"Our world is a place where knights in shinning armor figth wars for their king. Where dragons fly through the sky, and elfs, trolls and other magical creatures habitat the forrest, the mointain and the land. It's a place filled with magic, where humans as creatures have forgotten the magical beings before their time, while some of these today is nothing but a faint legend."

Scatty smiled at the kids, while she was telling them about their country. As every kid they loved stories, and she could tell quite a few tales of old lost legends and myths. Ofcourse the children wouldn't think of them as anything else than stories, but these stories and the happiness they brought the kids gave her the oportunity to feel a little bit of that happines herself.
The kids around her wanted her to continue the story, but instead she told them, that if they would stop fighting each other, she might tell them the tale, when she got back to the town. Right know she was just passing by, when she saw the kids fighting over a doll. Usually she wouldn't have stepped in, but because one of the girls have sought safety behind her, she was practically pulled into it.

The city was noisy as always. People were in a hurry to reach their agreements, their trades and to get their noisy (and annoying) children to calm down. Rehal has never been fond of children and especially not when he finds himself around their age, because these small scum thinks they are equal to him. That's is ridiculous.
He sits on the back of a carriage on the way through the marketplace. His feet are bare, but the shoes are placed by his side. As soon as he has a chance, he prefers the naked feet - he can not stand to have shoes on. Before the war he had hooves and therefore no need for such clothing.

Her shop is quiet, but it always is. Only sounds of lots of clocks ticking, and a bell hanging in the window. And the fire burning in the fireplace. She's sitting at her desk which is filled with scrolls, books and lots of magical devices that might be thousands of years old. Sounds can be faintly heard from the street outside. The smell of books and herbs is strong but she's so used to it, she can't smell it. Anarathia is completely sucked into the book she's reading. She can feel Crow on her shoulder. He reads with her but he's more bored than anything.

Bidding her goodbye to the children, she walks back to her horse, which was drinking some water after the long journey, and the reason why she climbed down from it in the first place. Right now she is just in a small town right outside of the big city, where her home is, and she's actually looking forward to taking a nice long warm bath, when she gets there. Although she looks like a knight in her armor, she does not have a crest. Before crawling back up, she once again hides her long curls behind her helmet, since seeing a female knight is not quit popular. She only took her helmet off to show the kids, they should not be scared of her, but now when it's back on, she climbs the horse once again and make it move forward.

Rehal is dressed in a baggy shirt that were once white but now more gray. His pants has a dark brown color and stops just below his knee. Moreover, they kept with up with some worn braces. It's clear to see that this kid does not come from a rich family, but from the typical peasant society. It's very different from the life he once had, but surprisingly, he godt used to the newer lifestyle rather quickly. Shoes on the other hand, is another story.
The carriage stops, which is usually a sign for; 'get your shoes on and help your old father with the baskets' - his parents' are not happy for his 'no shoes'-policy. The carriage is filled with vegetables and fruits ready to be sold.

She turns a page and then Crows voice echoes in her head. 'Hey, don't turn it yet I'm not done!' She sighs turning the page back waiting, while drumming her bronze fingers against the desk. It's a pretty loud noise since it's metal against wood. 'Alright, I'm done. Gee you're so impatient sometimes. I can't help, being a slow reader. Anyways can't we do something else? We already know this story!' She gives him a look before slamming the book shut. She stands, startling the raven on her shoulder, and throws some wood into the fire. Crow gets excited. 'Speed the fire up! I love it when you do that!' She sighs shaking her head. "You do not waste magic on things like that." She answers and caress his shiny feathers while he grumbles. 'You're not impatient enough, apparently...'

She leaves the small town behind, as she continues her travel back to the big city on horseback. She would actually preffer to run and not wear armor, since it slows her down, but in these times, that's the rules for a warrior. Usually she does not get to involved with humans, and only show her face to a few lucky chosen ones. Those whom she trains for battle and who she sees the potential for something big, or just knowing it will help keep the balance of this world. Not that she let them get to know her at all. Although she is not a good liar, she still manage to keep her secrets.
With the sun shinning bright down on her armor, anybody else would have been boiling in it. It might be warm for her as well, but not as intense as for everybody else, which is just some of the effects of being that kind of vampire - a vampire living on emotions.

