She put her hand on her hip "I know" she pointed to her bag "that's why I started taking blood samples, in the moments when I feel a pulse my blood boils" she raised her eyebrow "as you well know a vampires blood is like nonexistent because our bodies are so cold, I'll show you some slids when we get back to my house" Sophie looked around not sure on how to get home. She now had a human that was coming home with her, she couldn't just leap from building to building...they would have to walk. Once on the ground Sophie walked on the sidewalk, it had been a long time since she actually walked on the ground.
"You bleed to?!" Vincent said with shock, a heartbeat was one thing, but to actually have flowing, liquid blood was astronomically more rare, for any case of Vampirism. If Vincent wasn't interested before, he was now.
"You don't mind showing me, I have to admit I am curious." He admitted as he followed Sophie to her home. "I'd also be happy to help you examine that blood sample you just took, I know a few spells that can make the process a lot easier and more fruitful, but considering the delicate and supernatural nature of the subject, it may be wise not to expose it to any outside mystical forces. That being the case I can still help in anyway I can... I-I mean, if it isn't too much trouble." Vincent said, his face flushing a bit at his own eagerness, he must've sounded like such a creep to her.

Sophie took out her dagger and held out her wrist with one simple movement she sliced her wrist. It bleed for only a second before the wound healed and Sophie whipped the blood away. "See I bleed but only when I feel my heart beat" she took his hand and put it out her chest. Her heart beat was really slow but it did beat. "Im another hour, things will go back to normal and I'll be dead again" Sophie opened the door to her apartment. Her apartment was full of victorian style furniture, she even had some famous paintings on the walls. "Make yourself at home" she walked into the kitchen "so I obviously have to cook your stake seeing your human" Sophie knew how to cook she just haven't done it in years "how would you like your stake?"
(Sorry for the delay, I'm on vacation with the family)
Vincent was surprised to see that she was still capable of bleeding, does that mean her heart is still beating? He soon got his answer when she placed his hand on her chest, a rather awkward position considering her... physiology, but any indecent thoughts the boy had were soon washed away when he indeed felt her heart still beating.
"Whoa, no way, it's still beating, forget rare, this is practically unheard of!" Vincent said in shock, for a vampire to have a continuously beating heart, even if it was just temporary, it was mind boggling. "Ok, now I definitely want in on your research!" He exclaimed excitedly. It was then that they finally made it to her home, Vincent entered and took a moment to admire the decorating, it was rather out of place in the urban setting, but it was nice all the same. Just then, Sophie asked her question. "Huh, oh, medium rare is fine, thanks." Vincent said before going right back to examining the apartment. "So I'm guessing by all of the old timey architecture that you aren't exactly a spring chicken huh?" He absentmindedly asked, unaware for the moment how rude that question was.

Sophie peaked around the kitchen door "you calling me old little boy" she laughed as she grabbed some plates and placed them on the table " I'm 319 years old in vampire years of course" she wasn't bothered by his question if anything she rather enjoyed his company. Vampires didn't make friends with humans especially magic ones. "But I take off like 300 years and I tell people that I'm 19" she returned to the kitchen and started cooking his stake. She walked into the living room and over by a tall bookshelf full of notebooks " Here you go" she stood on her tip toes and grabbed the first notebook "if you really wanna help me with my research you might wanna read what I've done so far" she tossed him the old notebook.
First notebook
*Date 1977
Today I felt my heart beat, by now that should be impossible because I've been undead for a few years now. I decided to start keeping a record, maybe I'll find a cure and I can once again be human and return to my family.*

Vincent diligently read through the notebook, he was surprised, and rather impressed, by how well of a record she had kept of her experiences; there was plenty of data to work with, and very detailed descriptions of experiments she had performed in the decades that she had been searching for a cure. With this being the first notebook, the experiments were rather primitive, and based on currently debunked theories of Vampirism, but it laid the ground work for what they did know of Vampirism, and gave a vague picture of what they were dealing with. As Vincent started sifting through other notebooks, the experiments became much more accurate and sophisticated, but the results remained inconclusive.
"I guess normal science and basic alchemy can only get you so far, especially considering the subject matter." Vincent mused out loud.

