"Because they're cowards. Afraid of the unknown..."
Shadow says as she keeps them still. Her eyes still glowing red...

"we should probably get out of here before we attract any more attention"

"You're right." She makes it to where they can move again. "But if you try to hurt anyone again, I will find you and make you pay. Is that clear?" She says as she looks each boy in the eye. She lets her gaze fall upon the boy with the knife last.

the boy tosses the knife down, but looks at her bitterly.

BOY:"this ain't over girl!"

"Oh it had better be."
Her eyes glow red again and she makes his right arm feel pain...it's a lot of pain...

he keeps screaming till ion puts a hand on her shoulder.

"we need to go...NOW"

She makes the pain stop and her eyes go back to normal as she looks at Ion...
"Alright." She says and turns her back on the boy.

the two quickly leave the scene and make a direct escape to Ions house. after walking in, ion goes and lays on his bed

~I'm sorry about that...~ She says to him in his mind.
She didn't know what she should do now.

he responds out loud

"what do you have to be sorry for? you didn't do anything wrong. but...do me a favor?"

~Sure. What is it?~
She asks him.

"when it's just you and me...be yourself. your neko form."

he says sincerely.

"please don't hide yourself around me"

"Alright. I won't hide myself."
She still hadn't disconnected herself from his mind. She had forgotten to do so as she thought, ~Will he mind if I went in there with him...?~

ion catches that, but manages to keep from thinking a response. instead, he speaks out loud.

"hey, are you tired after today?"

"Yeah." She says. She was also a little scared about what had happened.

"could you come here a second?"

"Sure." She says.
She comes into the room, but stays standing in the doorway.

he slides of the bed and walks over to her. when he reaches her, he opens his arms and wraps them around her, embracing her in a hug.

"i'm sorry about what happened today. if there was any way to stop it i would"

She hugs him back. "There will always be people in the world like them...there is nothing we can do about it..." She sighs. "Thank you for helping me..." She says happily.

"anytime, anything"

he says as he releases her and falls back onto the bed, creating a soft thud as he hit.
