I pull into my driveway and I get out, leaning against my car. "Hopefully the others get here soon."

Nick was silent as he road with Chris, thinking about everything that was happening. It was all just so bizarre, and most of all frightening, after all they were all given such great power, but with such power what exactly are they hoping to fight? He stared at his scale and saw that Chris was doing the same.

"What you thinking Chris, you really think we should go through with this whole thing?"

"Yeah, yeah," said Hiro. "I know. Still, ya gotta admit, if this is half as awesome as we think it is, we're in for the greatest adventure of anyone's lives. We'll finally have something good to do with all of these martial arts skills dad showed us. You can't tell me you're not excited about that."

Continuing to drive Chris glanced over at Nick" yeah I think we should go through with this.I mean we were chosen from birth to be the scale guardians". The red light up ahead slowing them down just a little as Chris stopped at the light

Keeping relitively quiet he pulled up into Leon's drive way, "this isn't about cool or exiting, this is about protecting ourself and our world...." He couldn't explain it but Kin could feel a darkness growing inside but he shrugged it off and got out of the car.

I walk over to Kinzoku and Hiro as they get out of their car. "Sup guys, welcome to casa de Leon. Now we're just waiting on Nick and Chris."

The car pulled up to the driveway, parking right next to the others. Nick exited the vehicle and couldn't help but stare in awe at the impressive looking mansion.

"Wow, nice digs Leon."

When the two brothers arrived, Hiro jumped out of the still-moving vehicle and gazed up at the mansion. "Oh man! This is too awesome!" He was already running from one side of it to the next, planning out fun ways to scale the building in case he ever thought of an excuse to do so. Before long, he pulled himself together.

"Okay, okay, I'm good," he said. "So, okay. I vote that we go out back and see just what it is we're capable of."

Chris saw the mansion as he got out of his car and said out loud" wow nice place you have here Leon". Just before he got out his gym bag which soon the group will find out that he was once the U.S junior champ in martial arts three years running,slinging his gym bag over his right shoulder and waiting to be lead to where they were going to talk more

Leon's basement is giant, there's a work out room, and a gaming room, we could repurpose the first as a sparing area and the other as an information hub if Leon will let us." He turned to his friend, "what do you think Le?"

"Sure. I'll set everything up. When I get time. But for now, why don't we try to understand everything that has transpired recently."

"Well let's see, here's my experiences." Nick began. "The whole day before the earthquake, the name Tempestas kept popping into my head for no reason, usually in reference to electricity of some sort. The the earthquake happened and I dreamed about this giant blue dragon that claimed to be the physical manifestation of lightning. He said he'd give me his power, that I was chosen to be his "champion" or whatever, and then when I woke up I had this scale in my hands, and you know the rest, sound familiar to you guys?"

"Yeah, that's exactly what happened to me. I was minding my own business, this name, Frigore came to my head and wouldn't leave me alone. Then the quake happened, and now I am--" The boy took out his white scale and struck three different dramatic poses. "That Champion of the Ice Dragon, Frigore!"

With that, his body was enveloped in light, and he was transformed into his new warrior's attire. He swished his icy nunchaku with ease and caught them under his arm. "And the rest is history."

Chris sat around the room with his bag over his shoulders,once it was his turn he exclaimed " that almost what happened to me as well,I mean at one point I'm on my way to school then that earthquake hit,all the while I couldn't get the name truncatis out of my head.then when the building came down on us and knocked me out I saw a lush forest and a dragon fly towards me" as Chris pulled out his green dragon scale and looked at it once again

Kinzoku nodded, as they walked in the house and down to the basement. "Know that we each know how it happened we should probably figure out what it means to be a champion..." Seeing his little brother take on his transformation made him sigh, "so he gets Frozen nun-chucks..." Kinzoku remembered back to when the black dragon Tenebrus told him he had to earn his weapon unlike the other four who were just handed theirs on silver platters, "what about the rest of you?"

"Pretty much the same. Had my deagon's name sruck in my head the whole day. When I was knocked out a red dragon appeared to me and mentioned something about the flames being my ally once more. That sounds familiar, but I can't really put my finger on it."

"Well..." Nick said before grasping his scale in his hands and mentally activating his transformation, he was still surprised by how easy it was, and the rush of power he felt once he was transformed. With a flick of his hand, a whip made out of pure lightning extended from his hand. He cracked it once, a loud thunder clap echoing throughout the room. "I've got this Lightning Whip, not my first choice for a weapon, but it is what it is."

Hiro twirled and spun his nunchaku faster and faster, but he quickly stopped it. "Guys, something's wrong with my weapon." He held it out in front of him and looked over it carefully. "It feels like--" He gave it a squeeze with his hands, and suddenly the object shattered in his grip, the chain snapping like a frozen twig.

The boy let out a yelp and staggered back. "Oh man! Oh man oh man oh man! I broke it! I freaking broke it!" He started to shake, suddenly at a complete loss for what to do.

Chris looked around them and saw Nick,and Hiro morph into their respective colors, he then dropped his gym bag and whispered "Truncatis" and once again he took on his ranger form.

Chris concentrated and his forest staff formed in front of him, then he looked at Kinzoku "to be a champion of something is a great feeling.it means that you were the over all the best choice of all the people. However its important that we don't think of others are less then you" Chris explained grasping his forest staff

Staying in his human form like Leon, Kinzoku sighed. "Hiro just form the weapon again, you probably have unlimited ice or whatever..." Looking to Chris he then responded, "best in the world or best of what people were near the earthquake when it happened? How do we know they didn't also choose five other kids in America?" Then looking at Nick, "or Mexico?" Then he looked at Leon, "or Europe or where ever...?"
