I'm in favor for a group PM, btw. Also okay with everything noted so far! I can keep up with that.

Do the characters have to be from specific eras/technology settings or will anything do?

I think this should be able to work with any era. At least, I haven't thought of a specific issue that can't be taken care of yet, aside from possible confusion between characters and the differing standards they may have.

Alright, so, it's looking like I will have to get choosy (OH GOD I'M SORRY), but before I do anything with that, this is what it currently looks like so far to me...

Things for further consideration:

Everyone who ends up included will be expected to give best effort on spelling and grammar. (Posts don't need to be perfect or long, but good characterization details are much loved.) Off-days are recognized and accepted, but in general, you should be able to put decent effort into this.

Game speed may vary based on things going on for everyone, and you should be able to flex some to try matching it as you are able. Considering a usually slow speed is expected, this RP should be going for at least a few months. If you already believe you'll have a lot getting in the way (for example, if you're soon to start very intense schooling that'll be lasting awhile), I ask now that you reconsider joining. If you suddenly disappear for an extended time, your character may have been removed by the time you return, and I may have to fit that removal into the plot depending on what's going on. (If you can at least warn me, we might be able to work things out.)

You should be open to the possibility of your character suffering greatly and potentially even dying. This doesn't mean you have to keep such things true beyond this RP, or perhaps even beyond the dream, but very bad things might happen to your character. Things meant to cause discomfort WILL happen at some point. If you're protective of your character, you may want to reconsider joining.

If the planned speed sounds too slow and boring for you, this probably won't be a fun RP for you. However, I'm not opposed in the least to others grabbing inspiration or anything from this for their own games. (Seriously, dream worlds are not a new thing.)

If you'd like to back out, please let me know. I'd rather lose folks before it begins than have troubles after things start.

I'll be using this character. I agree and am fine with everything stated above.

Erm, I know you've got a lot of interest already and though I've hope to be a player, I wouldn't mind just helping with building the world and structuring the rp format. Plus, I'd definitely be up for helping construct the rules of the dreamworld. Whether the entire world is fabrication or perhaps a reality all its own (ie perhaps it is the dream of some sleeping deity) could be fun to speculate on. Also, were you planning the characters to be unaware they are in a dream at the start, like they're in the matrix lol, or were you more thinking they'd be aware right at the start (ie, pinch themselves and see it doesn't hurt)?

This works just fine for me. I'm in! Bring on the death and dismay, modern Tak will be my victim of choice.

Not the dream of a deity, but it is the dream of someone. And yes, as mentioned in the first post, characters will not be aware at least in the beginning.

Ah, changed him back? I was wondering for a moment how he'd fit in a dream. ^^

I WILL DO IT....Can we be any type of character from any type of roleplay...Like I have a medieval character thats all...

My character is for medieval to victorian to steampunk settings. You'll be fine!

Can I get a quick confirmation from everyone still wanting to play that you have fully read and agree to the following:

This will allow me to better consider who all will be included in this particular game. ^^

I'm quite content with all of the above. I do have finals coming up next month, but I'll be able to post a paragraph no problem.

In fact, I've been thinking I could make a character specifically for this rp (as I am often inclined), and try to make them someone that adds to the group harmony or creates tension in the group.

Read and agreed! (Though if I happen to lag, a PM is all I need, as far as speed goes. If only because I've also got a full-time job to deal with, and I forget things).

More than likely I'll alternate-universe one of my own in - probably Aaron or Luke or Malcolm.

(And that Villains group could use some adventures, these days, I'd totally be down with plopping it in there!)
