Shadow was smiling. She had actually slept better than earlier...

ion smiled as he thought to himself.

'good, at least she didn't have another nightmare and cry again'

She awoke...she opened her eyes to see Ion not too far away from her face...

"....good morning"

"Good morning." She said and smiled a little.

"i hope you slept better"

he said, trying to ignore the fact that her face was only three inches away, just to avoid awkwardness

"I did." She said.

"that's always good"

he thinks to himself.

'why isn't she trying to move, she's a shy girl...she dosen't like closeness....right?'

She stayed there... "I haven't had nightmares since I was 6." She said.

this actually concerned him

"really?...do you know what caused it?"

"Yeah...My brother was messing with me..." She said.

"brother?"

he tries to turn his head to look around. seeing no one, he turns back.

"what do you mean brother?"

"I thought you meant what caused it when I was 6...my bad. The thing that caused the nightmare I just had was a wolf...I saw one before I met you...Sometimes I can hear it growling..." She heard it. "There it is..." Her ears went flat against her head in fear.

his eyes snapped fully open

"you can hear it? where?!"

She listens closely... "It's coming from outside..." It gets louder. "It's getting louder."

ion immediately releases shadow and jumps to his feet. he wasn't about to let some wolf hurt her. he tries to hear wear the wolf was outside...

The growls multiply as if there is more than one... "There are more...More wolves..." She begins to get scared...

this was unusual...a whole pack? how? why?.....realization hit like a brick. last night! while walking around he must have caught the attention of the wolves! he felt sick to his stomach. he looked back at shadow...he had caused this to happen...he clenched his fists. if he caused this...he was gonna fix it.

"stay here...i'll take care of them."

"Be careful..." She says to him.

"i will."

he carefully opened the front door to make his way out before slamming it shut, ensuring that the wolves couldn't get in. he walked around the house to see four wolves growling at the window to the bedroom.

"HEY!"

Ion called to the mangy dogs, to which they responded with turned heads and barred teeth.

"your problem is me"

he said as his fists glowed with an intense blue aura.
