Angel Paris (played anonymously)

In the woods, a girl was walking all alone. A dark blue robe covered her body, arms, and legs. It was rather soft, and gave somewhat good protection from the cold, however it did not help well against the winter weather. She would tuck her mask up with her bare hand, covering the lower half of her face, stopping right below her nose. Then, the pink haired lady would pull up the robe's hood, covering her rather bright and standing out hair, or at least compared to the environment she was in, which had no signs of pink in it at all. She would have been a walking target with her hair in plain site, and still was if someone noticed her and was following her now.

This maiden's name was Angel Paris Sh'mit. Sh'mit was the surname she got when she married her husband, however he was long dead by now after having risked his life to save his wife's, Angel. She could recall trying all she could to help him, but nothing would, and he died right on her lap that day. Now, all she was trying to do was live and find shelter so his death would not go to waste. It didn't help that everything terrified Angel however. Behind her, she heard a snap of a twig, causing her to jump and begin to dash out, further proving her cowardness. "EEK!" She shrieked when she went off running, trying to get away from the source of the sound, also causing her to go off of the trail she was walking in by turning in a completely different direction.

However, her running proved to be useful, and probably even a miracle. After a few minutes, she stopped running, tired in her legs and seeing nothing was behind her anymore. She would glance up, and saw a smoke. Smoke meant fire... The cleric began to walk towards the source of the smog in the sky. Then it began to seem like multiple pillars of it were everywhere, till she saw the wall the fires were on. "Oh my... Is... is th-that a sh-shelter...?" Angel asked around; no one would answer, as no one was there. She let out a sigh, and then she would begin walking towards where she believed to be the entrance.
Lia Rossi di Alba (played by Periquito_Drone)

Lia had trekked along the thickening trees for what seemed like AGES. She sighed in annoyance as she began to jog, as if it helped at all to get her out of this place any faster. Her light jog was hauled to a skidding halt when she catches a slight waft of smoke, a fire was nearby. She smiled and began to run towards the smokey scent, the smell got stronger and stronger untill Lia met herself with a wall, "oh finally!" She exclaimed.

Lia stood infront of the wall and eyed it strategically, there was no way she'd be able to get over it, so she began to walk along the border of the wall in hopes of finding an entrance of sorts, hopefully these people are friendly, she thought as she picked up the pace from a walk to a light jog, and finally to a run, her impatience and curiousity getting the best of her.
Estelle had been walking near the riverbed and through the forest for hours, just wandering around with no certain destination to go, but where the river leads. Her home had been destroyed by those creatures that were just so hard to kill, and now she had nowhere to go. But luckily for her, she had managed to grab her trusty bag filled with some essentials and food, so that she can survive. It contained some first aid, like bandages, gauzes, and a bottle of disinfectant liquid, dried fruit, and a container for water. She had already filled the water after she felt she ran far away from the undead.

She could see an end to the numerous tree surrounding her. Finally, she thought. The forest was really making her nervous, as anything can sneak up on her. She practically sprinted the remaining distance. That was how much she wanted to leave the forest. Yes, I'm out of the forest. She didn't care about following the river anymore, as long as she was OUT of there. As she walked further, she could see smoke rising in the air, followed by the enticing smell of meat. Her mouth almost watered from the thought of it. She hadn't eaten anything except dried apricots and peaches. And if there was smoke, there was fire, and if there was fire, there were alive people. Great! She started going to where the smoke seems to be, and it's going to a town that almost looks abandoned except for some buildings.
Hazel Therond (played anonymously)

The snap of a twig, the crunch of leaves under feet, human voices, the smell of smoke, random people wandering past... it was all being observed by the golden-blond haired woman perched on a high tree branch. For her, the prospect of joining up with other people wasn't so attractive. To say that Hazel wasn't a people person would be an understatement... she hated people. Gripping her bow in one hand with an arrow loosely nocked on the string, she stared at the place where she'd watched the refugees go earlier. Smoke, the promise of a warm fire, and the smell of food was alluring, even to her... but she remained in her place, observing the ground below her silently.

Occasionally, she glanced in the direction of the little village again... fighting the natural desire to seek food and shelter. She wasn't going there... nothing could convince her to go into that little damned village. The trees were safer... high above the reach of undead, and gave her a perch to aim from if undead were to show up. Shaking her head at herself, she muttered under her breath. "Better to stay here..." And so, she settled herself into a slightly more comfortable position on the branch, and waited a while longer.

(I'm also wondering.)
Theodice Envorou (played by Virtu)

(Wonder no more! The grasp of holidays is ended! :])

The shaking wheels of the covered wagon would cry only a short while longer. Only one last leg down the sloping hill, and they would at last find shelter.

Though fatigue weighed heavy on him, slowed his steps and tugged at his eyelids, Theodice rose higher in his gait, his hands pulling more insistently on the mule's reins. Excitement brimmed, and overflowed as his nostrils were filled by the smell of roasted meat. Food! It was like they had been waiting for him and prepared a feast! He had not had a slice of juicy meat since he left the ruined castle of Envorou! Drool slipped out the corner of his mouth, and he wiped it away swiftly.

A ragged red cloak clung to his shoulders, and the scaly belly of his pet, Wyse, slipped across his neck. The fyre salamander tasted the air, anticipation colouring the smoke of its nostrils green. Theo matched Wyse's expression with a growing grin of his own, and he pulled forward to the front of the group, coming to a stop at the stronghold's looming gates.

