She follows him walking close behind.

"just some info too know. my house is a little ways off from the city, just far enough that no one really comes around, but close enough to go to town if you need to. it has two floor, spacious yards...and a creek. i hope that sounds good to you"

She nods and keeps following him.

it isn't too long before the pair arrive at the house. within minutes, the two are in the living room.

"Thank you for doing this..." She said to him.

"hey, it's no problem at all. now it wont feel so lonely around here"

he said as he plopped down on the couch.

"You wanna see something cool?" Shadow asked him.

he looked up

"sure, what's that?"

"......wha? did you just..."

Ion looks down at the cat that now sat beside him.

"..that's...actually really cool. you're adorable."

he leans back once again.

"no offence, but i like your normal form better"

Shadow gently nuzzles him and purrs.

he begins to gently pet her, resisting the urge to slowly drift off into sleep.

She purrs louder and keeps nuzzling him.

Ion picks her up and lays her across his chest, using both hands to pet her

She purrs happily and her eyes close.

Ion thinks to himself.

'at the very least, she SOUNDS happy'

Shadow lays her head down on him and starts to drift into a deep sleep.

Ion soon follows suit, and soon the night passes by into the morning sun.

Shadow is still sleeping peacefully...she hasn't had this good a sleep in years...

Ion decides to remain motionless and let her sleep. she clearly needs it. he had to be a little thankful though that she didn't turn back human during the night.
