Sara burst through the doors of her college building with abnormal energy. Class had let out twenty minutes late and she was furious. Her daily brown eyes flashed with green as she glanced up at the fading sun. Do I have enough time? She sped up, ignoring the red traffic light and sprinting down the walkway amongst the angered honks and yells of drivers. fools, you'll be more surprised in a few minutes. The count down was hammering into her head, each additional second a lightening storm of pain dashing through her body.

Normally it crippled her.

Tonight it made her dash faster. Down another traffic section, proper lights this time, over a few bike railings, and straight into the closest set of bushes. A park right near the college was fantastic. She loved it, especially on the day like today. As the last few rays of sunlight gathered into the sky, Sara let herself go. Wings tore out of her back, clothing shredded, and it only took every fiber left in her being not to scream when the fangs grew out. Where a human girl use to crouch a nearly naked gargoyle lay curled behind the bushes.

I'll rest...here...just a little while. No one will see me.. With that, she fell asleep.

A large silver fox with nine tails and golden eyes walked through the park when the sun had finally set.She stepped with light paws as her silver fur seemed to glow.She had to be extra careful tonight for a lot of humans saw her for her glowing fur.She reached the middle of the park and let go of the energy she contained.The silver light lightened the entire park and almost made it look like a light show.When the light finally died down,the plant life through out the entire park had either bloomed or had grown.The fox let out a sigh,sat down and closed her eyes.

Christopher had been travel by roof top, jumping or gilding when needed. He had been near by when he saw a bright light engulf the park, then disappeared. He stopped watching, then decided to check it out. He ran towards the park, and when he got to the ledge he kicked off the ledge and opened his large grey wings. He gilded down towards the park, wondering what was that?

Lovi rummaged through the trash. Her cyan eyes squinted judgmentally at the empty and crumpled beer can before it was tossed over her shoulder and hit the pavement with a loud clanging sound. If she hadn't been passed out cold for almost all of the day, she would have been able to steal some food. The explosion in her makeshift lab had almost knocked her through a wall and scorched patches of her tattered clothes. She woke half an hour before sunset and cursed the world with a colorful array of insults and words bad enough to make even a sailor blush.

After the change it was impossible to effectively pinch a meal. She didn't blend in, standing over seven feet tall as opposed to her five nine as human. Even now, shrouded in the dark with a smelly old blanket cloaking her, she had to be careful.

After tossing old lettuce, snagging half an eaten hamburger and shoving it down her throat without tasting, ignoring the carton of curdling sour milk and debating a slice of stale, dry bread, she moved on. Her mind churned on what went wrong. Adding the blakkerleaves and santic mushroom powder should NOT have caused an explosion! Why didn't it simmer to a transparent color? Santic mushrooms need to be dried for it to work, fresh ones don't have the cloaking properties necessary for the potion to work... She rubbed her forehead. Even after all this time, the art of brewing potions eluded her. She was not an alchemist, and never would be. But what was her choice?

Was that a bright glow of light? The gargoyle blinked and squinted. If it had been there at all, she no longer saw it. Her sensitive ears did pick up the footsteps of a night time stroller, making her move quickly to the bushes and squatting there. It was just a young punk blasting music overly loud into his ears. Damn technology. It had turned the human race into a lazy and retarded species, unable to think for themselves anymore. She snarled but remained hidden, finding it a good spot to think. Entirely unaware that there may, perhaps, be someone else there with her.

Chris gilded over to where he had seen the light, near the center of the park. Once he got there he landed quietly, looking around. He spotted the punk listening to hiss head phones, and walked around him. Creeping as he went. What was he doing? He was risking the secret of his kind and for what? A light? He shook his head and kept walking, keeping to the cover of the bushes

A while ago Gargoyles turned to stone during the day, instead of into a human. So when a dazzling bright light flashed almost directly into her eyes Liza jerked away instantly with a growl. That in the world was that? Her first instinct was to look down at her hands. Still claws, good. Next she put those claws into her mouth, relieved that nothing had happened to her fangs, and gave both wings a shake. Still there. She breathed in relief. Unfortunately her next focus point was another Gargoyle.
What...? Using as much bush cover as she possibly could Liza crept closer to the male, waiting until she could reach out and touch him before she hissed: "What are you doing?! Did you cause that light?!"

The movement caught her eyes. They followed the shape until the male got to the bushes, and Lovi was surprised to hear a hiss of a female as well! Her lips curled into a smirk. "Look at what we have here," she said in a mingle whisper and growl. Sara's question did confirm the presence of a light, though! The punk was almost out of their sight again and she heard or saw nobody else for now. "Are we playing hide and seek?" Her voice was filled with a degrading mockery that probably meant she wasn't going to be friends with either of them.

