Hello folk, as it seems to be a trend in this forum, introductions are just weird and awkward. So I'll just get down to it. I've been playing RPG Table Top games since 2006 and have only recently played a couple RP sessions over Skype in a Star Wars Edge of the Empire 1 shot.
I greatly enjoy playing D&D & Pathfinder fantasy settings, but some of these games can be overwhelmed by rules and bog the game down. Recently I have discovered shorter games such as Fiasco, Lasers & Feelings, Dungeon World, etc. These games allow for more RP than rules grinding and I prefer these shorter games due to my packed "Real Life" schedule.
Genres: Fantasy, SciFi, Horror are my preferred genres (but willing to try any).
RPR: I'm looking for a group that can work together and adventure over Skype or any other way via inter"webs".
Favorite kind of RP: I really enjoy playing the smart but fragile characters with heavy backstory.
Pets: I have 3 pets; 1x dog "Buster", 1x Cat "Bendi" (my wife's pet), 1x Salcuta/African Spurred Heel Tortoise "Sid the backyard dinosaur" (that's it unless you want to consider my 2x kids).
School: I have recently decided to go back to college so my favorite subject is Speech.
What I do for a living: Currently Self-employed and write small-Business Plans, Code of Conduct, and Policies & Procedures.
Hopes & Dreams: Attain a Bachelors in Business: Production & Logistics, raise my children to be creative and open, and be a good husband.
Questions about the site: none at the moment.

Welcome to RPR! I recently played a couple of short games of Pathfinder and I really enjoyed it. I hope you're enjoying the site so far If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask, we're all friendly here and super happy to help
Hi! Welcome to RPR! I'm sure you'll have a great time here!
You rolled two 10s in one go. :o One was out of ten itself and the other was hundred, but it is still double 10s.

You and me are gonna get along great, guy. I love table top games, dnd 3.5e is my specialty . It's always great to see another d20 fan in these parts. It's also cool to see another tornado alley resident in here (Kansas here).
Interesting choice in career, man, and kudos to ya on going back to school. I'd love to go back myself. There are many, many, many RPR folks in college/University right now.
You seem like an apt fella, so I imagine you can gather what each forum section does based on its title . The smalltalk section is where I lurk, I love hanging out and talking with folks here.
Again, welcome to the forum, Steve, you're going to have a wonderful time.

Welcome to RPR! I don't have much to add other than sharing my experiences of how amazing RPR and the community is. I hope you're having fun!
Welcome to the site We're glad to have you ^^
Thanks a lot for the very warm welcome! I look forward to gaming and/or chatting with ya'll in the near future. Just FYI, I'm in the market for a few genres I have not tried yet.
Horror
Wild West
Apocalyptic
Again, I will still be up for playing any.

Hi there and welcome! How do you even get two 10s e-e Well, that aside, I like the way you introduced yourself! Sadly, I haven't tried either of the games you mentioned.
For genres, I find fantasy really enjoyable! Sci-Fi sounds awesome, but in all honesty, I still haven't completed even a single setting. As for your real life take-care-of's, I wish you all the best!
Welcome again and feel free to message us for questions, a game, or a chat!

If you like pokemon, you might soon be able to join an Apocalyptic RP (whenever me and my buddy get it ready)
But hey, welcome to the site~

Welcome to RPR, FiascoSteve~
o: Hey there!
I actually recently moved from Texas to where I am now (I say recently, but at this point, it's about eight months ago...)!
I'm pretty big into doing D&D and Pathfinder as of recent, too! I agree that they can be fairly spaced out and tedious to get done. But they're still fun nonetheless.
But hey, sometimes you just want to sit down and finish something quicker. :'D
Anyways, I really hope that you enjoy your time here! ^ o ^ /
