An radio frequency originating from an lesser used radio amplifier comes onto the local radio.
"Hello? Can you he-... *clears throat* Charlie Forward 63. My name is Sergeant Skylight, and if you are hearing this then I require your assistance. My location is two klicks due northwest of the radio amplifier. Look for the smoke. Message repeats in 3. *click*"...
"Hello? Can you he-... *clears throat* Charlie Forward..."
As mentioned, it repeats. It struck those who heard it as odd because noone lived near the amplifier it was coming from. Most assumed it was a stray military signal, and considering the formal voice and strange wording, it was. Plus, noone was willing to venture out into the unknown and potentally dangerous canyon. Stories say those who go in rarely come back out.
But there is the question, will you investigate?
