Yandela watches Edward sadly as he spouts off his denials, shifting awkwardly.

"Right. I suppose you just hit another one of your bloodthirsty moods..."

He nodded, "You know me well Yandela."
Underneath the counter was a small black metal box.
Edward grinned,
"Sweetheart come take a look at this.
I mean Yandela."
"The box had the words "Fayall" carved into it, though it was in some strange letters that Edward had never seen before.

Yandela sends a small glare t Edward for the nickname, but follows his lead behind the counter. She unhooks the box from the counter.

Mars, hopscotched his way around all the fallen over to the bar where the others stood. He walked around the bar to the other side, more room you know, and watched Yandela handle the box she held.

Yandela fiddled with the box for a moment, trying to undo the lock, before giving up and simply shattering it with magic.

A shard tumbled out into her hands.

Edward looked at the shard that was safe in her hands.
"Well would you look at that.
Now we have two."
He examined the room once more.
"Despite my death, I'd say that you suffered the most out of this ordeal, it's only fair that you keep that shard."
The Time Lord motioned for them to follow him outside.
He introduced the duo to the bewildered horse.
" This is my horse, black bess, dark strider, shadowmare or whatever people call him now a days."
He began to pet the mare.
"I know I said I'd never let you out of my sight again Yandela but we both know that I am in no shape for riding.
I'd simply fall off a cause more serious issues.
You and Mars can take the horse and ride to the next town which I'm sure is only a two or three day ride away from here."
He held up the brave face as he lied about his predicament.
"Don't worry about me. Seriously. There's a farm not too far down from here where the lady was nice enough to show me some hospitality. Though she was quite strange, she begged me to return."
He placed his hands in his pockets and made a turn for the road.

That's when he appeared in front of the trio. "So, found the Second Soul Shard, 'ey? Have yah?! Ah, who cares! Look, do me a favour? Ever see a strange creature of sorts made pretty much outta light or whatever, tell me right away, will yah?"

The will ya's and have ya's were starting to wear down Scolopendra. Turning off the tap placed on the first shard, he continues to dig more holes, with more and more holes beginning to take form in an intricate maze. Scolopendra however needed to take a break from this, for he was wearing down and he was hungry.

"Now that I think about it...Where the hell do people get food?"

"Um... Sure," Yandela promises their "god", then turns to Edward. "And you're getting on this horse. Mars can make sure you stay on, and I'll walk beside."

"You simply cannot be serious." Edward said as he answered Yandela's suggestion.
He had been humiliated enough for one day but to be told to ride on a horse, with a teenager holding on to him making sure he didn't fall and a girl walking beside the horse leading it's direction.
This was simply too much for his pride to handle.
"I told you Yandela, i'll be fine."
He turned towards the roads once more and began to get moving.

"...fine."

Yandela turns away, trying to calm herself so the horse doesn't shy away. She gently rubs the mare's neck to soothe herself.

"I don't give a damn anyways. I mean, you only just died, no reason for alarm, right?"

He muttered under his breath.
"And yet i get not even a single thank you."
He scoffs and walks off into the distance.

Yandela presses her cheek against the mare's, running her fingers through the black mane. "...and people wonder why I consider promises to be nothin but empty words..."

She slowly pulls away and begins rubbing down the mare, preparing to hop on and ride.

Edward followed the road down to the farm lands.
For some reason, anger was rising up within him.
He kicked a fallen tree branch with such force that it broke in half.
"Pathetic."
The Time Lord made his way to the farm.

Yandela glances at Mars, then to the distance where Edward vanished. She swung herself up on the midnight mare, deliberating the possible courses of action.

He walked forward with one leg lower than the other.
The best decision would have been to go with Yandela and get back to the Tardis so he could heal himself but right now he needed to be alone.
To be with someone who cared about him.
Anyone would suffice.

These two were such a handful. Why did Mars feel like a mother with two toddlers. He hopped on the horse behind Yandela.

She shot Mars a small smile before nickering to the horse, chasing after the Time Lord.

"Edward!"

Edward stopped as the familiar voice called after him.
"For the love of god.
What is it they want now?"
The Time Lord turned in the direction that they were coming from with nothing but a blank expression.
He wanted to be alone.

Yandela brings the horse to a stop beside him, patting the mare's neck to calm her. She looks down at Edward, her eyes meeting his. "Please. Don't do this to yourself. I can make us light enough to where it won't hurt your horse to carry us all... I just... Edward, you were dead. I can't... I don't think I... If you..."
