The place was empty. It was nothing but a barren farmland.
The Tardis marked this location for Scolopendra and it was never wrong.
Maybe...?
No he couldn't have.
The thought of Scolopendra finding the tracking device and removing it occurred to him but he highly doubted the fact.
Edward looked around.
This would actually be the perfect time for him to use his horse.
He quickly ran back up to the Tardis and released his 1600s black mare.
It was dubbed 'The Dark Strider.'
Leading it out with it's lead and packing a couple of water bottles inside the main satchel,
He mounted the creature.
"Come on boy. We need to go exploring!"
The horse neighed in agreement
"Why can't V.I be like you?"
He took hold of the reigns.
"What is it those humans say?....
Giddy up?...."
He snickered.
"Just move."
The beast began to stride forward then quickly breaking off into a full run.

The blow to the back of her head interrupted her reminiscing. Yandela cried out, one hand flying to her head and the other charging instinctively with power. Fire flamed up from her left and her head snapped around to counter the charge, which left her open to the goon creeping up behind with the slaves collar, inhibitor stone gleaming brightly. Dizziness rushed upon her as the collar clamped down around her neck and she stumbled, immediately ceasing her magic flow.
Yandela collapsed against the ground, focused on breathing normally. A grinning, malicious, face filled her vision, one eyepatch strapped over his eye.
"Welcome home, Yandela."

He had ridden far past the barren farm lands. A local woman was kind enough to give him a bag of apples for his journey.
What a nice young woman. Although, she had gazed at him with lustful eyes and promised that he returned after the journey to see her 'special' gift.
He burst into laughter at the thought.
It was becoming nightfall.
"Should i set up camp here or move further into the area?"
He could see that there was a small village a couple miles down the road but he had bothered far too many villagers for one day.
With reluctance, he dismounted his horse and began to set up his camp under a large tree.

She was dragged to one of the ramshackle buildings in the center of the village, hauled inside, and bound securely. Each and every one of her chains had magic inhibiting stones embedded into them, and Yandela had learned long ago not to fight them, since it transferred her expelled power to Fayall, her "master".
She leaned weakly into her bonds, refusing to acklowledge the jeers of her captors. Her eyelids dropped and her muscles were completely lax with the spirit of one who had given up.

The Time Lord sat with his back against the tree.
The sky was dark, the night silent.
He looked at the many stars.
It's funny.
He could literally go to any of those stars if he so wished it.
Life wasn't so simple for others.
The cold weather decided to strike him hard.
"Gah, I should have brought a scarf."
Edward looked at his horse which seemed to be struggling with the weather despite its usual acceptance of any climate.
He sighed, "Fine, we'll go inside the village.
Only for the night though, then we move to find Scolopendra."
Packing up his items and placing them inside the satchel, he mounted the beast and began slowly making his way to the village.

His face showed all but indifference, save for a slight downcast expression in his eyes.
"They don't need me. When they do need to use me, they will come to me instead. For now, I see no benefits in toying with their relationships. It is already unstable enpugh as is. In fact as we speak Edward comes here to distract himself from Yandela. But he can't find me since,"
Scolopendra gestured around him. They were underground, and he was in the midst of clearing another later of rock with his acid. The magnetic waves coming from the center of the earth was what made the calculations of the TARDIS be off.
"I am underground and should be hidden from outside interaction. But anyhow,"
He looked at the kid, his expression becoming perplexed.
"...An army? I have but no need for that. However, I will help get rid of these imbeciles if you would give me a shard."
Scolopendra had been thinking of how to get rid of this ever evolving behemoth of an Empire, this would just be an added bonus.

Mars had walked on for awhile now, he guessed that he was far into the village, though it was kind of hard to tell. Everything looked the same to him. The shard must be here somewhere He followed the compass' direction all the way to a broken down looking building, house? Why was everything in the place so hard to distinguish? He didn't enter though, it sounded like there were people inside of it. And as stated several times before the indigenous here weren't very friendly. He waved around the structure until he saw a small hole in the tear-down. Curiously, he knelt down and peeked inside of it.
Yandela weakly lifts her head when a familiar aura clashes against hers. Edward...
She gathers her energies, determined to bypass the collar for a single split second, even if Fayall would see the surge in power. Reaching out with her magic, she lashes out towards Edward's consciousness.
Please! Help!

The sudden surge would definitely be more than enough to catch Scolopendra, his ears twitching slightly at the magical interference. Whereas he could block out the Time Lord with the power of science, his affinity with magic fried his eardrums, sending him recoiling.
"Looks like this mini quest will have to wait. I may be able to get something useful from saving this 'DiD" so to say."
He chuckles at his inside joke that nobody understands, and goes to see how he can assist them from the shadows.

While riding into the village, Edward was lost far within his thoughts.
Just what exactly would he do once this journey was over and he was able to return to his own universe?.
He definitely wouldn't go back to killing innocent individuals, but then the thought of being lonely stuck itself at the back of his mind.
He'd have no one.
Perhaps he could actually undertake one of his own personal projects and create a planet of his own?, become a God himself?.
He dismounted the horse and was immediately forced back as a powerful telepathic wave hit him hard.
Was this an attack of some sorts?
The Time Lord placed both hands on his head and tensed every muscle to successfully block out the attack.
He staggered around his horse as he tried to get his bearings.
The attack came again. This time it was followed with a voice.
Edward froze and the blood was quickly drained from his face.
The telepathy wasn't a form of attack.
It was a plea of help.
From Yandela.
In an instant he began to look around. Her magic was strong, but she'd have to be close by in order to connect with him.
To his left, he spotted a large tavern-type building.
Pushing both doors down with extreme force, a dirty room with disgusting tables and spilled ale over the floor was revealed along with several individuals seated there.
They stared at him with curious yet cautious eyes.
Edward Hudacious had arrived.