The silver nine tailed fox heard the voices and opened her golden eyes.She stood up as her fur glowed silver.She walked toward the direction of the voices on light paws.When she saw the beings talking,the silver fox bristled,causing her fur to glow brighter and making her look like she was a ghost.Her nine tails started to move like snakes.She was slightly taller than the other beings she was looking at.

Chris's head turned when he heard them speak, he couldn't make out the words. He hadn't seen them yet, but jumped up, over top of the bushes and then fell back down on the opposite side of Loviatar (He doesn't know her name yet, just saying it to get more of an idea as to where everyone is) from Sara on one knee. He growled lightly. "What are you two doing here? Did one of you cause that light?"

At the far end of the park, cloaked in shadow and deeply asleep, a young mortal man in his mid-twenties, twitched. The motorcycle leaning against the bench he slept on and his apparent comatose state was enough to indicate he'd driven a ways to get this far. But the stirrings of the night were rousing Cody Wesson from sleep.

One leather jacket-clad arm dropped over the end of the bench and with a sudden start and a yelp, he fell to the ground with a thud. Fully awake, he looked around for the threat he knew was waiting for him--but didn't see it immediately. If anything, he thought there were a few more statues in the park than he recalled, but then his eyes were blurry and his paranoia was spiking.

He dropped a hand to his waist to check the status of his Smith and Wesson revolvers. They were present and accounted for. Feeling a bit surer of himself, he realized that something was amiss. Were those statues moving?

The silver fox began to get nervous.Without warning she created another flash of silver light.She yelped and tumbled out of the bushes,her nine silver tails thrashing about wildly.She lifted herself back onto her paws,her glowing silver fur dimmed slightly as the fox shook slightly.

Hide and seek? huh..good joke"What do you thi-" Sara began to snap, then paused, noticing the large glowing fox. She was utterly stunned. Her first instinct was to attack this creature, with those snakes coming out it it the fox seemed to be aggressive after all. Sara's snarl turned into a roar when the second flash of light hit her directly in the eyes, causing her to crouch in pain. Then the creature seemed to...fall? The female gargoyle was confused. Her head now hurt, and she was getting more angry by the second. Instinctively she turned to the other gargoyles. "Look we have to stop this thing from...flashing, or whatever it is doing. This is becoming too much of a distraction and I for one don't feel like dealing with a crowd of angry and confused humans tonight."

Chris covered his eyes when the second light burst happened. "Son of a..." He growled. He listen to what one of the two female Gargoyles said, then nodded. "Fine..." He turned his head towards the strange fox. "Any ideas on what to do with it though?"

The fox yelped in pain and collapsed again.Her fur grew dimmer.She forced herself to her paws,shaking violently.The fox almost stumbled and caught herself.She looked up to see the other beings looking at her.The fox's nine tails drooped and she lowered her head to show she did not want to hurt any of them.

The yelp drew Cody to his feet. Someone or something was getting injured and he hated it when bullies ganged up against a weaker target. He drew his leather jacket around him, hiding the pistols from sight, and headed for the ruckus.

What he saw, though, nearly stopped him in his tracks: an unnaturally colored fox with far too many tails, and just beyond it, moving figures. Gargoyles? He blinked as he stared. He hadn't seen gargoyles but for those decorations on Gothic architecture--stuff he'd never paid attention to because it had no bearing on him or his mission.

Still, seeing the fox outnumbered, he couldn't stand by and do nothing. He stepped out from behind a tree, just in time to hear the question and answer with one of his own: "Why don't you just leave it alone?"

The flash of light blinded her and made her eyes burn. A loud hiss and snarl escaped her before her blanket was hastily drawn over her face in protection. "Let's fry and eat it," she spat angrily at the two other gargoyles, her eyes flashing with a lack of compassion for a creature in need. Of course, just then some rather annoying human had to butt into their business!

She was still crouched and mostly hidden by the blanket when he showed himself. A humorless laugh rang through the air. "Boy, do you even know what you're up against?" She grinned. "I suggest you leave before you make matters worse."

Sara smirked despite herself, but shook her head anyway. "We can't eat it." She glanced at the human and snarled. "Great, just what I wanted to avoid, noisy and nosy humans!" Then back to the fox, who no longer seemed like it was going to attack.

"Thing looks like it's about dead anyhow." All but ignoring Cody, Sara knelt in front of the fox and reached out a clawed hand. "Hey there you annoying little light show. Are you done showing off yet?"

Chris looked at the human, "This has nothing to do with you human. Go now and never speak of this again." He turned his gaze to the woman gargoyle who spoke about eating it. "Were not gonna eat the thing, I want to move it away from the city, before any more humans see it. It hasn't done any harm to anyone besides about to fry our eyes with lights, so it doesn't deserve to be killed."

The silver fox looked at the being that had spoke to her.She wasn't usually the talkative type when she was in this form."I didn't mean to flash you.I just got nervous."The fox said in the mind of the being in front of her.

Chris opened his eyes with amazement. He slowly turned his head slowly towards the fox. "You...you can talk?"
