The year is cosmic era 323 Its been three hundred years since the last natural/coordinator war and peace has flourished throughout the earth system, naturals and coordinators are working together. As the gigantic ship named the ZAEXC:01 Christopher Columbus reaches its final steps before the official launch of the ship, its mission is to travel to a nearby star system 13 light years away which was discovered by naturals almost four hundred years ago, the planets designation is Gliese 581-d. On board the Christopher Columbus is its captain Michael Richards who is a distinguished soldier for Z.A.F.T and a member of FAITH, this is his first time as a captain.

"What do you mean were not done with personnel they should've already been on this ship!" Captain Richards slammed his hands on his desk as he was informed by his executive officer "their are almost 240 people on this ship most of all mostly scientists and civilian contractors. Not only we've also got mechanical engineers to repair our mobile suits and the ship, and a hundred and fifteen soldiers and pilots"

A transport ship has recently arrived to the space port, heading directly to dock with Christopher Columbus. Alvina looks out the window, amazed by the size of the expansion class ship. It's her first time here. Her graduation from ZAFT academy was not long ago. At least half a year. Today is her first duty as a Red Coat, so what other people say about them wearing red uniforms. Slightly nervous to a place of unknown. The ship docks close to the expansion class ship and transfer goes underway. The crew is preparing to move Aeries Gundam as Alvina starts her way into the ship, to prepare to introduce herself to her superiors.

Inside the Christopher Columbus the halls were a very nice dark blue color with white lighting and a handle on the side of the wall to pull the ships crew to their designated areas, thanks to the artificial gravity on the ship they were just there in case of the gravity's failure, as well over the ship's intercom the communications officer was announcing that ship will be due to depart in approximately 48 hours from now.

Captain Michael Richards has moved from his ready room/office to the bridge of the ship to observe the incoming transport ships, thankfully the ship was designed to hold five transport ships in the docking bay adjacent from the mobile suit bay, Captain Richards was given a report along with new ship manifest's "come on people do you really think that supreme councilman Kira Yamato the third will clear us to launch,with our heads in the sand now get moving and finish loading the ship" Captain Michael Richards was still very furious at this crew for wasting time

Hearing there are 48 hours left, she heads to find her room first to settle down and put her stuff down. She sends a voice mail back to her parents at Ramona Workshop before heading to the upper deck to report her superiors. Her uniform is standard, paired with a miniskirt. She has an aura confidence around her.

She steps into the bridge of the ship. She salutes. "Alvina Ramona reporting sir"

Once Captain Michael Richards heard Alvina's announcement he turned and replied "welcome to the Christopher Columbus, how do you like it here so far?" He asked as the ship began to finish its preparations for the first and long journey out of this system.

Meanwhile in the mobile suit bay the crew was looking over all of the mobile suit specs and operation of the controls. Separate from all the other mobile suits was Captain Michael Richards personal mobile suit the ZGMF:X75CCS Honor gundam.

"It's my first time out here and boarding such amazing ship. It's really exciting." She slightly eases and lets her curiosity and excitement gave way. She doesn't seem to hold much on ranking as an important thing but regardless she still follows them as a rule. She looks onto the bridge room and the view out to the deep space. Heading to the unknown doesn't seem to give her fear or worry but something else.

"It is an amazing ship,it goes to speak for when all of human kind is threatened both ZAFT and the earth forces will work together" he says as he folds his arms behind his back, and continues "the Christopher Columbus has an onboard hydroponics lab,and many other things to support us on a long journey ahead of us. Have you met the other pilots yet?" He inquired just moments before the executive officer of the ship handed him a new tablet with what is finished and what still needs attention.

"Please excuse me" Michael told Alvina and turned to his ex-o "this is good now tell the loading crew to work on getting the rest of the supplies on the ship.then tell the engineering crew in the engine room to get moving on our hyperspace generator and program our coordinates based on the old data into the computer"

"Not yet. I came to introduce myself to you first since you are my superior. Though I think other pilots might know me already....from ZAFT Academy. I think it's probably my name...Ramona. Ramona Workshop is owned by my parents...so" She feels slightly uneasy. Probably embarrassed by the fact she might have privileges which she isn't seeking.