Edward Hudacious had arrived.
Down below the rumbling of ground was often accompanied by a grunt of a man, followed by the sound of a body slumping over. Scolopendra had cleared out all those guarding her unnoticed via a sneak attack from underground, using his senses to burn holes underneath the guards and drag them underground to their doom. It was easy and he had made quick work of them. He searches the pockets of each guard meticulously, but to no avail. The key must be with one of the aggressors above. He sighed. If Scolopendra wanted to keep with the RPG jokes he would by nature have to complete the quest by beating the "final boss" upstairs.
But honestly he wasn't going to do that just for the sake of it. He had pride, but he wasn't going to waste it on something like this.
"Stand back, princess."
Scolopendra spit into his hands and rubbed the bars, causing it to melt and erode away. He then pointed to one of the many holes that dug into the ground.
"Pick whichever one you want to go in. Oh, but mind the bodies. We wouldn't want you squelching on any flesh, now would we? I'll follow up behind, so just look forward until you see a light."

"..." Yandela silently leans into her bonds. The chain around her neck, connecting her solidly to the wall, pulls tight. "A little tied up at the moment."
He put his hand to his chin, feigning admiration.
"Not a bad sight to see if I do say so myself. No wonder he picked you out of the entire female population. However..."
He spit on the chain links, dissolving it.
"I am not into this sort of play. Imprisonment and bondage ain't my sort of play."
He smirked saucily at her.
"Now scram, princess. Don't look back lest you want a more tragic end than Orpheus. Actually scratch that. This love story is even worse than that. This is borderline Twilight sort of sappiness we are on right now."

"Oh shut UP will you?" Yandela snarls, eyes hooded. "Do not make jokes like that about this situation."
She turns on her heel and, after a little hesitation, drops into one of the holes. Her hands tug at the collar.
He dissolved the links... But the inhibitors... Damn.

It was a bit of a spectaclek seeing all those people pulled underground. He didn't really care about those people, they'd been up to no good. A tied up Yan attested to that. He entered the building when he saw Yandela duck into the ground. "Hey eyepatch guy! Come to pickpocket your way to another shard?" He greeted cheerfully.
Yandela froze when she herd Mars' voice, then raced back to the beginning of the tunnel to greet him- and warn him. "Mars! Mars you need to get out of here before they get ahold of you!"
The tavern was now painted in blood.
The men inside had known exactly what was going on, yet somehow found the ordeal of kidnapping the girl to be something out of a comedy.
Not a single person was spared.
From what he had learned, Yandela was absolutely terrified of her captors.
Tears began to fall from the eyes of the space God.
He had promised her that she'd be safe from that situation and that as long as he lived, she'd never be taken into slavery again.
While he stood amidst the bloody tavern with each individual lying dead on the floor, the barkeeper who himself was a slaver snuck into the room with a large kitchen knife in an attempt to end the grieving space God.
As he was directly behind Edward, he lifted his arms in a powerful motion with plans to end him in one slice.
The sword was caught directly in the palm of the Time Lord.
He turned around looking directly into the man's eyes as blood poured out from the knifes bite.
With incredible force, Edward knocked the knife away forcing the man to quickly revert to hand to hand combat.
Easily he stopped the slaver's feeble punches by countering with a direct hit to the abdomen. After keeling over in pain, the man rose again putting every last drop of energy into one punch.
Edward, in his anger, trapped the man's arm between his right side and right arm.
He threw a direct hit to the forehead and easily flipped him over to the floor.
'Enough!, she's still alive.'
The man started to laugh
'Thing is though, if you kill me, she'll never be found. A special young girl like her,
Think of all we're going to do when we get her back to our wor-'
He was quickly silenced by the Victorian style boots forcefully placed over his mouth.
The Time Lord looked beneath him at the disgusting creature.
This was why he hated humans.
A direct powerful blow was given to the man on the floor, followed by many more.
Once it had been completed he pushed open the doors of the Tavern with tears frantically rolling down his eyes. Continuously calling out her name.
He made his way down the tunnel the men had repeatedly joked about, with the premeditated decision that she was already dead.
This was his fault.

The boy just floated above the ruined village, staring in disbelief. "T-this... How?! What is THIS?!" That's when he noticed a small, golden flicker. It went quickly and usually be rendered unnoticeable, but he did. The colouring and brightness brought the realisation down hard on him.
It was one of the Others.
How it had gotten into Aelore, he had no clue, but this only meant one thing: They were tampering with his world. Did they create both this awful place and bring those horrible machines? Did they know about his plan to gain revenge on them? The soul shards, oh, the soul shards... How he longed for them. The one items he could not obtain for himself... But the one items that he needed...

Looks like she found help, he mused to himself. If he had seen another shard, he would not have taken it. It would be easier to keep them all in one place. Looks like it was his turn to tag out. Scolopendra swiftly hopped into one of the holes, and quickly disappeared they could not find him.
Now that he has taken care of Edward's little catalyst, he needed to set his mind on destroying the robots.

The thud thud of boots resounding through the tunnel tore her attention away from Mars. Fayall himself was matching down the tunnel, fury etched permanently onto his face. Yandela sank away from the opening where Mars was, hoping Fayall would be too focused on her to go after Mars. Yandela tore down the tunnel, her heart pounding in her chest.
Without my magic available to me... I'm useless against him...
