Hi, everyone. I'm Vermilion. I'm new here, but I've roleplayed on a few other forums. I won't say I'm a writer, because I'm not, but I certainly enjoy it. And what a better way to enjoy it than with other people?
My preferred RP genre is sci-fi (especially Doctor Who-style things), but I'll take fantasy any day. I speak English and I'm attempting to learn ASL -- American Sign Language.

Welcome! Back in the day I was soooo interested in learning ASL. I still find that I can't sing happy birthday without also doing it in sign. Unfortunately, I haven't retained too many other things.

Learning a form of sign language is a very commendable feat, I couldn't do that even if I tried, haha.
Anyway, I know there are a ton of Sci-fi fans here, including myself. I personally don't rp much except once in a great while and under proper conditions, there are maaaany more active folks here. If you ever want to chat or need an idea for something, though, just shoot me a message or hit up the off topic chat thread where I lurk.

As for the ASL, my friend has been nagging me to try to learn it for years. I have a tendency to use my hands a lot when I speak, and he suggested I put it to good use. It's been going okay.

Hello and welcome, Vermilion! I like fantasy as well. Hope to roleplay with you someday! As for ASL, my aunt used to teach me but I didn't get very far after she went for abroad. I know the alphabet and some basic greetings and thank yous though!