Rehal could feel how the two marbles in his pocket, knocked against each other, which made him a mumble; "No, shut up" in an extremely passive tone. The marbles were lifeless again as the little wizard lifted the fruit baskets in place by a small booth.
After he was done with that, the marbles once again started to knock against each other and in result of that, Rehal hoisting them out of his pocket, with a glance of irritation on his face.
"Fine, whatever"
He let himself drop the marbles and they rolled parting between peasants busy feet, into the point where Rehal could no longer see them.

Anarathia looks around her Little shop. Everything's a mess but it helps with the old and mysterious air. Crow flies off her shoulder in order to sit on a pile of books she read 50 years ago. 'We never go out... I know we do once every 3 months to collect Herbs, but that's not very healthy. Can't we just go downtown? Ge a drink to celebrate your birthday. I don't know how old you are now, but it still IS your day of birth today right?' She shrugs and sits Down Again at her desk. She pushes some books away and starts working on charms. They're fairly easy to make, but it's very weak magic. The townsfolk love them though. She thinks it's silly. Why would anyone want to change their look just to appeal to more people? She doesn't understand. "We never celebrate my birthday, our yours for that sake." Crow ruffles up in his feathers looking rather offended. 'Of course we do! I brought you a mouse last year for the sleeping potion, remember?' She sighs. "You always get me the animals I need, Crow.' Again he seems offended by her comment. He takes everything so personaly. 'You gave me that, flying spell last year!' "That was because you said you wanted to be faster." Crow sighs defeated and her head becomes quiet Again. Going outside is pointless. There's nothing out there she needs. All her old friends are either dead or hiding, because Thye were stupid enough to start a war, and they all thought she was dead long before that. And human affairs is none of her business. And she's got Crow, so it's not like she's lonely.

Although she just left the small town, she is already able to see the big city, since there is only some few fields on each side of the rode, when she arrives from the South. If she had taken the western passage, she had to go through the big forrest, while the nothern part would lead to the mointains and the eastern to the sea. Of course there were ways in between, but since she came from Southwest anyway, the Southern gateway was the easiest one to ride against. Although she actually was living at the western part of the city. Why? Because she always believed, you never could be too carefull or have to many escape rutes in case of enemies attacking. She might not be that well known in the modern society, but that didn't mean there was some out there, who wanted her dead - or was thinking she was an easy victim, when not wearing her armor.

Rehal shives up to the father figure, waving repellent with one hand while he is busy trying to reverse some fruits in the basket. He has given up trying to force Rehal to spend his time with the other 'peers' children, for the magician has always gone his own (maybe a little lonely) roads, but always came back again. In just a few years, Rehal have no plans about returning to this family. He is his own master and would rather spend time exploring the world.
Rehal decides to head for the city's bookstore, which is the only place where he finds peace. The peasants on the countryside, have little interest in books.

At some point Crow asks her if he can go out to hunt and she shrugs, since it's his own choice. The store is quiet Again and she just sits there making the charms.

Crow on the other hand, has no plan of hunting. He flies above the city landing on roofs, skimming the streets. Anarathia always does the same. He thinks a birthday present will do her good. He'll find something she likes! He'll find it and not be distractedby anything! Not even something... Shiny? He can see a glimt Down in the crowd and all thoughts of birthday presents are washed away. He dives into the crowd searching eargerly for the source. Then he finds it: To small marbles. They're so shiny and so pretty and... They're moving? He shakes the 'oooh shiny things'-mood off and looks closer. If they're moving by themselves, that Means they're magical! Ana will just love that! But... But they're so pretty and shiny and he reeeally wants them.... Well what is Anas is his right? He quickly snacthes the two marbles in his beak, being carefull not to harm them and then takes off Again.

