Shawn pressed the button on the elevator to go up. It was like any other day except this time he was in a random building following a strange K-9 scent. Those weremutts always smelt the same... like wet dog.
The blue-eyed and brown haired vamp whistled in the crowded elevator getting weird looks from business men and women. Bet they're wondering who this guy is, breaking the silence in the air they normally have. One mature lady looked at him weird but all he did was wink and smile. She quickly turned her face towards the front, a blush creeping over her cheeks.
"Whoever is wearing that perfume smells gorgeous" he leaned over to a guy next to him and whispered "Dude, i think the old chick next to me just farted..." The man looked back at him in disgust and the lady besides him gasped.
*Ding* "Oh that's my stop, have fun you party animals!" He smiled as he stepped out and into a corridor, he turned around and waved the people goodbye as the doors shut.
"Alright doggy, I know you're here and i know your intentions..."

"Mommyyyyyy!" The wail of a small child tore Kate's attention away from her phone call for a moment as she looked down to the child clinging onto her jeans.
"What is it?" She asked, her green eyes full of gentle and motherly kindness as she set the phone aside. "Is something wrong, honey?" Kneeling down to her daughter's level, she took the little girl's hands into her own.
Half of a yellow crayon was held up for her to see. "My yellow crayon broke..." Whimpering, the small girl was on the verge of tears over her broken favorite crayon. In some ways, she was a tiny mirror image of her mother, with matching light green eyes and similar features, but unlike her blonde haired mother, she had pretty brown hair that was tied up in pig-tails.
"Oh no... I'm sorry." Kate hugged her gently. "I promise that next time I go out, I will get you a new one. Okay?"
Sniffling softly, the little girl nodded her head. "Okay. Promise?"
"Promise." Kate kissed her forehead gently. "Until then, how about you find something else to do? I have to finish this phone call before I can go out, okay?" Letting go of her, she stood up carefully.
"Okay." Wiping her eyes, the little girl ran off to find something else to do, her crayon still firmly in her little hand.

"Let's see where you are..." Shawn sniffed the air, there's more than one werewolf "Oh, there's more, well a party is always nice" people littered the rooms on a busy day like this. A fight between wolf and bat would be very unwise before human eyes. A little alarm will do the trick.
A hooded man stared at the child from across the room, he waited for an opening. Shawn stopped in the doorway and looked around, randomers glancing his way not thinking twice about if he's human or not, why should they? monsters don't exist apparently. He spotted his target, the hood. He gave off the scent, no doubt... but there's also two more.
Shawn sat at a seat besides Kate but still hadn't realised she's a werewolf. "Werewolves give dogs a bad name..." Shawn sighed. From what Shawn's gathered, the hood is staring down the little girl.
*Sniff*
"The girl is definitely a target" Kate wouldn't know what Shawn meant... nevertheless if Shawn doesn't move faster than the wolf then he'll have a serious problem, especially the mother of the child.
"Sprinklers, perfect diversion, less stragglers that way" Shawn whispered getting up "The third mutt will definitely turn up, dog's hate baths right?" One way to find out, He pulled the fire alarm lever causing the sprinklers to go off.
As soon as the crowd gathered to leave, the hooded man made his move "Not so fast furball" Shawn said under his breath with a smirk. Navigating the crowed quickly the hooded man grabbed the child's shirt but before being able to make a move, Shawn grabbed the hood's arm.
Eventually the last of the humans left the floor leaving only Shawn, the hooded attacker, the child and Kate all of whom are soaked through and through. Both the attacker and Shawn stare each other dead in the face, the attacker was surprised somone caught him.

