Hello! During my hiatus from the RPR in early 2015, I decided to try out some creative writing on some other website, which I turned to because I had always aspired to make a novel out of my own ideas but lacked the confidence to begin (Pretty much how I got into RPing in the first place). It never caught on however, mostly because the ideas I had then simply weren't solid enough and I strongly disliked them, but also because the following I had was very small. The lack of an audience made my insentive to write dwindle until I finally just got fed up, which pretty much led me to coming back here . I've had this starting paragraph for a chapter sitting around. At first I was just going to let it be, but then I realized you could post stories in the Art and Creativity forum (Really!? Wow Haddock you're a genius!). So here it is:

Many long hours had begun to pass as the two beings had waited for the inferno to finally tire, though the ongoing dogfight in the clear sky did not soon relent; the firey orbs that moved through the air had swerved and dodged at an incomprehensible speed, though most would crash back down to the earth as dust in what seemed like seconds. The lives of pilots on both sides, cast away like dying fireflies. Blinding beams of light, akin to ultrabright strobes were traded in the red dusk. Each flash had brought a sudden morning back onto the sands of Ataria. The duo watched in loathsome awe as the terrible beauty of a war zone had shone before their Reptilian eyes. On a 'brighter' side however, the raging fires of the ash hulk had finally given way, as the seceding embers now exposed the destruction the two had been loitering to report upon: A terrible scene of death had now become apparent to the Demons. The shattered remnants of a broken wreckage lay before them, it's once great and sturdy metal had been chewed up into a ball of alloy by the sheer force of the inevitable crash, blackened by the searing flames that had accompanied the deathly descent. The corpses of the enemy lay cold and dead beneath the ruin. Their skin as burnt and dark as coal, and their bodies crushed underneath the weight of the unforgiving boulder they had once called their ship. The airbourne lasers that zapped like lightning from the sky gave a grim sight to the many disfigured and alien faces of death.
