"she means that you won't know she's there till she talks."

he says with a smile and a playful nudge to shadow

"I'm sure." She says and tips her head towards him as she closes her eyes slightly.

Vermillion was dumbstruck, Shadow has completely rejected his offer to tell her everything he knows about himself and the Great Spirits. He then realize that she's really being very modest with him, and now feels somewhat guilty asking all of those questions...even though she DID ended up getting a little information about Orica. After a moment of Shadow's response, Vermillion slumps down on to stare down at his legs for a bit before he started to chuckle for a bit. After a few more seconds has passed, that chuckle turned into laugher for a bit before he started to calm down.

"My, my, madam. You truly are a incredible saint... I'm no match against lady of your caliber when it comes to such shameless modesty. I gracefully admit defeat as I can't match, or even surpass, such kindness. If I would have a say, though it is a slight tibit that I was going to reveal about myself, even if you were to use your mind-reading ability on me in order to get information out of me, it'll be very difficult to do so as my mind is a bit more special than a human's mind." said Vermillion

"I do not deserve such compliments...such praise...I'm truly not worthy..." She says.

"you're worth far more than you give yourself credit for shadow"

ion said with a quick hug

She smiled. "Thank you." She said.

"Even you now reject my praise because you really think that you're not worthy? You really are truly a one-of-a-kind... I've met many people in these vast lands, but you are by far the most interesting person that I've ever come across in ages... I just don't get it, you're really a strange one, but at the same time I just can't help but to like that about you...for some strange reason..." said Vermillion

Vermillion then gets up as he then rubs Shadow's hair gently without touching her cat ears.

"Don't say that you're not worthy of such praise. You helped me out that one time despite me saying that I didn't want your help. You're probably one of the nicest person that I've ever known outside of Alexcia." said Vermillion smiling very happily

After a while, however, Vermillion stops petting Shadow as he then turns around with his back against her.

"Or maybe that you don't really trust me? Despite you saying that I'm nice and that I mean no harm. I really have to wonder if what you said earlier was really truth or a lie to let my guard down?" said Vermillion

feeling a change in the situation, ion gets up and stands between shadow and vermillion

She seemed shocked by this. "Why would you think that? I do trust you." She says.

"Really now...? Hmm...I wonder..." said Vermillion

Vermillion then turns around slowly as he then summons out a long, but thin, tail flame on his right hand.

"What if everything of what I was doing was a complete and utter lie, just so I can get to know you? Maybe that stunt I pulled earlier was just an act for you two to take pity on me. More importantly, your power, I'm sure we can find a very good use of your talents for either us, or someone else." said Vermillion with a mischievous smile "And don't think you can try and stop me, Ion. Even if it's two against one, I still have a few tricks up on my sleeve to get what I want."

Shadow gasped slightly...her ears went back in fear...

with a scream, ions body erupts in a very powerful aura of lightning and energy. his eyes completely over taken with power, making them appear solid glowing blue.

"don't you DARE try to do anything to her"

he says with murder in his tone.

Shadow is too afraid to do anything...

"Lighting, huh...? Clever, but futile really. You really don't want to destroy your own home with that kind of power, or more or less put the madam in danger of a spontaneous misfire, do you? After all, I rather see to have her alive than injured, even if it's just a scratch." said Vermillion confindently

~Shadow calm down! Think!~ She thinks to herself. She takes a deep breath and stands. Her eyes are now glowing gray. She lifts one of her hands and a gray light emits from the palm.

"SHUT UP!"

ion says as he punches him hard enough to send flying through the wall of the home, skips across the ground and slams into a rocky outcrop. ion walks out of the hole in the house.

"you will never get the chance to hurt shadow! she's been through ENOUGH!"

he yells as his power increases further

Shadow's eyes went back to normal and her hand stopped emitting the gray light. She ran over to Ion and turned him to her.
"Ion. Calm down. Please." She said desperately.

the blue in his eyes are slowly turning bloody crimson and his hair is turning black...

"AAAAGGHHHHH"

he's too angry to hear reason.

Shadow holds onto him...She begins to sing...

the creaming continues as his hair is now completly black and all the blue of his aura and powers had turned blood red.....he wasn't calming down....he was powering up...
