"I'm sure I've already made my opinions on joining with you clear," Yandela states evenly, looking up from her spot on the ground. No use is wasting the energy it would take to stand on this guy.

Edward looked at the people in front of him.
He lets out a laugh.
"Well well, maybe we might have gotten of on the wrong foot."
It was obvious that this situation would not be easy.
The best approach was to take things lightly, no point making enemies from the start.
"The name is Edward Hudacious" he said while reaching out for a handshake.
"I'm the last of the Time Lords."
"And yes i said 'Time' ."
"What's say we pack this situation up and head in search for those shards?"

He smiled warmly this time.

"I wouldn't have it any other way. Let's bounce."

He swivels around and walks away, motioning the Time Lord to follow suit. Thus marked the beginning of this duo's quest.

Mars watched the would-be rivals traipse off into the forest. Like they were Toto and Dorothy, he scoffed slightly at the image and stood. "And there they go, Well I suppose there's nothing left for me here, now is there?" He said stretching his back. "Welp, I'm gonna shove off too, See ya," he said waiving to the purple-haired girl. Before he left though he glanced back over his shoulder. "Unless you want to come with?" He offered, not really expecting a positive answer. What with the way she refused the other man earlier.

Yandela grins, pushing to her feet. "Why not? You seem fairly responsible and not-dying-to-kill unlike some people we've seen."

Xianto listened to the boy then decided to ignore him. Maybe he would listen to the request later but for now the Rethait Empire had been given another chance. Good enough for him, so for the moment he ignored the others and their arguing. Not really caring about then while he used his steam fired suit to continue cutting down nearby trees, felling them one after another then stacking them in neat and orderly piles. If another person talked to him he would listen but he felt he would rather gather resources at the moment.

Scolopendra:
Edward chuckled to himself.
He used the word 'bounce'.
This was going to be interesting.
"Well then i'd guess that we'd need some sort of accommodation."
He brought out his sonic screwdriver.
"Wow. Absolutely no readings."
"Just where exactly are we?"
"I'm afraid when it come's to primal situations such as these, i'm not going to be of much aid."
"Any ideas what we can do for accommodation?."

He smiled. The Time Lord fellow had no idea he picked him specifically to be a partner. For what the man(no more question mark due to popular demand) lacked Scolopendra was sure to make up in, and vice versa. The girl would have been a nice added bonus, but beggars can't be choosers, eh?

"Leave accommodations to me. For now, let's see if this world has any cities of any sort. I operate best in urban areas."

"I should note right now, that my first priority is getting back my ship. Every thing else is secondary."
"That being said, you are a human after all. Having you die on me would not be quite a good thing."

He looked at the sheathed sword.

"However, i doubt it would be easy for a man of your caliber to be taken out easily."
"Seeing as we're going to be journeying together, mind telling me your story?."

His smile dropped and his back stiffened.

"Look. My story isn't really that interesting. Nor is it anything that you should care about. Actually it may only serve to satisfy you. You we like that kind of sadistic man who enjoys seeing the suffering of others caused by their own kind. Or do I presume wrong? Usually my intuition never lies. Regardless, there is no point in me giving my sob story to you."

"I've been alive for three hundred years."
"A hundred of those years were dedicated to helping people"
"The other two hundred was purely spent on blowing up galaxies, watching people die. Slaughtering civilisations, bringing people to the brink of destruction."
"Not once did i enjoy it."
"I did what had to be done."
"Despite what will happen here, once my ship is returned to me, i'll do the exact same thing to this planet."
"Now you can continue being stubborn, or you can just tell me. We've got a long way to go anyway."
"I'll ask again."
"Where are you from?"

"...I came from Gelum. It is a land of perpetual ice. But the people have seen better days before the permafrost."

He switches the subject.

"And you're 300 years old? You certainly look a lot younger than you look."

"Excellent, I was hoping you'd think so," Mars was happily surprised by her answer and he stopped to let her catch up. "Um.. So I have no idea where we are, and I'm assuming you don't either. You have any idea how we should get out of this forest. If I tried to navigate us through it we'd probably end up worse off." He sighed scratching his head awkwardly.

"I'll take that as a compliment."
"Believe it or not i have a way with the ladies."

He turns with a smile

"Before you interrupted my discussion with the young lady, i was going to ask her to accompany me."
"The poor girl couldn't resist my charms, she was clearly seduced."

Scolopendra hacked and coughed for a good ten seconds, increasing in volume each time he coughed to call out his bull****.

"Aren't you quite the player."

He smirked again.

"You are one smooth mother****er."

Edward laughed

"All those rumors of me being called 'The Lonely God' are false"
"I'm hardly ever alone, if you know what i mean."
"Who do you think washes my clothes?"
"The women of the 13th century England have thing for men with long dark hair."

"So you have an intense hatred for humans as a species but have a thing for woman of our kind?"

He wondered what had caused the change to make him want to wipe off humans from the face of the universe. Good thing he presumably lived in a parallel universe, else his world would have been gone by now because of this megalomaniac.

Yandela scoops up a fairly straight stick. "The best I can do in unfamiliar terrain is charm this to point a certain direction, like a compass."

She sneezes. Someone's talking about me...

"You're still not quite there."
"I hate humans."
"There is absolutely no exception."
"Using human females as whatever i please does not count as 'having a thing for them'."

Mars looked curiously at the stick. "Okay sounds good, I guess," he said and shrugged he really had no idea what she was talking about but as long as it worked then that's all that mattered. "Bless you." He added