Oblivious to the threatening stranger, or the person who sat next to her, Kate finished up her phone call, muttering incoherent profanities at whoever was on the other end. "I said no and when I say no, I mean no." She was telling this person for the millionth time, that she would not go to join their pack of strangers. If she was going to join any pack, it would be her old one, but they still hadn't given her approval.
"Well you see, this time, we're going to give you a little incentive..." The voice on the other said started to say.
Then, the sprinklers suddenly dumped water into the room, and she dropped the phone. "Hope?" Looking around for her daughter in the crowd, she tried to navigate to where she'd last seen the little girl.
As the stranger grabbed her, the little girl screamed and started wailing. "Mommmyyyyyy! MOMMMMMMYYYYY!" Kicking out at both men, the little girl tried to get free from the grasp of the hooded stranger.
Hearing her daughter's cries, she changed directions and started shoving past people to reach where the two men and her little girl were. The room emptied out, leaving her standing there in a pair of dripping wet jeans and a green shirt, her blond hair in her face as she spotted the two men and her daughter. "What are you doing to my daughter?!" Hell hath no fury like a mother wolf whose baby has been snatched... and Kate was furious.

The hooded man grabbed the latched arm Shawn had on him and snarled "Get off" anger in his voice as he threatened Shawn.
Shawn tutted in reply "Heel boy" he smirked, bringing a clean right hook to the attacker's face. The hooded man stumbled backwards towards the windows with Hope still gripped in the other hand "Your daughter? that... makes sense actually" Shawn replied to Kate. Before he could say anything else though his attention turned to the hooded man who, now in his wolf form, shattered the window and held Hope over the edge hanging for her life "Wow wow, easy there pup, that's definitely not the safest move for you, let her go, me 'n you can fight for her" Shawn said approaching the werewolf ever so slowly "If you beat me, do what you want with them, if you don't, i kill you"
"There's no point" the werewolf replied in a deep beastly voice "Especially since i have no clue what you are... your scent is different" He loosened one finger on Hope's shirt "She needs to learn her place" He said loosening another "This should do it" all fingers loose, Hope fell from high atop the building. Shawn charged for the window, diving over the edge. Hope screamed for her life but at least she saw Shawn approach fast as they fell. Wrapping both arms around her he spread his bat-like wings and kept them both floating in mid air "You're safe kid" He said softly with a smile "Hold tight kid" Shawn slowly brought them back to the same floor as the lady and the attacker.

"Put my child down!" Kate didn't pay much attention to the stranger who wasn't holding her child. Her eyes were fixed on the hand holding her child, but when she moved to try to grasp her daughter, the man stumbled back, hit by the other. And then he smashed the window open and dangled Hope out of it. "No! PUT MY BABY DOWN!" She couldn't help but snarl angrily and take on her own wolf form.
Hope was crying, squirming in his grasp and trying hard to twist around and bite him.
But, before she could attack, the man had dropped Hope. "NO!" Running to the window, Kate shoved him aside, watching the stranger leap after her daughter. Her heart sank as she saw her baby falling, but she turned her full wrath on the stranger who'd dropped her, launching herself at him, claws out and ready to tear into him. The two grown wolves tangled with each other, claws and teeth tearing into fur and flesh as they tumbled across the room, locked in vicious combat.
Hope's panicked screams as she fell faded into helpless sobs as the stranger caught her in his arms. "Mommy! Mommyyy!"

Shawn slowly drifted to the room with Hope in his arms. Kate absolutely went to town on the attacking werewolf, certainly nothing for a child to see. He quickly shielded her eyes "Erm, mommy is busy at the moment, just don't look little one" he said putting her down in the corner of the room. Shawn made sure she didn't look by covering her with his red leather jacket "This will keep you safe from the mean man, make sure you don't look or he will spot you!" he chuckled.
Shawn's wings pressed up against his back and slowly faded away as he turned to the 2. There was a brief moment where the attacker werewolf and Kate split from each other, he used that moment to strike. The wolf lunged at her from a fair distance but as he got halfway towards her Shawn drop kicked him into the nearby wall. "Take a time out!" Shawn laughed as he lay on the floor "oh and miss, your kid" he smiled at her still on the floor pointing at Hope "I think she wants her mommy, but make it fast 'cuz we gotta jet. There's a lot more werewolves on the way"
