"Sure, sure, Mr. All Powerful with a blinking flashlight."
He gestured to the Sonic Screwdriver. (On yeah Daleks still were the time lords enemy though)
They come across a clearing to a meadows. In a distance beyond the meadows there was a city with a giant plume of smoke pollution rising from the smokestacks of the city. The stark contrast between where the meadows had its fresh air and where the city had its gray smoke was obviously present.
"That city looks oddly familiar to me... And my intuition tells me we can find something of use to us in there."

"Thanks," she mutters, focusing as she envelops the stick in an orb of magic. Ancient words fall from her lips as she charms the sliver of bark. Yandela steps away, grinning as the stick remains hovering. "Good. When I first got here I was worried that the natural magic of this place would interfere with my own... I'm glad to learn that's not happening."
"Hey, it's a GLOWING flashlight!, correct your term!"
He noticed the city.
"Hmm, i suppose you're right."
He looked towards the sky.
"There's obviously a perception filter blocking my ship from homing in on me."
"If i had access to the right equipment, i could possibly close it for a few moments."
"And once that's done, you can return to Golem or whatever the hell your planet is called."

"I don't plan on going home. I need those shards. I need that wish. You have no idea what a desperate man would do in order to get what he wants. Once I get those shards
..."
He trails off in thought.
"Anyhow, let's get to the city. Maybe we will get lucky and find the shard itself, yeah?"

"You really believe that a kid would give you a wish for anything you wanted?."
"Rule one of space travel, never believe anything an individual with more power than you states."
As they walked towards the city, Edward looked at the man.
The urge to kill him had disappeared. They were very similar.

Was it really possible to feel both amazed and unsettled? Apparently so, as that's exactly what Mars was at the moment. Sure he'd seen some snippets of glowing stuff when those guys were about to fight, but that could've been a trick of the light or something. This now in front of him, was very real. Granted he was impressed by it, very much so. But it made him realize that he was seemingly the only one around without some supernatural affinity, and that rubbed him the wrong way. He refused to be some dependent burden whenever things undoubtedly got hairy. "Impressive," he marveled. "Shall we then?"
He shook his head gravely.
"If I can't believe in that measly bit of hope there isn't much else for me to believe in. I need to believe, or else I don't think I can survive any longer..."

Once Xianto had gone through a fair bit of the forest he used whatever wood he wanted to fuel himself while storing the rest, otherwise he mined continuously, occasionally cutting down a few more trees. Slowly by himself devastating the peaceful forest. After a long while he began smelting ores and creating machine parts.
"Bah, don't turn all miserable on me."
"When i destroy this world, i want you to be there to see it."
The threat was becoming less and less serious. So much so that Edward himself was starting to doubt the possibility of actually choosing to destroy the planet.
He changed the subject
"Say, did you notice that the young woman we met earlier had quite a few scars?"
He looked at the obvious scars on Scolopendra
"You two would make a cute little scarred couple."
"With enough time, you could end up making a few scarred babies too."
Edward burst into laughter

Yandela smiles, prodding the stick to make it big in front of them. "Sure. But, ah..." She tilts her head as she analyzes the makeshift compass. "It's a low level spell, but even those can get draining if held for so long. But we should be able to make it until sunset at the least, in which case it would probably be better to stop and rest for the night anyways..."
Xianto finished the first of whatever he was creating, it looked like a clockwork robot only fueled and powered by steam. It had equipment for drilling and digging attached to it and set out to do just that drilling out more ores for xianto to turn into more steam powered robots
Mars nodded, simply taking the girl's word for it. "That's fine, as long as we get to where we're going, then it's cool." He said shrugging nonchalantly. "So which way?" He asked, eyeing the "compass". His attention caught by a small robot just casually sauntering by like it owned the place. Oh good lords now what? He thought exasperatedly. He looked around and saw what must've been the owner of the automaton. "I don't think you should just be cutting down trees in an unknown forest, friend," he called to the armored man.
He waved off the banter.
"Im not able to create babies, much less scarred babies due to alterations of my reproductive system. But it would be a nice sentiment. Oh look we are here already."
He stopped in front of the division between the meadow and the city. The ground looked like someone had crudely stitches together these different lands like a quilt. There was no doubt about it.
"This place is just like Civitas."

(Now I've gotta edit mine. 😑)
"Well, that's north," she follows where the compass points behind them with her finger. "And the way in front of us is south."
She blinks. "I don't know your-"
She's cut off by an android or something another and her traveling (not that they've done any so far)companion yelling amiably at the steampunk-ish lumberjack. "Wha...?"

"You just keep getting less and less fun."
"Instead of standing here and saying that this place looks like tooth cavities we could actually go inside."
"Get it?, you said 'Civitas', and i said 'Tooth Cavities'"
"It's funny?...."
"No?..."
There was a moment of awkward silence
"Right, lets get moving."

He cracked a lame smile. Scolopendra absolutely loved horridly bad jokes.
"Well anyhow, if this place is exactly how I remember it from my memory...I should be able to contact my boss...here."
They stop in front of a blue telephone booth.

Xianto looked over at the group."there has been no one yet telling me I cannot cut down this forest. I shall continue to do so until someone does and continue to create the robots." As he said that he finished a second one which cranked off after the first which was now digging away at the land near the other group.
He examined the blue telephone box.
"This looks exactly like my father's Tardis."
"Wait, i keep forgetting, you have no idea what that is."
"Let's keep moving."
"It's getting dark, i'd suggest finding a place to rest, besides, i need to think."

"Sure."
He checks out into a cheap skanky hotel located deeper in the city.
"Get some rest, I'm going to go do some recon. I operate best in the night. See you tomorrow."
Scolopendra jumped out the window.

Mars' eyes narrowed at the man's logic. "Yeah, well who's to tell you? The squirrels and birds, that once lived in that tree?" He asked and turned to a nearby bird "Hey bird! Can we level this forest?" He asked. Of course it didn't reply "Plus I doubt the inhabitants of this place will like you not only squatting in, but also abusing their land." He said walking closer to the man's set-up."think of it like this: no one's implicitly told me that I can't punch someone's grandmother, but that doesn't mean I can. You catching what I'm throwin'?" He asked tilting his head.
