(Hope none of you mind if I cut in~)
"If you agree to hire me as well, I'll be looking after Aki then?" Lias asked, stepping out from his hiding spot behind Mary-Sue. He wore an old brown robe with a white belt and clasp around his neck. His hands were hidden, each slid into the opposite sleeve and making an usually large bulge beneath the fabric. He also had a peculiar smile on his face. "Pardon the intrusion, but I followed this woman in. She seemed to be causing quite the commotion and I wasn't certain if this place was under attack or not, considering what she did to your guards. As I was here to inquire about the job, I felt I should see she didn't harm anyone that would eliminate my chances for employment."
"Ah, but I haven't introduced myself yet. I apologize, I do have a bad habit of rambling at times." He said, giving Garrick, Aki and Catelyn a slight bow. "I am Lias Torrage, traveling priest. A pleasure to meet you all."

Was this a test? Something to make sure she was trustworthy? Mary-Sue's eyes flashed and she immediately stepped in front of Catelyn, one hand resting lazily on the hilt of her short sword. She did not attack, not at the moment, but if Lias made a movement he would not make it half a step before she reacted.
(Ah Please excuse my cutting in ="D )
Unlike the other who had slid out from behind Mary-sue, Ceri made herself known with only a slight cough to clear her throat. "If my skill is needed then you have only to ask." She spoke softly. She didn't find any reason to raise her voice more then what it had been.
She wore a chainmail shirt with a thick dyed-green hide breastplate, dark brown pants, and sturdy black shoes. "My apologies. for my rude introduction." she dipped her head slightly. "I'm Ceri of Neverwinter Woods. I chose to follow these two because it seemed that it would make for an interesting event to behold. As I've said before, if you have need of me then I'll gladly offer my skill to you."

Garrick jumped when yet another person decided to randomly waltz into his home. He huffed and turned to Mary-Sue and his daughter. “If you had been patient and not knocked out my guards I wouldn’t have multipul people walking into my home all at once without me inviting me in! Catelyn, my darling, you are free to go. Mary, escort my daughter to her room. Try to get to know one another since you two must stay close to each other!” he huffed as he quickly sat back down and took a swig of his drink.
Aki smiled but quickly covered his mouth to hide it. As much as he hated to admit it, but the frazzled old man was amusing to watch, as rude as it might be. Garrick didn’t noticed though and he turned his attention to the two new comers whose names he hadn’t even caught because he had been caught so off guard. “You two sit!” he demanded ever so slightly irritated. He sighed and waited for Lias and Ceri to seat themselves and also for Mary and Catelyn to leave the room before he continued on.
“Please for the sake of my sanity, reintroduce yourself, both of you. One popping up after another was just too much for me. Then to have my daughters guard freak out. Too much.” He grumbled looked over at them now waiting for them.

Catelyn looks at each person in turn when they speak. She looks to her father when he tells her that she may go then glances back at Aki and, seeing him cover his smile, she giggles lightly and turns to walk up the stairs to her bedchambers.
Once in there, Catelyn starts to pack her own clothes into her trunk. She walks lightly around her room in a dancing gait to pick one dress from the wardrobe and put it into her trunk. She hums to herself lightly and smiles as she dances, her dress flowing around her as she walks.

Lias kept right on smiling and doing his best not to laugh at how flustered Garrick was getting at the situation. Sitting down when told to, he was careful to keep his hands up his sleeves, not wanting to risk causing any more commotion. "I am Lias Torrage, traveling priest." He repeated. "A pleasure to meet you, sir."
Mary stood in the doorway of Catelyn's bedroom, arms crossed and shoulders resting relaxed on the frame.
"So the princess actually packs her own things?" She asked. Her tone wasn't insulting, or rude, but it was a little teasing.

Catelyn smiles at Mary. "I prefer to do it myself because I know what I want to take and how the trunk needs to be packed so I can have the stuff I want to wear first on the top," she giggles. "Plus, it gives me something to do so I don't have to be downstairs." She looks up at Mary smiling from her wardrobe. "So, tell me a little about yourself?" she asks as she walks from the wardrobe to the trunk.
"not much to say really." Mary-Sue extracted another stick with hardened candy on it and popped it into her mouth. The honey flavor was wonderful, and the young woman fell into silence to enjoy it. The entire time she remained slumped there, watching Catelyn as she packed. Her eyes were thoughtful, alert, and constantly checking the window(s).
Catelyn finishes packing in silence and turned to Mary-Sue. "We should go back downstairs and see who my father has found to join us," she smiles and walks towards Mary.
Garrick sighed and now focused his attention on the person who had spoke up first. "Now, Sir Torrage, what qualifies you for this job?" he asked rather interested in what this traveling priest had to say. "As important as it is to have a priest around I'm looking for body guards currently. I need men who will be able to take care of my daughter and the diplomat."
Aki looked over at the man too and wondered the same thing. He didn't look like much of a fighter which slightly concerned him, but at the same time he had seen some assassins whom he never would have expected. He looked the man up and down trying to figure out where he might have weapons and what styles of fighting he might know.

"As a traveling priest, I end up on the road alone quite a bit, and as you've obviously noticed I don't look all that threatening. Makes me a prime target for thugs after an easy mark. Fortunately, my superiors and I foresaw this problem." Lias said, the rasp of metal on metal sounding as he took his hands from his sleeves. On each one was a gauntlet with a curved blade that started at the wrist, went over the back of the hand and finally came to a point three inches past where the tips of his middle and ring fingers met. "I've had quite a bit of training and experience in combat with these, having fought off more than my share of would-be bandits."
Carefully pulling off his right gauntlet and setting it on his lap, he reached into his robe and removed a pouch from it. "I'm also well-versed in herbs, have to be when normally working alone. I can make things like salves for cuts, remedies for the sick, antidotes... even a few poisons if the situation arises."

