Millions and millions of years ago five beings lived on Earth, Ignis the dragoness of Fire, Frigore the dragon of frost, Tempestas the dragon of thunder, Truncatis the dragoness of the forest, and finally Tenebrus the dragon of the night. These five defended our world millions of years before we were even alive from those of other worlds and other dimensions but when humans came along they knew we would have to learn to defend ourselves so they move on from our world each leaving a scale behind with great power inside of each for the day when Earth needed great defenders again. The five dragons buried the scales deep underground having no idea that one day Yagami Community College would be built right above it and that five students attending would one day find the powerful scales.
"Siphilis," Kinzoku said raising his hand, "and the photo to the left of it is Crabs..." Health class was mandatory for all majors here, you could only get an Associates degree here but Kinzoku had saved health for his first semester of last year, his sophomore year. Students only attended community, or transfer school for two years, it was cheaper then a university but you could transfer to a university after community college if you wanted a bachelors degree or a masters. The pictures on the screen were gross and the less mature kids in class giggled at the words but Kinzoku tuned them out. The teacher thanked Kinzo and the student was able to sit, he didn't know why but during everyone of his classes in the basement of the school he had the urge to draw, sometimes the night sky, sometimes dragons, sometimes just write a name over and over in his note book. Tenebrus, Tenebrus, Tenebrus, Tenebrus, Tenebrus... He didn't know what it meant but it made him feel good writing it down. "Tenebrus," he whispered under his breathe, he didn't know it yet, but he would soon find out what it meant.

As I walked around my room, pacing back and forth, not knowing what to do since I didn't have any classes scheduled for today, then a name popped into my head. Ignis. It repeated itself a few times, and it confused me. I had never heard that name before, or at least I think I haven't. My curiosity peaked, I Google the name, but nothing turns up. I continue to pace, mulling over the name. Ignis. A strange name, but the more I think about it, the more it seems familiar to me, and I can't explain why.
Nick worked delicately on the circuit he had been building on the ELVIS board, wires upon wires connecting various components that would soon be brought to life by a current of electricity. It was strange, he already finished that weeks electronics lab, as well as written up the Lab Report, but he somehow felt the strange urge to start on next week's lab. Now, Nick was smart, but he was also lazy to a certain degree, so it was strange for him to actually want to work when he didn't have too. He flipped on a switch in the circuit, but the readouts he was getting didn't seem to fit his predictions, he went over his work and everything seemed to be connected correctly.
"Damn, must be a broken part." Nick said as he searched for the culprit, and found it to be the transistor he was using. He quickly replaced it and went to flip the switch again, a single name flashing in his mind as he did, Tempestas.

Hiro was not a student at campus. He was too young, and there was no way on earth he'd be smart enough to attend early, so what was he doing there?
An easy question. This campus was great for free running practice and training. Around here, if a student noticed him running along a rooftop, they wouldn't care and just leave him be. If a faculty member saw him, they were old and slow and would never get be able to follow him. If security caught him, then he'd get a terrific workout, so no matter how the die was cast, he'd come out a winner.
Right how he practiced on one of the dorm buildings, using the downward slope of the roof to increase the resistance of his push ups.
"Ninety-seven, ninety-eight, ninety-nine, Frigore!" he flipped forward onto his hands and rolled off the roof, catching himself on a windowsill. "Wait, Friggore. What?"

Just arriving at yagami community college was Chris, he just moved to the area and didn't have many friends, and his father a nuclear physicist took a job near by. Chris walked into the dean's office "excuse me sir I'm the new transfer student" as he handed him his papers, the dean replied "hello Christopher here is your schedule. And it looks like you have health at this time, I'll walk you down" and reached out and handed Chris his schedule and begun to walk him down to the class. While Chris was walking down the hallway a name came into his mind "Truncatis" he thought to himself (what in the world is that about?), "and here we are" as the dean knocked on the door to health class. Chris was very nervous but he used his martial arts training to help calm him down as he put his hands behind his back, while they waited for the teacher to answer the door
The teacher didn't answer the door however, Kinzoku opened the door, "excuse me..." Class had just ended and it was time for Kinzo to go home, some students had more classes but four o'clock was the end of the day for Kinzoku. The dean sighed seeing that the class had just ended and then a smile popped into his face, he suggested that Kinzo show Chris around the rest of the school. "But sir I have a Buisness project to work on," kids pushed passed the three of them as they got to go home, but not Kinzo apparently.
About a half hour later Kinzoku had been showing the new kid around the school while he was texting his partner is Buisness class, the texts read: Leon I know we were gonna work on our Marketing Project's together today but Dean Makamoto has be showing this freshman around the school, meet me at the school and we'll just work on it here. The tour continued and as they finished checking out the classrooms upstairs, the library and offices on the ground floor, the commuter, and music rooms they returned to the basement, seeing some weird light coming from a room they opened it up! Nick Kell was a genius but also a bit of a dork, "and in this room we have Albert Einstine working on Frankinstiens Monster." Looking down at his phone he sent another text, this one wasn't to Leon, but to his little brother who loved coming to school with him to work out. Remember Hiro, I won't be taking the bus home with you, tell mom I'm working with Leon on our Marketing Project's.