Still having his arms around his back he nods before replying "oh ok that's how I recognized the name.but you should realize that I run a tight ship if you have a problem follow the chain of command the ex o then myself"

"U-Um no sir! I have no problems with that. Pardon me. I'll head to meet the other pilots." She salutes and quickly heads out of the room, not wanting to disturb him anymore than she should. She heads down to meet the other pilots if nothing is needed of her. There is a gold necklace around her neck(forgot to mention that).

He salutes in return showing his respect and went back overseeing the bridge operations while sitting down in the captain's chair. Finally when the loading of the ship was finished and the ship was well stocked with food,medical suppiles,ammo and parts for the mobile suits Captain Michael Richards was alerted that ZAFT supreme council chairman Kira Yamato the third was on his way to the ship, Captain Richards began to make his way to the docking doors To await the arrival of the chairman, beside him was his executive officer Simon Reigns

She takes a deep breath and sighs, nervous on her first day of the job. Hopefully she did a good impression. She proceeds to find the other pilots, either in the break room or possibly the mobile suit bay. Hopefully nothing goes wrong.

Down in the mobile suit bay the pilots were looking over the enormous mobile suit bay as the mobile suit bay was capable of housing one hundred mobile suits. The commander of mobile suit squads was looking over the pilots on her tablet, her name was lieutenant Kari Daniels from the ORB Union.

Elsewhere on the ship Captain Michael Richards was speaking with his good friend the supreme council chairman Yamato the third, he did in fact look much like his grandfather in looks and build. The three was walking through the halls of the ship until they reached the mobile suit bay and Richards looked at his executive officer Simon Reigns "go to the bridge we will be there shortly" Captain Michael Richards said to him

"Wow....this place is huge. I wonder if my mobile suit is already here." She notices Kari Daniels, her superior in battlefield. She heads over and salute. "Alvina Ramona. It's my first time here. I'll be fighting along side with you." She shows her passion and will..... Orb Union....She still remember some left over Astray mobile suits back in Ramona Workshop. Outdated but still worth the while.

Lieutenant Kari Daniels salutes in return and replies "Hello Miss. Ramona yes you'll be assigned to a squad very soon once we get everyone's mobile suits loaded. At this time the maintenance crew is loading the zaku warrior mk2's. And captain Richards's mobile suit is already here. The rest of the pilots are in the mess hall eating".

Approaching the mobile suit bay was Captain Michael Richards and the supreme council chairman continuing his tour of the new ship " although most of our supplies are still in the process of being transported to the ship from outside sources" Captain Richards says to the chairman and he replies "they will be loaded. Also I have approved more supplies to be loaded and an additional one hundred to come on the ship...they will be on board by this evening" captain Richards just nods in return knowing that they must be negotiators for in case they encounter alien forces

"I see." Looking at captain Richards's mobile suit, she starts to be curious on the design and armaments on it. The design seemed familiar to one of the mobile suits she studied before: GAT-X207 Blitz Gundam. She, then, looks down onto the mobile suit bay, noticing Captain Richards and the chairman. She only knew him on the news and nothing more. "Isn't that the chairman? What is he doing here?"

Lieutenant Kari Daniels replied "it looks like the Captain is giving the chairman a tour of the ship". Captain Richards looked around the mobile suit bay as the cheif mechanic approached saluting the Captain and the chairman "sir we've finished loading the supplies and parts for the mobile suits" cheif Murdock told Captain Richards, Captain Richards nodded in satisfaction "thank you we should be ready to head out ahead of schedule then" and the chairman replied "that's great then we will get the launching ceremony ready

"What should I do now Lt. Daniels in the meantime?"

Lt. Daniels replied "look over the ship's systems and get acquainted with the operation of the systems. Their are books in everyone's quarters that explain them". Captain Richards began to walk back to the bridge to make an announcement over the intercom " attention attention we will be heading out by the end of the day, as such I encourage everyone to take the appropriate steps at this time. That is all thank you" and sat down in the captain's chair