"Hail, friends! We come seeking shelter from the night! We have water, food, and strong, fighting men among us!" He called out to the wooden expanse. "Please, open the gates for us poor pilgrims!"

( Well that's good, but what about the others? )
Theodice Envorou (played by Virtu)

(Screw 'em! I mean that kindly. Let's keep on without 'em and work them in if they wanna join later?)
Hazel Therond (played anonymously)

(I have to agree with Theodice, there's no point in waiting months for people to reply... we could start and anyone who shows up in a few weeks can integrate themselves somehow.)
Mark von Drake (played anonymously)

( I agree with both of them, but this isn't my show so I'd like the "GM"s opinion on the matter. )

At the entrance to the town a group of men were speaking with people as they attempted to enter the area. It seemed as if everyone who entered had to endure a thorough look over by the group of guards, with a vareity of men, women and children actually being turned away from the shelter. Some were obviously injured, sickly or just too old to be of any use to the township it seemed. However, as they were turned away each of them were given small bags, presumably filled with food or useful items. The line-up to get inside seemed to stretch for a long time, there were at least a few hundred people trying to get inside.

When Mark had reached the gate two of the four guards stepped forward, one holding his hand out, palm toward the male. "Apologies sir, but before anyone is permitted entrance we must perform a search of you and your belongings. Any objections and you can take a bag and go." The guard was gruff, although not unkind. He noted the males attire with a silent approval.

The smell of the cook fire continued to spread into the air. After being in the air for a few moments the smell of woodsmoke and cooking veal. The guards along the walls kept a watchful eye on any and all people whom approached the wall. Each of those people approaching were directed toward the front gate for inspection.

The guards along the wall also kept a watchful eye on those that were direct to the front. Their hands rested on bows, with arrows nocked at the string, and ready to be fired at a moments notice, were any of those people making any moves that seemed aggressive or hostile.

Inside, all those that ha been accepted into the town were ushered into various houses, currently as if they were just trying to get everyone settled first before any type of introductions could begin. Once inside those whom had made it were handed large, bundled up rolls of linen and furs, being told that these would be their beds for their stay. They were free to make improvements upon them of course, but for now this was what they got.

The woods, which were not all that far from the village itself, was eerily quiet. No birdsong, no chirping of insects of croaking of frogs, no thumping noises as wildlife ran through the woods. Nothing. There wasn't even movement, save for the trees as the wind blew through them.

The Guards all blinked when they saw the covered wagon making it's way through the line of refugees. Almost immediately when the man with the mule had called out they just ushered them inside without question. The promise of strong, fighting men, and food was certainly a welcome one. Hopefully the owners of said wagon were not lying. Elsewise they would be thrown out. Regardless as they were ushered in they were led so that their wagon was set against one of the walls surrounding the village, wherein everyone inside was handed the same bundle of cloth an furs to keep them warm for the first night.

Watching as the refuges were greeted by guards by the gate he saw them giving people the run down. Well, it's the smart thing to do, they didn't want any disease spreading into the city and they couldn't support everyone so they had to turn down a few. Mark turned his head to see an old man with a sick child walk with somber looks of despair and a bag of food clutched in their hands. Frowning he turned to look back ahead of him.

He was greeted by two guards and stopped by one of them as he explained he had to be searched. Mark nodded at them, "Of course, do you need me to remove my weapons?", he asked and patted his bastard sword softly, assuring no foul play. Mark would comply to anything they ask of the search, "What's the name of this place?", he asks the two men before they search him.

His gaze caught on the people ahead receiving furs and he smiled in anticipation, at least he would be getting out of this cold.

(Sorry for taking so long, I'll be sure to have a reply by tomorrow! It's too late for me to write one up now at this time of day.)

As Angel would make her way towards the fortress of some sort, she breathe through her nose in order to find out what the area smelled like. There was something definitely being cooked inside of the walls ahead of her. With that encouragement in mind, she would continue to walk towards the walls. If all went well, then Angel would have nothing to worry about. She would finally be able to sleep at night without having to hex herself to cure the insomnia that she had in this world. The hex only worked half of the time as well, as she has yet to perfect it. Sometimes, she would feel cursed instead of being tired enough to turn off like a light.

She would glance around as she noticed that the people, who seemed to be the guards of this shelter, would be staring at her and a few other wanderers who managed to find the place. The timid little girl instead of Angel would awaken, and cause her to shake as she began to question why she came to this heavily guarded place. What if it was a trap for her to get killed? Would they even let her in, or would they deny her? What if...

...

No... I should go this time... Angel would think to herself. She had to face the truth. There was no way that a girl like her would be able to survive out there for so long. She was a coward when she was away from safety. It was a miracle that she had managed to stay alive for so long, especially alone. Without thinking about anything that would made Angel not want to go ahead and ditch back to the silent forest, she would begin to walk towards the walls more.

Soon, she found herself being escorted by some guards, she let out a small 'eep' when they appeared, but soon complied to follow them. They would leave her at the front gate, beside a man in cloak who was being searched at the time being. Angel would hold her hands tightly together in front of her, nervous for what her future may now hold with her new choice to try and get into the shelter. She just hoped it was for the best.