After a short ride she finally reaches the big city. She have been underway for days, since she just finished a job at the Southwestern boarder of the country. For her it was no big deal to handle a gang of robers, which has been a plauge for the villages there for a while, but it gave her some money, and she was able to feed on their fear. She actually prefers fear and sorrow to feed on, because those feelings are more intense than just normal everyday happiness. Does not climb down from her horse, but just lead it slowly through the crowded streets. It's not unusual to see knights in this big city, which makes the crowd not paying any special attention to her, which she appreciate.

The doorbell rings as Rehal opens the door to the bookstore. But now he's hesitating, because someone feels ... strange. It is not unusual that the two marbles will be found by other children and therefore no longer touches of the ground, but to be several meters up in the air is new. This causes Rehal to wonder and look over his shoulder one last time. Hopefully, those two have control of the situation and with the thoughts, Rehal inters the bookstore.

Anarathia only gets to make 10 charms before Crow is back. He flies in from the window and looks really excited. He presents to marbles that he leaves on the table. 'Here you go, Ana! Happy birthday!' He proudly grooms his feathers as she studies the marbles closer. They're definitely not normal marbles. She looks up. "Where did you find these?" She asks and Crows voice booms in her head. 'On the street! They're magical, see? Best birthday present ever!' She nods absentmindedly and studies the marbles further. "This feels... Familiar..."

The marbles seems to be either confused or is panicing, given that they roll in a circle with fast speed. Suddenly they begin to turn against each other, hard enough that you you'd probably expect that it would damage their surface. When the balls beats so hard against each other, something unexpected happens. A small flash of light occurs and the two marbles are turning into two figures. Two young males who look like twins, if wasn't for their different hair- and eyecolor. One guy has blue-black hair, with reddish eyes, while the other guy has brown hair and blue eyes. They carry both formal clothing of higher magicians rank.
"This is all your fault!" says the guy with the black hair. "I had no idea that I had a fear of heights and I have nausea! I think I'm going to throw up."
"You are disgusting" replies the other guy as he gets up and brushes his clothes clean and glance towards the woman. "Hi"


Meanwhile Rehal enjoys some peace and quiet, since there are barely any costumers in this shop. Only him and a young male - probably a student of some sort. Rehal grabs a random book from one of the shelf, before sitting down on the floor. Not the most pleasent seat, but it can't be any different.

Anarathia stares at the two her acient eyes carefully measuring them. She doesn't look surprised, in fact her expression hasn't changed at all. Crown on the other hand screams and settles on her shoulder where it's safe. She calms the raven down with her left flesh and bone hand and the bronze one reaches out to move away a couple of books so she can get a better look. There's something about those two... She feels like she knows them. "And who might you be?" She asks, her voice calm.

"No one and we are going now. Come on, Zuka" the most calm of the two figures, the one with the brown hair, has already set the course for the frontdoor. On the way, he must also take Zuki's wrist to force him along. The guy with the black hair - Zuki, seems to want to dish out to the poor bird with words "Yeah, you better hide before I strangle you, you little winged feathermonster!".

"Wait." She reaches out her hand and the door handle dissapears. Crow is yelling in her head about wanting to be able to speak out loud so he can tell the dark haired off. She stands up and for being a very powerful magician she's not very tall. Her eyes are more alive than they've ever been the last 1000 years. "Who are you?"

Zuka and the other guy stops as the doorhandle disappears. They exchange glances and even the black-haired guy seems much calmer now. Since their output now disappeared, they feel threatened and in more trouble than first thought. The guy with the brown hair, let go of Zuka, so they are both prepared if the woman should attack.
Zuki - the guy with the brown hair starts talking again, while both two turns with the front against the woman.
"We should not be here, but your bird surprised us. Who we are, does not matter, witch. Please just let us go, before we get in trouble"
"And your bird is stupi -OCH!" Zuka get an elbow in the side because of his quick comment.
