Well, as some of you know and 9/10ths of you don't, I LOOOVE working on and restoring older cars. Nissan and Datsun stuff is my specialty, but as long as it's older and Japanese, I love it.
A list of stuff I've owned, worked on and sold off:
Nissan:
1985 200sx S12 - currently restoring, have a lot of unopened factory stock to put in. Getting a turbo ka24e swap eventually.
1989 240sx s13 - parts car for...
1990 240sx s13 - ended up having major rust issues. Sold that to get a mint...
1990 240sx s13 coupe - was a good car, gave me no problems. Sold this to get my Cressida.
1995 240sx s14 - my current daily driver, getting a forged bottom end and boost this winter/spring.
Toyota:
1986 Corolla GTS (ae86/ae88) - probably my favorite car ever. I regret with every part of my being selling this, but I didn't have the money to bring it up to daily driver spec.
1992 Cressida, with a JZX81 Mark II front end conversion - this was an interesting car. Bought it with a stock motor, but suspension totally done. After owning it a few months, I got ahold of a Japanese front clip for it, did a conversion on it, but it was creeping up in 210k miles. I sold it to get my Lexus.
Lexus:
1998 GS400 - Good lord, this car was comfy. It retry quick, too. This particular one had some hail damage and about 220k on it, so I fixed it up, sold it and picked up my 95 240sx with that cash.
Anyways, I just wanted to know if anybody else was a secret car lover around here, like me. I love working with my hands in general, so fabricators, welders, great monkeys, come and chime in.

I don't work on them but I do love cars! There are Subarus everywhere at my place! I have and 03 Forester, my partner has a '93 Imprezza, and my neighbors both drive Imprezzas as well one is a '93 and the other is a 2000. Between the four of us we have a storage unit full of spare parts. My partner is doing some body work to his car, but it runs like a top, in the spring he wants to swap from the 2.5 rs motor to wrx motor, and he motor in his car will go into mine because well mine is starting to run poorly.
I have worked on cars and trucks since I was 14, and motorcycles. I am also a fabricator, have my own equipment and a metal lathe. Learned to weld in college by William Galvery, have OAC setups from backpack to Industrial, and my own engine driven welder, a Lincoln weldanpower G7. Love Japanese stuff. It's so well engineered and built. I have an older Japanese RV and pickup, and a big American diesel 4x4 truck, all of which I love. Used to have a Yamaha V Star 1100 before it got stolen. Japanese motorcycles are love.
