Scolopendra sighed and motioned Rachel to back off. He didn't know why she was hesitating but obviously she didn't want to touch her for some reason.
"I'll look."
He went over to Yandela and knelt besides her, wearing an expressionless mask of indiffernece.
"Hey there, champ, you doing alright?"
"I'll look."
He went over to Yandela and knelt besides her, wearing an expressionless mask of indiffernece.
"Hey there, champ, you doing alright?"
"Eh." Yandela forces a grin across her face, even if it does look a little more like a pained grimace. She pulls her hands from her head. "I will be. You weren't there when this happened before, in the city, but it's just a sign that I'm using my magic too much, since it's connected to my soul." She briefly considers that maybe telling Patchy all this might be a bad thing, but dismisses the thought. Too tired to consider pros and cons. "Have it happen too many times and sickness accompanies the sleepiness."
Rae just glared at Scolopendra. She didn't like taking 'orders' from anyone, unless by S.I.N., which was more battle plans than anything. Mark my words, Patch, I will make your end slow and painful if you cross me... Maybe I'll even have a little 'fun' with you... You white haired jerk.
He pointed to a spot next to the sleeping god, and with no sensitivity at all, he bluntly stated three words.
"Go to sleep."
It sounded less like friendly advice and more like something you would hear from your drill sergeant that just dropped a bucket of ice on you at 5 in the morning.
"Go to sleep."

Yandela smiles wryly. "I was planning on it, but I'd rather stay up until I know for a fact that I can sleep without either being slaughtered, or having plans made without me, thanks."
Rachel raised an eyebrow. "And this... Slaughtering, business... Who are you referring to that would do that? Him?" She points to Mars.
"Well... Yes." She grins tiredly. "He's a cold-blooded murderer, you know. I once caught him red handed."
"Huh. I'll be sure to keep that in mind..." The girl eyes the boy, but gives another warm smile.
Yandela glances nervously at Mars, realizing this may not be the best person to joke around with about such topics. Her gaze returns to Rachel. "I'm joking."
"...Okay. So who are you referring to then?" She was generally confused. Back on Helden, everything was so serious... Damn, had she lost the ability to realise what's a joke or not?!
The Mage shrugs. "No offense, but I don't trust anyone I've just met. Slaughter might have been an exaggeration, but I've seen people do worse for less than merely sleeping."
Yandela grins. "For what it's worth, though, I'm awfully glas to no longer be the only girl caught up in this."
Yandela grins. "For what it's worth, though, I'm awfully glas to no longer be the only girl caught up in this."
"Heh... I'm just glad I'm not stuck in that hellhole anymore, I guess.. Seriously, living in a world where pretty much anyone can become a blood-thirsty creature out to kill everyone is horrible..."
He had kept silent for most of this. Talking about the wrongness of slaughtering people and destroying lives would have just made him a hypocrite, and also add to the tally of how many sins he has committed.
Yandela smiles wryly. "Tell me about it. And if they don't kill each other, it's only because one has power over the other."
"Haha... Yeah..." Rae sighed and looked over at the young boy sleeping, "it's kill or be killed, I guess..."
(I didn't mean to make a reference to Undertale Be gone, Goat-Jesus-Flower!!)
BECAUSE WE'RE IGNORING FLOWERS BEING IN UNIVERSES THEY SHOULDN'T BE IN, Yandela frowns, recalling her encounter with Fayal. "...yeah. Usually."
"But then... You're up against family and friends, and... Well... I don't enjoy the state of our Reality is in..." The girl continued to look at the young boy, frowning. "...But it's worse when you watch friends hurt family, huh..?"
"...can't say I would know." Yandela lays against the ground, staring up at the sky to hide her darkened gaze. "Any family I ever had died and I killed my only friend."
