It's been months, months since she was taken. She can hardly even remember what its like to be free. These people were vicious and relentless, they'd never give up until she told them everything. But she wouldn't, she knew she couldn't. No matter how many brands, cuts, lashes, and beatings she received, she refused to be a traitor, refused to be weak. It was the final week. She would die at the end of this week. They were losing hope that they would break her so now it was time to dispose of her. Except... It didn't happen. Someone took her away before she was killed. Did she get taken from one tortuous living to another? Or is she free now? Can she trust her new captor or is he, maybe, her savior?
Some magic. Few can use it, but most of the players probably won't have it. Magical characters will likely believe that they are all alone.
Modern
Combat is woven into the storyline and could come to the forefront if the characters seek it out.
