I made my account ages ago but I didn't really participate in any roleplay, as a matter of fact I still haven't fleshed out a proper character or joined any roleplays. This is because I honestly don't know how to roleplay here, I have very specific preferences and I'm not sure how to find something that suits me... So what am I looking for?

• People, discussion, activity! I'm a social person, I don't like sitting in silence until the next post pops up. I came here from a roleplaying game... Site... Thing with a chat window for IC and a chat window for OOC stacked right on top of each other. It's actually really fun because you can comment on the roleplay, break the fourth wall with omit posts (I love making my character comment on their current situation or even on the OOC chat) or clarify a few things and ask questions before making a post. I'd like to have that kind of connection.
  
• Options! I like to have a lot of characters involved, 1 on 1 roleplay has never been my style. I'll gladly move from public to private for scenes that call for it, but I find it exceptionally difficult to maintain roleplay with only one person to interact with. I like the potential for conflict when you're mixing with a lot of different people, and it's always nice to come into a roleplay with a lot of options. X and Y are off at the park, but it looks like Z is coming to pick a fight with them. There's potential there!
  
• Originality! I don't like canon characters. That's all I have to say on this one.

Hopefully you guys understand what I'm trying to describe and have some suggestions. I'd really like to find something similar to that atmosphere.

I understand perfectly and in many ways my own style is similar. I like to discuss stuff OOC and often inject characters thoughts or background info into my posts to try and keep a narrative feel to it. I know some don't like that, wanting to see and interpret reactions themselves, but it's just the way I like writing.

What kind of stories are you looking for? There's an RP to be found for just about any genre you can imagine. If you create a group it's easy to get a number of folks involved, you can have IC and OOC boards, the format sounds like it would work really well for you with what you're seeking.
