With a cup of tea in his hands, Edward walked through the corridors to the console room. Slowly making his way up to the console, he sat on the chair, taking a large sip from his tea and placed the cup on a part of the console.
He decided the console room would be a better environment to work in rather than the stuffy silenced library room.
Pulling the monitor towards him, he began to search for strange things within the world. Nothing had shown up so far.
After several attempts of useless searching, he gave up.
Turning to his right he could see his diary on the top bookshelf. The thought of picking it up and reading it was quickly shut down by the fact that it contained pictures of his past life.
His past life.
He picked up the Time Lord database book and began to run through it once more with his pen.

When Yandela eventually woke once again, she was surprised to actually feel well rested. Her magic practically bubbled out of her fingertips, which she put to work by conjuring some robes for the day.
When she emerged from the guest room, looking the way it did when she entered, she called for VI to please show her to the console room.

V.I appeared almost instantly.
'This way please.'
She directly Yandela to the main console room then quickly evaporated back into the Tardis.

"Hey," she greets Edward quietly, unwilling to break the serenity of morning. Yandela leans against the control board across from him, careful not to press any buttons.
The Time Lord, stupidly forgetting he had his reading glasses on tilted his head to the right past the console middle tube to see Yandela so gracefully in his console room.
"Hey.."
He quickly packs up the sheets of papers he was writing on so she could have more space.
"Sorry about the mess, i was...err,...reading.."

"It's fine." She curiously picks up one of the papers. Circles meet her gaze. "I've never seen this language before... What is it?"
"It's Gallifreyan. The language of the Time Lords.
The paper in your hand is nothing more than a list of planets."
He rose up.
"Did you sleep well?, my room was locked off so i wasn't able to come and check on you both this morning."

"Yeah, of course," she lied easily, eyes glued to the paper. Yeah, she could see the patterns of language now... "Like a baby."
He laughed.
"You do know you're a bad liar right?"
He walked up behind her and looked at the paper.
"Each letter is the correspondent to the little indents on the circles.
do you see?"

do you see?"
"Only because you found me in the hall," she mumbles, her fingers tracing one of the circular figures. "So if this symbol is repeated here and here... The frequency would suggest it's a common word such as "and" or "the" or something... Right?"
She was probably totally wrong. She often was. Then again, that was a part of learning.

He grinned. "Err, no. That's the lyrics to one of my favorite songs....."
"But hey!, at least you knew it was a word."
"But hey!, at least you knew it was a word."
Yandela frowns, tilting her head to study the document from another angle. "Do you sing, then?"
Edward rose up once more. "You ask too many questions." He walked down the stairs towards his console room fridge.
"Would you care for something to eat?, I've got some instant tea and a couple of apple tarts?"
"Would you care for something to eat?, I've got some instant tea and a couple of apple tarts?"
"No such thing," Yandela mutters, setting the page down. Edward's blatant act of brushing off her question stung. He obviously didn't want to answer the more personal question, but he didn't have to be so brusque about it. "Whatever you have. I'll eat almost anything."
He placed the instant tea within a large mug and brought out a large apple tart.
The tea began to spread around the orange cup as small doses of hot water were poured into it.
Carefully trailing up the stairs. He carried the mug in one hand and the apple tart in the other.
"Sorry about the lack of items. I don't usually prepare the Tardis to feed others."
He handed the items over to her and walked back to his chair.
Putting back on his glasses, he began to write some more algorithms on the paper.

"..." Yandela quietly consumes her breakfast, unsure what to do but disturbed by the sudden silence.
So much for having a moment... She just screws up everything...

Edward was lost in thought while writing on the papers.
If those robots where here, and they somehow had a connection to the Daleks.
How was it possible for them to travel to this location in the first place?,
The sound of Yandela sipping her tea brought him back to the world of Aelore.
He looked up at the girl and could sense a slight bit of discomfort in her eyes.
It was clear she still wasn't accustomed to him yet, and who could blamed her. He had forcefully embraced her the day before.
Deep down, she probably despised him for that.
He sighed.
"Sorry Yandela, give me a few more seconds and i'll be out of here.
I plan to go searching for robot parts, so you won't have to look at my horrendous appearance for much longer."
He began packing up his papers.

She frowns. "What are you talking about? Where did you get the idea that I don't want you around me?"
He continued packing up his papers but then dropped the bag on the floor spilling the contents of the notebooks.
Edward broke into an outburst.
"Look. I know i shouldn't have embraced you. Truth is, i didn't know how to solve the situation.
Not once have i ever held another individual in my arms before. However, seeing you with tears in your eyes almost broke me.
In all my years alive. I have been used to solving problems either with my intelligence or raw power.
When you were behaving in that way, i had no idea what to do.
It was beyond me.
Yet somehow my natural instincts were to place my arms around you.
YES, i know it was wrong and you can continue to despise me for that but you should know that my intentions were only for the good."
He took a deep breath then knelt down to pick up his papers.
"I'm sorry. Forget everything i just said."
Edward broke into an outburst.

"Dumbass," she growls, kneeling beside Edward and collecting some papers. She rolls them up and whacks him lightly in the shoulder. "When did I ever say I hated you or it? Or even disliked it? I was surprised, yes, but that was it."
