"I can't..." She cried more as she barely said the words, "She's dead."
She kept her eyes shut tight. She didn't dare look at his face.

he struggled to understand what she just said. she....no...that was horrible. nothing he could say could help. he knows that....but perhaps something he could SHOW her might. if anyone would understand, it would be her.

"you may not believe me but...i know how you feel...i...i...i also lost family before."

he moved from the bench and knelled in front of her.

"i know that may not ease the pain, but you have someone who understands. and i can show you how i understand"

"How?" She said. She still didn't look at him.

"i...i...killed my mom and dad."

something he never admitted for years...and he just says it like that? her face...she doesn't believe it. guess it's time for the show

"listen, can you please look at me..so you can understand?"

She slowly opens her eyes...
Tears are filling her eyelids and more threaten to fall down her face.

" i k-killed my parents in an accident"

he raises hand so it is in the air between them.

"i am a freak...i have to hid from people the best i can. but before i do this...promise you won't freak out?"

he asks in a pleading voice. he really wants her to understand they are not so different.

She nods...
~Maybe...he's just like me...~ She thinks to herself.

Ion opens the palm of his hand, and after a moment, a soft blue aura comes from it. a ball of energy swathed in lightning is now in the palm of his hand while his eyes are now glowing an incredible blue glow.

"this...is why im a freak. this..is the power that k..killed my..."

stops for a second to collect himself.

"..my family. im tormented everywhere i go...called a freak and treated as such...and i have to live with the guilt of what i have done..."

he powers down and the soft blue glow from his hands and eyes vanish.

"so believe me...please believe me when i say that i understand"

"I get it. I understand. I have powers like that too." She says to him.
Her eyes glow blue and she makes a snow cloud appear beside her and it starts to snow from that cloud.
"I get it." She says.

he was surprised. what just happened? this girl just created a snow cloud...she also has powers?

"you..."

a temporary loss of words.

"that's incredible!. how..how long have you been able to do that?"

"Since I was born."
She says.

a small smile appears on ions face.

"you do understand"

after a brief pause, his face falls.

"wait...you never told me WHAT you where running from"

"I was running away from the fact that I killed my sister... I thought running away from my feelings would help..."
She says as she looks away again.

"i get it. you can't go back...can you?"

he said with a sad look on his face

She shook her head.
"I can't go back... I have nothing to go back to...It was just me and my sister on our own..."

just her and her sister? this girl has it rough....she's probably used to being alone and getting no help...but maybe i can show here that people can be nice.

"hey, are you hungry?"

he asked, hoping he could make her feel better.

"No...not really."
She said.

"oh, well...do you have a place to stay?"

She shakes her head. Eventually the snow cloud evaporates and her eyes go back to normal.

"how about you come stay with me for a while?"

he said with a sincere smile on his face.

"you don't need to suffer...and i could use the company"