"Lucky your here than" Sophie's voice came from behind him it was cold on his neck. Sophie was in the kitchen looking out a small opening, she watched as he went through her notebooks. He was very good looking she thought so she continued to use her vampire powers and play with him so more. "Come and get me" the cold voice whispered into his ear this time sending a chill down his neck. Sophie could smell him from here he smelled rather sweet and rather yummy. Sophie turned back around and continue cooking
Vincent had a chill run down his spine as he heard Sophie's voice, but not a frightful chill, a rather... arousing one if anything. The mage's mind went blank for a moment as Sophie's voice influenced him, but it also made him lose his grip on the journals, and the sound of them hitting the ground brought him back to his senses. He immediately shot up from his seat, his spine still tingling from her voice.
"H-hey, cut that out will you, it's really..." Vincent said as he turned towards her, cutting himself off at the sight of her cooking. She was standing somewhat provocatively, subtly enough to remain classy but not so much so that he didn't notice. He caught himself staring and turned around as a big blush appeared on his face. "...Distracting." He finished, trying to pull himself together.

"It's supposed to butter cup" Sophie smiled and with her bare hand grabed the cast iron skillet with his stake in it "ready to eat, I'm starving" she said in a calm voice as she walked to the table and slid the stake on to his plate. She returned back to kitchen and grab a raw room temp stake and put it on her plate. Sophie sat down and starting cutting the meat into bite size pieces "I hope it's to your liking" she lightly touched his hand, her fingertips were cold as dead. "Are you enjoying my notebooks" she looked at the notebook that had fallen into the ground "tired my best to keep a record of everything" she forked a piece of meat and put it in her mouth.
"...W-well, you've definitely kept a surprisingly thorough record of everything, I'm actually kind of impressed." Vincent replied, his hunger for knowledge just barely overcoming his more... baser urges. "We definitely have a lot to work with, my only real complaint is that all of the research you've done have been completely nonarchanic, and when dealing with something as ancient and supernatural as vampirism, that's just not going to cut it." Vincent explained as he set aside the notebooks to start cutting his stake.
"It's impressive that you able to come to the conclusions you did with non-magical methods, don't get be wrong, but if you really want to start making progress, we'll definitely need to start dipping into more archaic forms of experimentation, lucky for you, that just so happens to be my expertise." He said as he shoved a piece of meat into his mouth. "Mmm... not bad, you got any steak sauce?" He asked.

"Yeah one second" Sophie walks up and goes too the kitchen she comes back and puts the sauce in front of him. She puts her hands on his shoulders and starts to rub "well that's why I got you" she sat down and forked another piece of stake " there is one thing that I haven't tried yet" she winked at him and smiled. "I really wanna inject someone with my blood, I've done it animals and it seems to have no affect"
'...Focus Vincent, focus...' Vincent thought as he tried as hard as he could to resist Sophie's advances. "Animals... you really are out of the loop when it comes to research on Vampirism." Vincent replied. "Testing on animals is pretty much the first thing anyone does when conducting research that would effect humans, so that experiment as been done already, and we found something really interesting. As it turns out, animals are immune to Vampirism, no matter how much Vampire blood, saliva, breath, or DNA we place in an animal of any kind they never contract any form of Vampirism, not even when they are bit directly by the vampire, it was really shocking. From that experiment they were able to come up with a theory that perhaps vampirism only effects beings with an Immortal Soul, and so research started shifting into the more arcane arts." He explained.
((SOOOOOOOOOOO SORRY about the wait, I'm back at school now, so I've kind have been neglecting RPR, and before I knew it 10 DAYS HAD PASSED! Well, enough of my excuses, I understand if you don't want to continue this RP with how unreliable I am))