My phone buzzed and I read Kinzoku's text, and I reply with: Alright, I'll be there in 5. And this weird name popped into my head a few minutes ago, I'll tell you more about it when I get there. I put on my jacket, run downstairs, and I jump in my car. I start it up and I race off to university, hoping to clear up what that name meant.
"Please don't compare one of the greatest physicists in the history of science to some half-assed Sci-fi/Horror nonsense." Nick replied indignantly, not even looking up from his work to see who had come in. He recognized Kinzoku's voice, they had a few classes together and he often participated in said classes, gotta admire a guy that went that extra mile in their education. As such, he didn't dislike him, though he wasn't exactly friends with him either, his less then enthusiastic response was more due to him being so focused on his work and any kind of distraction was simply unwelcome.
"So, you in here to finish a lab Kinzoku, or getting a head start on next week like I am?" He asked absentmindedly as he continued to fiddle with his elaborate circuit and take down data in his notebook. Suddenly, he realized that instead of writing Voltage in the table he was writing in, he wrote the word Tempestas.
'That's the third time today, what the hell does that even mean?' He thought to himself before quickly correcting his mistake.

Hiro heard the song "Kung Fu Fighting" playing on his phone, and used one free hand to pull it from his pocket, while the other still suspended him three stories above ground.
It was his Kinzoku. Another lonely bus ride again, it looked like. "Oh well. Frogore that guy. WHY DID I JUST SAY THAT--" It was only after Hiro had started falling down the side of the dorm that he realized that he had let go of the windowsill. His thoughts ran quickly. Can't grab another one. Brace for impact. Sloped mulch-covered garden below. Knees bent. Roll backward.
And that's exactly what happened. His thought were not thought so much as they were muscle movements that seemed to read his situation independently of his brain. Once done the shallow slope, Hiro rolled to his feet. "The power of Zen wins again," he said to himself, hands placed calmly in his pockets. A guy and girl had seen him fall, and the two of them simply stared at him.
"What?" Hiro asked them. "Did something happen?" He then turned and walked away, whistling "Kung Fu Fighting."