Aki smiled and nodded silently, mainly to himself. He was rather impressed with the priest. He was sure the man wouldn't purposely try and fight someone seeing as he was a priest and encase something happened to one of them, having a healer of some sort would come in handy. He turned to Garrick who continued to look at the priest skeptically. Aki took the chance to try and convince the man, "Come now Garrick. I think he is perfect for the spot to protect me, although I haven't heard what this other woman has to offer. He has short ranged attacks and certainly knows hand to hand combat. He would remain with me while the other guards fought unless they came to him." Garrick listened to Aki and nodded slowly. His reasons made sense. Aki continued on seeing that the man wasn't entirely convinced, "And what if something happens to one of the guards, especially Mary-Sue? Having a healer would certainly be a big benefit."
Jut the mention of his daughters protection swung Garrick's decision. "That is very true. I shall accept you then. I'd like to hear what this woman has to say though before I begin discussing the payment." he said as he turned to Ceri now waiting for her.

The elven girl dipped her head in a bow from where she sat. "My name is Ceri, I'm a fighter from Neverwinter Woods." she raised her head now though still did not make eye contact with the older gentleman. "I am not so impressive as this good father here." she motioned with her hand to Lias. "But I am confident in my skill with sword and shield. I've already seen the success of two major assignments that required use of swordplay and aid of many minor captures of criminals within cities." she still refused to look the lord in the eyes but she offered a small smile. "I do know some trapping skills and my way around woods if that is of any use as well."
(Hey sorry for being late, I didn't know you guys were doing this already, I misread the rp discussion form)
A large man came barreling into the hall. "Wait sorry I'm late!" He yelled as he entered. once inside he bent over, using his spear as a support, and started to pant. He wore steel armour with blue trimmings. The armour was Greek was style. The armour covered most of his body, only showing his biceps and a bit of his face. He had a long spear in his right hand,a short sword in his waist band, and a large claymore on his back "I got lost..." He straighten his back after catching his breath. "I am Sgt. Trevor Henderson from the Blue wolf platoon. I heard there was a mission to be had." He took off his spear in his left hand, and then removed his helmet to show his face and head. He had dark brown eyes and dark short brown hair. "I hope I'm not too late..." He said looking around. "And sorry for rushing in, but a lot of the guards were unconscious so I thought the worst until I found a guard who explained everything. So I'm sorry once again, is there still room for another fighter for hire?" He asked looking at the people in the hall.

Catelyn walks back into the room and walks up to her father. Smiling and giving his cheek a kiss, she sat back down in her chair and looked at the new people. She continues to smile as she looks over at Aki and at Mary-Sue who had followed her.
Mary-Sue had followed her only until the doorway, where she stopped. Mary liked doorways, doorways were cool. She glanced up, checking the frame above her, before leaning against it to her left.
"This room certainly got a little more croweded in the span of a few minutes. Are you sure you'll be able to pay all of us...sir?"

Garrick was about to say something to the Ceri woman, whom wouldn’t look at him and that slightly, bothered him. It made him vaguely suspicious that she was hiding something. It was hard to tell with warriors how much experience they truly had until you saw them fighting. Before he could speak though, yet another person came barreling through the doorway. Garrick quickly became flustered again though as the man explained himself he calmed down slightly. “Come and sit sir. Name yourself and tell me of your skill but before that,” he said quickly turning to look over at Mary-Sue, “I am tired of your sharp tongue. Hold it before I decide to let you go. I hired you for your skill not your knowledge and wit. On top of that my ability to pay is none of your concern. “
He clearly was irritated with the woman and her words. He was irritated with her not only for knocking out his guards but also for the constant jabs she threw out there. “You will speak only when I ask that of you so long as you are under my pay. That goes for all of you.” He growled looking at every single one of them. He was about to continue on yet another little rant when Aki leaned over and lightly placed his hand on the elderly man’s shoulder.
“Sir, I do wish to ask you stay focused on the hiring of fighters for the trip.” He said softly knowing the man was about to go off on some tangent. Garrick huffed once or twice before he sat down.
“Catelyn, dearest, would you mind going off and finding one of the guards elsewhere and resting that they have others come in to replace the unconscious ones,” he said shooting a glare at the woman he thought to be very uncivilized and then looking back at his daughter with soft caring eyes, “and please get me a mug of water.” All his words were soft with his daughter unlike the words he used with everyone else.

Trevor turned his head at the woman who the man was yelling at, giving her a look over, then turned his head back to the man. "Ah yes, I am Sgt. Trevor Henderson of the Blue Wolves mercenary group. I came after hearing about a job to be had." he looked at the other people in the room, resmused talking. "I have had roughly six years of fighting, although the first two were training. I have fought anything from bears to cannibals. You name it I've fought it." He said, then walking to the table, and placing the helmet on the table. "If you take me on this quest I will do what I am told without question." He said finishing his sentence. He stood beside the male on his side of the room.
(Before reading this post please understand this is by no means reflects me as a person. This is how Mary-Sue would react in the situation. Also, if she gets fired/walks out, that does not mean I'm going to have Mary leave the roleplay. Please do not feel ill at will because of this post.)
Mary-Sue's eyebrows disappeared into her hair at the harsh words of her employer. She coughed to get his attention, then rubbed the back of her head. "Umm, well, you see. Actually your ability to pay is absolutely and entirely my concern." She jingled the coin purse as her side. "Hear how low that sounds? Yeah that means I need more coin to survive. This isn't about you letting me go, SIR, this is about keeping me here. And until you've actually put money into my pocket, you haven't hired me."
She smirked,
"And my 'sharp tongue and wit' kind of go with the job." With that, the young woman spun on her heels and made to leave the room.
