Merrick decides to heads towards the group, wanting to disperse them if they are forest bandits. He keeps one hand firmly on his sword hilt as he trots over on his horse. "Ho there! What is your business around these parts?" he shouts once in earshot.
Shasta is a little thrown off by the girls remark and instinctively looks around, trying to spot who is watching them. He's about to ask where the person is when he's interrupted by a voice, a little ways back from him. He spins around towards the direction of his group and then looks quickly back at the girl. "I really need to be getting back to the group, you're welcome to join us if you wish." He gives her a small smile and waits for her reply.
The Figure's mandible clicks as it flexes is jaw. The corners of its mouth curve upwards into a sickening smirk, tongue lapping around the scarred lips. It leaps to another branch, making sure to keep in the leaves, as to remain hidden. Occasionally, they may hear a cackle, or a discerning screeching sound. The crack of a branch. The rattling of chainmail, scratching against plate. But all of these sounds would be faint, and audible to only a well trained ear. Still, the situation remained stoic. No sign of onclimbing threat.
Yet.
Yet.
Frost freezes " Quick everyone on guard the trees tell me some one is here to hurt us!!!!!"
Shasta stops walking and turns around to look at the girl, he's not exactly sure how he should respond to her sudden outburst. "We're almost to the group." He says turning back around and pointing to the figures that are just now within eyesight. He's more cautious now, keeping in mind what the girl has said but he remains for the most part, calm.
"Why do you think there is danger?" He ask casually while he continues to start walking again.

"The...the trees tell you...?" He mutters mostly to himself. Did she have something to do with magic? He wasn't familiar with magic. Magic was a very taboo thing where he grew up, anything or anyone that had magic would be either executed or banned. But Shasta was always curious about magic and he owned a few books on the subject, even though he could easily be put to death for owning them.
He glanced at her briefly. "Are you human?" He ask rather abruptly, his curiosity taking the best of him.

" I am not.....I am what you might call a......woodland spirite ...or as you blatantly call it....a fairy...this isn't even my real age......" She quickly and suddenly grows taller into a beautiful young woman with ice blue eyes and Snow White hair....
He looks at the ground in confusion. A fairy? He thought, He had read about those in his books and always thought they were just a myth.
He then looks back up and is startled to see a grown woman. He blushes lightly, realizing he had been treating her like a child. He wants to ask her tons of questions but the sun is almost completely down, his hands have become numb along with the tip of his nose and all he really wants to do is get back to the group.
They still have a bit more time to talk before they reach the group so he ask a question. "Are there other fai- umm sprites that live here?" He says quietly, thinking he heard a sound in the trees. He felt a wave of uncertainty, like something was watching them, and that something didn't seem like it was wanting to make friends. He shifted uncomfortably at the thought.

Along their travel through their wood, they'd find an... Unsettling sight. An Elk, bull in size, and evident through the large antlers brandishing it's fur laden cranium... Hung by the throat, a noose made of thorned vines, from a branch. It's throat and nape were mangled from struggle to release itself. Nearby, two young fawn bray, looking to what could only be seen as their deceased father figure. The snow under the buck was red with blood, stained with the cruel act.
Frost waves her hand and the vibe unwraps and the deer drops to the ground and quickly faded into a patch of grass before being snowed over " rest in peace " she stated before huggin the two fawns that seem calm in her grip
Shasta frowned at the sight of the Elk hanging and was slightly amazed by the fairies ability to make it disappear. He glances over at the two fawns that were currently being held by the woman. He'd have to introduce himself and learn her name when a better time was provided.
He starts looking around the area. "I wonder how that happened..." He mumbles while trying to piece together possibilities.

" their is a threat to my home....i must alliminate them" she seemed rather angry
I open my eyes and I was blinded by sunlight. I found myself outside in the forest and not in my bed. I got up only wearing my night clothes which was only a soft leather shirt and some linen pants.
Shasta looks over at her. "Don't do anything irrational." He says quietly, not entirely focused on talking. Someone could have been hunting...but why would they set such a barbaric trap?
I looked over to my right and I started walking sloppily and hazily. Had someone slipped something into my drink? Had someone tried to assassinate me but failed and therefore put me in here? I didn't know but I sure did care. I reached for my pocket and felt a sharp prickle and pulled out a small steel dagger. At least I had some sort of protection.
I walked to the far edge of the never ending forest. I sat down on a fallen tree probably infested by termites. I sighed and I started to ponder as I carved my initials into the tree with my steel dagger so that somebody would find it and know I was here.
The Figure watches closely, pale eyes glinting some. That's when it stands up, and gives a screech. It was farther away, therefore somewhat mute, yet still in earshot of those occupying the forest. It was uneasy and high pitched, like the Banshee's of the children stories. The sun was still ever setting, as night crept upon the travellers. The Figure continued to tail the Faerie-Spawn, and her companion. The Hunt Has Begun.
