planet does not matter to us. All that matters is we return to our home."
"Agreed. I will return home where I can die in battle to regain my honour." ianto nodded.

Edward watched the robots retreat then returned his gaze to the duo.
"Why do I feel like he's going to become bigger problem for us?"
"Why do I feel like he's going to become bigger problem for us?"
"Because he probably will," Yandela mutters, focusing on calming the flames around the shield.
"Well he did kinda say that he would be back," Mars intoned. He really didn't understand Xianto's or that Emperor's goals and intentions. So it was best to just not comment on it. He wondered if everyone from their world was as hidebound as they seemed to be.
With a short sigh, the flames extinguished themselves and the shield flickered out. Yandela rubbed her head, still not recovered from the onslaught a few mere hours before. "Cmon. We better keep moving."
The ongoing fighting was dying down, with forces of Daleks temporal shifting away because of the onslaught of the pseudo empire's army of robots. Slowly the noises returned to a queer lull of a city, except there was no citizens left. The place had turned into a ghost town overnight.
"Looks like... It's over."
Scolopendra burns through a pile of broken machinery and rubble with his acid. The ones who held him captive had fled with the last of the forces. Scouring the proximity of the land with his eyes, it was all but deserted.
"With all this commotion, that should have been enough to cement the alliance between the three...Meaning..."
"All is going to plan. Except there will have to be a few changes to make."
He limps away unnoticed.

They had walked quite a distance from the city when Edward turned to face Mars.
"You know, i disappeared earlier to do something. I'll spare you with the details but all you should know is that it worked."
He untied his sword belt which was packed with his dark metallic curved sword.
"In that case, i understood the situation you must be placed in, so I've decided to give you my personal sword.
He handed the weapon over to the young boy.
"I created this sword one hundred years ago after my rite of passage."
"The hilt is embedded with neutron chips and the blade is of temporal creation. This means that depending on the foe you are facing, the sword will adapt to the opponent's skin giving you a fairer chance."
"I call it the Quantum Slicer.
What do you think?"

Yandela couldn't help but snort at the name, but kept quiet otherwise.
Mars was stunned silent at the gesture. A pretty commendable achievement in itself. He was unused to receiving things, especially something like this. So naturally he didn't really know what to do with himself now. It was well timed. Tragically, he seemed to have left his new weapon at the building. "Thanks.." He said shaking himself out of his stupor. He tied the belt at his own waist and unsheathed the sword. He'd never wielded such a thing before, of course. But it wasn't so heavy so that was a plus. He swung it a couple times. What Edward was thinking giving something like this to him, was a mystery. "it's amazing," he answered back in awe. Then he grinned, this was going to be fun.
Mood exponentially lifted, he sheathed the Quantum Slicer, all the while thinking of a better name. He turned back to Edward "Can you get the map out? I want to see how far we have left to go."

"Mmhmm." Edward reached into his inner right pocket and released the mystical map.
He handed it over to Mars.
He handed it over to Mars.
Yandela peers at the map over Mars' arm. "Wait... Didn't that kid say that it wouldn't work until we had the first shard? Do you still have it, Mars?"
"No I already said that the eyepatch-guy, stole it," he said shrugging. Then he thought for a moment and turned to Edward. Really he was the only one who could have it. "He gave it to you then, didn't he? Why didn't you say so?" He asked curiously.
"Forgive me for being busy with arguments against robotic emperors to remember that," she mutters, even as she turns her questioning gaze on Edward.
"Why would he give me the shard?," he began to feel his pockets. "Besides, i'm pretty sure that if someone was to put something as large as a shard in my pocket, i'd know." The palm of his right hand was met with a strange bump.
His expression became blank.
"....he put the shard in my pocket didn't he...."
Edward removed the bright blue shard from his top left pocket and handed it to Mars.

Yandela grinned at Edward. "So the great Time Lord doesn't know everything?"
He ignored their remarks.
"So what's the next step?, other than making a fool out me of course."
"So what's the next step?, other than making a fool out me of course."
"I need some rest... That power show wasn't the best idea when I'm not completely rested..."