Chris absorbed all that Kinzoku had told him and was very interested in what he was being showed, at the same time the name began to go through his head once head "Truncatis". When the two went back down to the basement he met Nick and was immediately intrigued by what he was doing, " if I may ask you Nick what are you working on here?". Before Chris's cell phone rang it was his mother he said "excuse me its my mom I've gotta answer it" he then slid his finger on his phone to answer "hey mom, how's work going for you and dad?" She replied "ok honey how's your school?" Chris replied "it was ok. Mom can I call you back when I'm on my way home" , "sure honey I love you Chris" as she hung up first and he put back his phone in his pocket. "I apologize about the disruption" as he went back to looking at Nick's work
Kinzoku recegnized the kid in the room, "neither I'm just showing," he turned to the boy, "Chris right? Yeah, I'm showing Chris around, he's a freshman here and about to start..." The lights flickered and Kinzoku got silent, lab equipment on the desks began to shake and the ground started to rumble low at first, earthquake sirens blared over the intercom! The ground shook and opened up dropping the three of the down a few feet and collapsing the classroom above down on the group! Outside the earth rumbling shifted the road Leon was driving on and his car dropped into and opening, slamming into solid stone throwing rubble threw the window and knocking him out. Hiro's superior balence caused him not to fall but instead to dance his way into a pitfall on purpose as he jumped out of the way of a falling statue!
An hour passes as the unconscious group experiences different visions before awakening in different hospitals across Yokohama, Japan, each with an odd flawless scale like stone in their pocket or grasped in their unconscious hand.
Prior to awakening however... Darkness surrounded Kinzuko, a low voice in a language he did not recegnized but somehow under stood spoke up: So your soul believes it can handle billions of shadows passing through, sharing their visions of combat and knollege? Kinzuko, completely confused rubbed his eyes, "am, am, I blind???" A shadowy whirling could be felt surrounding him. Kinzuko, don't you know me, the darkness your mind has been embraced, you will learn how to take a hundred step in a single stride, vanish from sight like the stealthiest rogue, and Weild a sword made of your own shadow and will power... "who are you!?!?!" Blinking his vision adjusted to the darkness finally, before him the face of a dragon came into view, "Tenebrus...?" So you do now me boy, only one has tried to conjure me before but the sheer utterance of my name brought him to his knees, do you know that I am the night and all its creatures? And my brothers and sisters are the Sun, the Storm, the jungle, and the bitter cold of the deepest sea. Surely you can't be MY champion?
Kinzoku felt like he never had before, he had always been bit of a gothic kid, especially in high school, but this darkness was completely different, "Where are my friends beast!?!?!" Darkness began to flare him his eyes and began ran forward and punched the dragon who simply laughed, you may not have strength or smarts, but you charisma and will power are like none I've ever seen... You may take my scale.... Light filled The world around Kinzo as he turned his stiff neck, looking over seeing a hospital room all around him. Finally his eyes fall upon the scale in his hand, "what the hell just happened...?"

After getting a blow to the head by some falling rock, instead of opening my eyes and seeing a hospital room, I see a light, that grows and moves towards me, until I realize, it's not just a light, it's a flame, as bright as the sun. "What the... What the hell is going on?" Suddenly, I was surrounded by fire. Leon, do not fear the flames, for they have been your ally, and can be once again. "What? What are you talking about? Who are you?" You do not recognize who I am? We have not met, yet you know my name. "....Ignis..." Yes. Your exceptional skills prove you worthy of being a champion, but your unwillingness to work with a team and your fear of failure may be your undoing. But you may have my scale, and once again may your hands burn with that which once saved your life. the fire around me grows until I am engulfed, and I jolt awake in a hospital bed, and I when I feel something in my palm, I open it. A glowing red scale.
"Well, this is..." Nick began to explain before he was interrupted by the Earthquake. Before he could register what was even happening he fell down the open crevasse in the ground with the rest of his classmates, getting knocked out by a bump on the head by falling debris.
Floating... yes, he was definitely floating, at least that's what it felt like when his senses started to return to him. It was peaceful to a certain agree, enough to just continue sleeping, but just as his mind was about to fall back into unconsciousness, an incredibly loud booming sound, accompanied by a bright flash of light, startled him awake. He let out a scream of surprise as his eyes shot open, but instead of a bed and a room with four walls, he was met with the sight of... clouds, dark grey storm clouds that obstructed his view of anything else.
"What the hell... what isGAHAHAHAH!!!" Nick screamed as another flash of lightning went off, the boy reflexively covering his ears from the thunder. However, the lightning bolt didn't just disappear, it struck a nearby cloud and seemed to fuse with it, taking on the form of a blue dragon. Nick's eyes widened in shock at the magnificent sight, but the dragon only looked down at him, almost condescendingly.
"Hmph, look at you, shrieking and cowering just at the very sight of my power, to think that such a whelp would come before me as my champion." The dragon spoke, obvious distaste in his thundering voice.
"Huh, champion, wait a second, who are you, what are you?" Nick inquired frantically, this felt WAY to real to be a dream.
"Think child, you know my name."
"...Tempestas." Nick realized, in fact that name had been echoing in his mind the moment he saw the creature, but it was only now that he had the courage to say it.
"That is correct, I am the storm itself, one of the mightiest forces of nature, I suppose I can understand why you cower before me." Tempestas boasted as he flew around Nick, Lightning arcing from his body forcing Nick to cover his ears from the thunder. Nick thought about his statement for a moment, then he just snickered.
"Ok, now I know I have to be dreaming, no way this is actually happening." Nick stated with an amused smile on his face.
"Fool, you DARE deny my power!!" Tempestas shot back in anger, countless bolts of lighting arcing and just barely missing Nick.
"Well... yeah, Lightning is just a transfer of electrons from a point of high potential to low potential, sure it can be dangerous, and primitive humans used to think it was the work of some sentient being, such as yourself, but the truth is all things in nature can be explained through rational, naturally occurring physical processes. Lightning is nothing to be afraid of, in fact a few hundred years of research and engineering and we've turned electricity into a valuable tool; so do I deny your power, hell yeah I do." Nick was surprised by his boldness, but then again this was obviously just a figment of his imagination, an now way he was going to wake up a nutcase that worships the "Lightning Dragon". Tempestas narrowed his gaze at Nick, who met his stare with brimming confidence. The dragon smirked at this.
"I see, through knowledge you have gained strength, enough to even stand up to my might." He said. "Perhaps you do have the makings to be my champion after all, and so my scale is yours." With that, Tempestas summoned a tremendous bolt of lightning and struck Nick with it.
Nick's eyes jolted open as he found himself in an unfamiliar room, but further inspection found it to be a hospital room. Nick sat up in the bed, rubbing his bandaged head that still hurt somewhat.
"Heh, knew it was just a dream." He said, but just as he did, he felt something like he was clutching something in his right hand, and so he held it up and unballed his fist, revealing a blue glowing scale, the faintest little sparks of electricity emanating from it. "...oh crap."

