"Yes ma'am!" She salutes, then decides to head back to her quarters and look over the book before she starts for the mess hall. Hearing the announcement, she gives a slight smile. She hopes for something..... Something. But at the moment it isn't important. She tends to her duties first before her personal interest. She takes careful mental notes of the operation of systems and ship's system.

As the bridge comes alive so does the armory one space colony launching the Christopher Columbus into space. On board the ship the chairman's public broadcast is playing over the ship's monitors beside the chairman is president of the earth alliance and chairman of the ORB union.

The ship's plasma/nuclear engines began to ignite and the ship began to move heading towards mars to make a quick stop then further out

At the moment of launch, she looks at her necklace, rubbing it slightly. Remembering something. Only for a moment, however, she heads to the mess hall to get something to eat. And maybe to meet other pilots and make some friends along this long trip

"Everyone be advised we will be going into hyper space momentarily" Captain Richards announced over the intercom, just before the helmsmen on the bridge began to activate the engine, thanks to the sound dampening system around the engine no one on board the ship could hear the engine charging up

The engine is really quiet. That is something. She walks into the mess hall and gets her food first. Hopefully it isn't too bad and decides to sit at an empty table, that is if there is one. She doesn't feel much welcome. Not from her last experience at the academy. She gives a thought of approach but everyone seemed to be familiar with one and another here. She isn't sure on what to do....

The ship opens a hyper space window as the ship enters it out side the windows everyone could see streaks of light which were stars. Captain Richards tells the science officer "take over I'm gonna grab something to eat" he nods as the Captain stands up and walks off the bridge,at this time his executive officer is in his quarters resting.

In the mess hall Captain Richards walk in and notice Alvina sitting by herself grabbing his food he walked over "is this seat taken?"

She looks up and suddenly freaks out a little. Suddenly she stands up and salutes. "C-Captain Richards! Didn't see you there...um....no. Y-you're welcome to sit there..." She takes a breath to calm herself down.

He nods then replies "as you were" and sits down at the table and tries to have a conversation with her " so how do you like the Christopher Columbus so far?,have you found anything to do yet?" As he then takes a bite of his meal

She slowly sits back down. "It's just huge. The place is comfortable but I haven't find anything to do yet. Lt. Daniels is going to assign me into a squad soon. So, I look forward to meeting the other pilots." Slowly, she goes back to eating.

Captain Richards nodded and replied "yeah its big. The ship is primarily a research ship. But its does have defenses and offensive capabilities. And it does have a full range of activities to do just to keep us well relaxed" continuing to eat his tray of food

"Do you think we are going to find anything out there?" Her voice has gone distant and soft. A curious question.

He smiles still eating his food then puts his fork down "I think we will and the chairman agrees with me that's why we've got a quite an amazing team of pilots onboard. What do you think do you think we could find anything out here?"

She stops eating for a bit. Opening her mouth, no words comes out of it. A second passes then she says, "Hopefully something." She gives a soft smile. "Something that will open up onto the future."

"We don't know what's out there. But we do have a full team of people on board to handle that sort of thing" Captain Richards replies before he noticed that the ship dropped out of hyper space , "well it looks like ive gotta get back on the bridge now" Richards said as the announcement rang over the intercom "would the Captain please report to the bridge " .

The ship dropped out well before it was supposed to and was near the oort cloud and almost immediately detected a large sized planet in the cloud

"Take care sir." She salutes and finishes her meal after the captain leaves.

After finishing, she heads back to her room. Before she can make it there, she looks out at the window at the large oort cloud and the large sized planet. "Wow...." So this is space. The new frontier of humanity. The huge span of emptiness and mystery.

Upon reaching the bridge the Captain looks out the front window "wow" escaped his mouth then he asked the crew on the bridge "what's the status on the hyper drive engine?" They replied "the engine is ok its just a little warm.but we should be able to launch once again in two to three hours sir" the Captain nods "ready all combat crews and have the mobile suit teams stand by as well. And prep my gundam for stand by just in case". The bridge comes alive as they make the announcement for all hands to their combat stations and to prep for mobile suit teams to stand by

"Combat stations?" She hurries down the corridor to the locker room. She quickly dresses into her suit and heads down to the mobile suit bay. Taking a moment to find her mobile suit, she quickly heads to her gundam and put it into stand by. Hopefully nothing happens...She looks down at her necklace and takes a deep breath. She turns on the modules and double checks the system.

Lt. Daniels comes over their screens in the mobile suits "squad one will consist of Ramona. Reynolds, and kain. And squad one will remain on stand by till we jump back into hyper space". On the bridge executive officer Simon Reigns walked onto the bridge in his normal suit" sir please change into your normal suit I'll take over until you change" Captain Michael Richards nodded and went to change into his pilot's suit just in case. This was his first actual combat situation in forever ever since he was a red coat himself

She nods and replies, "Yes ma'me!". She double checks her systems, armaments, and equipment again to make sure it's working. Off to the side of the cockpit is a picture. A picture with her family and several of the technicians from Ramona Workshop.

As the ship drifts towards the planet sensors on board the ship were scanning the planet collecting data. At the same time the space based radar system was detecting little blips coming near the ship Captain Richards yells "on screen now show me those blips", as he says that the radar control woman ensign Mara Lynn began to detect weapons fire from the blips " sir their opening fire on us!",Captain Richards immediately yelled "launch all mobile suits!".

Lt. Kari Daniels came on once again " go go you are cleared to launch defend the ship. Your cleared to open fire on the unknowns" unknown to the ship the unknown forces were remnants of blue cosmos hiding all the way out here
