Artair watched him jump then looked around, seeing no way around, he sat on the ground, and took off his boots, and shin guards. Placing them on the pile of timber, he picked up the stuff and jumped into the water. He crossed, only getting his legs wet, then got to the other side and jumped out. "Easy way is often the best..."He said started to wipe off the water on his legs. He then put on his boots, and looked at the girl. "So what now, our fearless leader?"
Her eyes followed the newest of the group as he seemed to glide across the river. Her mouth dropped. "You..arn't completely human are you?"
Then there was a splash beside her, and the sound of timber and armor clanking onto the ground.
She arched an eyebrow. "Now we get more timber, as you got what I gathered all wet." She eyed the now damp wood in curiosity. "Its only a little damp though...so maybe..." Her hand wandered towards the small bits of timber at her side.

Artair's eyes widen, he quickly got to his feet, and lunged out of the way, "Just wait for me to get to a safe distance!" He yelled
Arka ignored her comment about him, rubbing the back of his neck as he turned to now damp timber. In all reality it wasn't that wet. He took a cautious step back when he saw Artair jumped and hide, she must be an untrained magic user. "Are you going to blow it up?" he asked quizzically, wondering if perhaps he should take more than one step back.
Shita huffed, "No, I'm not. He was all about me starting fires last night, but now nooooo? It isn't like he's ever actually seen me blow something up." In annoyance she glanced at Artair. "Last night was different. We were surrounded by rain, which would have made it harder to control the fire. But fine." She raised both hands over her head. "Go ahead, find more timber if your so afraid." "Baby.." she muttered underneath her breath.
Arka chuckled a bit, "Light it, miss Shita." he said, curious about her powers now.
"You said yourself that you're not that good with fire." Artair said, circling around her to stand a bit behind
She was still grumpy, but returned her attention to the timber. Fire was...difficult...for her to learn and control. The young woman knelt before the damp wood, and placed her hand above the open jar with twigs inside and concentrated. One single leaf poofed into flame, and she drew it out. The fire was only large enough to cover her pointer finger at first. She took a breath in, held it, and on the exhaul slowly spread the flames to her middle finger as well.
Now that she had a medium sized flame, Shita slowly graced it over the wet timber. Each stick sizzled warmly in the sunlight, steaming the bits of water into the sky. She was taking her time, going over small sections of the timber to get each bit dry without having to extend the flame any further.

Arka was impressed with her control, she had what it took to be a good magic user. He remained quiet until she was able to catch the wood on fire.
The best way to explain what happened next would be to say that her mind slipped. Much like when a foot slips and the entire body falls with it, as did Shita's ability to control the fire. Flames caught the largest parts of the timber and roared up into the sky. She flinched, covering her face with both arms, and leaning back slightly. She yelped, as the flamed shot up another few feet, then returned to an average height. She did not get hurt, but the girl was shaking.
Arka frowned some, and jumped back as well. "You're trying too hard." he said, trying to be helpful. "You have to relax completely, treat it like an everyday thing."
Artair peered over her shoulder, looking at Arka. "You know of magic?...you're not going to threaten to set me on fire as well right?" He joking, then placing a hand on Shita's shoulder. "Don't worry, I'm sure you'll get it sooner or later..."
She looked at the now crackling fire forlornly. "It is my biggest trial. The other elements I've pretty much got...just not fire." She sighed, then brightened almost instantly. "But we have something to cook with now, all we need is to catch the fish!"
Arka rubbed the back of his neck, shaking his head slightly. This girls attention span and mood swings were out of this world. "Well I'm a horrible fisher."
"Well, I guess that leaves me..." He took the stick that Shita had used before for pole vaulting, then took out his dagger and started to sharpen the end. "Give me a few minutes...I'll see if I can get us some tasty fish..."
Shita sat by the fire, partially paying attention to each of her new companions. "Hey...Arka was it? You travel around a lot right? Have you been near any battle fields lately?"
Artair was busy trying to spear some fish so he wasn't listening to what was being said. He was having a bit of hard time, but he did one good size one, tossing it onto the ground, far enough away so it wouldn't flop back in and went back to trying to catch more
"Battlefields?" Arka asked, sitting down by the fire as well but across from her. The fire lit up his face, and made his eyes look a deeper red. "Nah, I'm much too delicate to get near any battlefields." he grinned.
Artair came up to the fire with five fishes. "Dinner served kids." He said dropping them on the ground, then sitting down, and he started de-bone the fish. "In just a few minutes..."
"You take out the bones first?" She asked curiously, watching him. "I've always scaled them, then cooked the reset and picked out the bones later, how interesting." She hadn' responded to Arka's yet, though she had looked slightly disappointed. "I guess you wouldn't know then..What about you Artair, have you been by any battlefields lately?"