Hiro jumped into the crag, taking care not to lose his footing until he reached the bottom... which was not a good place to stand at all.
He spread his legs out on either side of him to support himself on the two narrow walls at the bottom of the crag. "Hah!" scoffed Hiro. "Hiro Toriyama once again proves his dominance!"
That's when a rock fell on his head, causing him to black out.
He felt cold. So cold. The more he regained his consciousness, the colder he felt. When he opened his eyes, he found himself knee deep in snow. "What? WHAT!?!" he shouted into the stirring winds. The winds grew harsher and harsher, biting at his face and hands. "No! No! NO!!" He forced himself to his feet and continued yelling into the storm. He stomped his feet and flexed his muscles, fighting with all of his might against the cold. "I'm not gonna die out here! YOU HEAR ME!? I'M NOT GONNA DIE!!"
"Interesting reaction there, sonny."
Hiro turned his body quickly, like a cornered animal. "Who's there?!" he snarled. His boldness faded quickly, though, upon staring up at a great, draconic figure dragging its great legs through the snow toward him.
"You've got quite the temper, don't you?" commented the white dragon before him. "Perhaps my power is just the thing my champion needs to cool his head."
"What are you talking about?" asked Hiro. "Who are you? What do you want?"
"Who am I? Do you really need me to tell you my mane by now?"
Hiro began to feel the cold creep back into his system. His shivered violently, but quickly started drawing forth anger to combat it. "You. YOU!! You're this Frigore thing, aren't you!? You're name's been ringing in my head constantly all day, you know that!? I couldn't think straight, you oversized ice-cube tray!"
The huge creature laughed, causing more chilling winds and snow to stir. "You have quite the spirit," it told him. "Just the thing to endure my icy cold power. You have much to learn, but the fire in your gut makes you worthy of my scale. Temper your temper with the calm of cold."
Hiro jumped awake, the frozen wasteland around him gone. Even so, he still woke up feeling extremely cold. A doctor and three nurses were frantically wrapping his body in cold, wet towels all over him. Hiro didn't take this well.
"What the heck are you doing!? Do you have any idea how cold that is!?"
After a combination of strangely relieved and panicked medical staff trying to calm him down, the painful pull of IV needles in his arm he hadn't noticed until after he jumped off of the bed, and Hiro chasing off the staff by whipping cold towels at them, he finally allowed himself to calm down enough to notice the small, white object he had in his hand.
He simply blinked at the item in his hand. "No way," he uttered. "That can't be real."

As the ground shook around Chris it did scare him and through him around the room until finally he was hit in the head by a very large rock.
As he fell to the ground unconscious he awoke in a field around him he saw trees a stream of water in the stream it was clear enough he could see the bottom of it as he could see the fish swimming through out, he then looked around and saw various animals running through the forest. He began to think (this has got to be a dream), Chris heard a loud and deep female voice "Do not fear my child you are one with nature calm and cool minded you shall be my champion" the dragon spoke of and it was then he got to see the dragon itself which was long with wings and in a green color, while still in the dream he looked down in his hand was a green scale and a bright light appeared.
Chris suddenly awoke in Honmoku Hospital with bandages on his head and other various parts of his body. It was then he heard the familiar voice from his dream "Remember my champion protect my scale and the world",which prompted Chris to look down in his right hand was a green scale. As the nurse came in he quickly closed his hand and she said to him "Mr. Wolfe your awake that's great your parents are on the way here as we speak. My name is Miss Tsugani " as she began to check his wounds and his vitals.

