Down on the Planet deep under the surface was Xianto, he had continued building machines and now watched as they continued to spread, consuming and evolving all the while. Inside him he still carried the gem that the other robots had been protecting, knowing it was important otherwise it wouldn't be protected but not understanding its importance. There he waited biding his time, trying to work out a way off this damn rock and back to his world.

And while everyone was dreaming horribly awful things, there was Yandela, who was too freaking tired to dream thank goodness.

The boy laid there, wondering about all that had happened. "Oh that, yeah, that was my fault..."

Geez, couldn't you be more apologetic..?

"Don't you ever feel that you just want everyone to just go and die?
"No, not really... The world would be boring then, right?... Like, who else would there be to entertain us?"
...Heh... Yeah, you're right..."
"...Rae, is something wrong..? You seem less... I don't know, but you've been acting strange lately..."
"..."
"Rae..? Hey, are you okay? Rae?! Rae!?"
"...Yeah, I'm fine, just blanked out...



Heh, those were the days, huh..?

The night had passed and the morning was now here.
After having his usual morning shower, Ed walked through the console corridors with a cup of tea in one hand and a slice of toast coated in marmalade.
He had also turned on his favourite classical music and made it play through the specific rooms and corridors to avoid waking up anyone else.

Eventually he reached the workshop and continued building his new V.I

The last piece of algorithim was implemented into the V.I.
The main problem that always occurred when creating new virtual intelligence avatars was the fact that each creation could not have complete knowledge on every topic.
For example, a V.I may be able to learn the complete mathematical database along with quantum physics and science but they would never be able to understand basic human concepts such as hunger and sleep.
Edward had made this new V.I specific to human understanding as well as built in detectors to help with finding the shards.
She was also much more attractive than her predecessor, had this been earth, she'd have been mistaken for a professional model.
Once the safety release was taken off, she awoke.

"Well, say something?"

The V.I stared in silence.

'The closest shard is approximately six thousand four hundred and thirty two miles from here.
Local vicinity.'

"Well a simple 'hello' could have done you fine, but as long as you do your job, who am I to complain.
I'll call you Diana.

The boy had awoken and left the girl's room, being quite the early bird. Finding himself in the same room as Edward, he grinned. "Making yourself a girlfriend, are you? Is Yan too hard to get? Or are you going by Pokemon logic and have to 'catch them all'?"

Edward didn't spare him a glance.
"I don't choose the faces of my V.I's,
The Tardis connects their personality with the faces of friends I had in the past."
Diana glanced at Mitsuki,
"I should also mention that she is a combat interface.
You are her number one threat.
It'd be wise to keep clear from her."
He then laughed,

"Are you that desperate for Yandela's attention that you keep attacking my every motive in order to look better in her eyes?"

Mars thought the two had been equally at each other's throats. Somehow he'd just ended up standing there, probably because he'd ventured outside for a little in his haze and the cold brought him back to himself a bit more. He wasn't 100% but neither was he the zombie he'd been before.

He wasn't eavesdropping as that would require intent or curiosity. It was more like being exposed to subliminal messages.

"Hey, guys," He probably wasn't as level as he first thought because when he did venture into the room with the two inside that was all he said.

"Are you two at it, again?" Yandela mutters as she stumbles into the console room, rubbing her eyes.

Both Diana and Edward stood up at the same time.
She walked towards the weapon cabinet and picked up the sword Edward made for her.
"Morning you two.
In case you didn't realise, that is my new V.I.
And yes, she isn't just a hologram this time.
We're about to go searching for the nearest shard.
If my assumption is correct then it should be within the presence of that robot-building guy.
Who knows how many robots he has built since we last met him."

Diana stood at the door with her arms folded waiting for the Time lord.

Yandela glares at the VI, her hands clenching to hide the electrical spark trying to escape her palms. She snapped her fingers, easily transfiguring her clothes into her mage's robes. "Wait. So that thing's coming with us?"

Edward finished up the last slice of toast and donned his long black coat.
"Well obviously!, not only can she detect shards but she is packed with incredible combat knowledge."
He looked at the creation.
"The only problem is that unlike the old V.I, she doesn't talk much for some reason."

Mars glanced over at the new V.I. "Hi, new Vi. I'm Mars.." He said politely. The old V.I. had been a bit of a jerk on occasion, maybe this would be the same as before. He wasn't sure what motivated him to talk to her.

Then again, he didn't know what motivated him to do anything today. He'd much rather stay in bed all day...but not sleep. "I'd suggested a wise cracking old man for your design. Say an Alfred or maybe even a Tanaka," he added randomly.

Yandela smothered a smile at Mars' antics, turning away from the scene. She frowned at her hands, which crackled with energy.

Jealous of a robot... Cmon, fhat doesn't make any sense...

Mitsuki grinned. "Number one threat, 'ey?... Ha, why would that be? Honestly, I'm not the most powerful Deity that you'll meet, you know. Wait till yah meet Wolf..."

"You keep saying things about other 'deities'.
I see none other than you."

He walked towards Diana who was conversing with Mars.

'I'm Diana.' She said smiling.

Edward picked up a bag and placed it on her back.

"Alright, let's get moving."

He exited the Tardis with his artificial creation by his side.

"...That's because I'm trying my best to keep you away from them, Mr Hud.... But alright, walk out on me..."

"Correction.
You're keeping them away from me."
He said with a brash grin.

"Well, that's pretty much what I meant, yeah?... Anyway, don't trust 'em one bit, 'kay..? If they were to come into contact with you, you'll be Blighted... And that will just eat away at you until there's nothing left, got it? Not only that, they'll try and... Well, you understand."

"Try what?,
Honestly, the more I hear about these guys the more I want to meet them."

"Meeting them is out of the question, got it?!!?! They'll hurt you and all you love until you do what they want you to, and usually it's not always the best thing to do!!" The boy shouted, yellowy/gold fox-like ears appearing from underneath the white mass that is his hair. "Dammit!!!!"