Over the next few days construction crews began repairing the damage but oddly enough there were no fatalities, and with the acception of a dozen or so others, only the five of them were really hurt in the crash. "What did you say Hiro? A dream with a giant blue dragon!?!?!" Kinzoku sat in their family living room, their father brought in a plate of cookies, she was just glad that the boys were ok. The two boys had no mother so if he had lost his sons he would have lost everything. Kinzuko!!! Hiro!!!! Their father Arkusada was know for two things, his substriprion to Mustache Weekly and his constant marshal art training he constantly put his sons through, Kinzoku became a bit off put and gothic because of it and Hiro became obsessed with surpassing their father. Thats the last time either of you fall into an earthquake!!! Jumping in the air he landed two kicks, one on each son. Kinzoku brought up his fore arm and blocked the attack while Hiro flipped backwards most likely landing on his feet.
"Dad you can't kick people with head wounds... It's in the pamflit..." Kinzo handed their father the small paper trifold from the hospital. He read it over our load,No punching, kicking, tackling, tickling, body slamming, running too fast, climbing, or operating large machinery... It says nothing about karate chops! Ark laughed as he karate chopped Kinzoku in the side and the boy collapsed, "ouch..." As his father and younger bother began to engage in all out combat Kinzoku pulled out his phone and texted Leon, We need to talk... Something happened in that earthquake. Having been Nick's lab partner once last semester he relayed the same message to him... But added, I don't know how your gonna do it but find that Chris kid too...

My phone goes off, with Ronnie Radke yelling "Pick up your phone! Answer your text!", as my ringtone is for all my contacts, with a few exceptions. I look at the text, and I reply with: Well yeah, something did happen. My very expensive car was totaled! And did you happen to have any weird dreams while you were blacked out? Cuz I sure did.
Nick sat quietly in his room in his dorm, classes had been canceled until the building could be repaired, so he was left with a lot of time to think, specifically about the strange scale that now sat on his desk across from him. Nick sat up from his bed and walked over to it, picking it up in his hand and examining it.
"What the heck is this thing, it has enough voltage to constantly be sparking, yet it doesn't shock me when I touch it, are the sparks just some kind of optical illusion?" He wondered out loud. He didn't even humor the idea that it was actually some magical scale from that crazy dream he had while in the hospital, there had to be some sort of logical explanation. Just then, his phone beeped, alerting him to a text that he was sent. He read the message, it was from Kinzoku, he had totally forgotten that he even gave him his number back when they were lab partners.
"Find him, how the hell am I supposed to do that?" He said before replying with Ok, I'll see what I can do. and exited his room, making his way to where he believed he could find a new transfer student on a day classes were canceled, the recreational center.

Hiro eagerly tussled with his father, completely ignoring the pain in his head. A true warrior knows how to fight through any pain, maintaining full power at all times!
Try as he might, though, he couldn't get the upper hand against his old man. It was almost as though a martial artist with decades of experience was somehow able to overcome someone who hadn't even left high school yet or something.
Eventually, his father got him in a sleeper hold. "H-hey! No fair! Uncle! Uncle!" He tapped his father's arm rapidly before he was finally released.
That moment of excitement passed, Hiro looked over at his brother. "Hey, Onii san! You left me hanging back there. Who are you texting?"

Chris was in the school's recreational center trying to relax from the earthquake, sitting on the couch at the recreational center thinking to himself "What am I supposed to do with this thing its obviously real. I wonder if Kinzoku and Nick had the same experience as I did?. I guess I'll have to find out" as he looked down at the green scale.
As chris stood up from the couch he noticed his wounds have almost healed up and he figured that the wounds wasn't as bad as the hospital left on. Chris pulled out his phone and called home and told his mom and dad "I'm on way home now..there's nothing here to do" and he hung up his phone and began to walk out to his car which was a Nissan skyline gtr r34 to begin driving home. While he walked out through the school he thought to himself "I'm lucky I didn't drive to school that day".
