This sounds absolutely brilliant. And definitely helps with a few of the concerns I had yesterday talking to Moki about this.

But, I wasn't thinking about the new fonts, I was hoping to get a list over current fonts there is The drop down is a bit difficult to navigate.

Oh mannn that sounds amazing!! It's been worth waiting so long not to use Google Fonts and anticipating this. SO EXCITED!

Hmmmm I'm quite interested in this selling the rights to use to different people. I had actually been thinking about doing something along those lines, but had no idea how to ensure it would stay with those who purchased it other than good faith. Having that option built in will be awesome!
The list of fonts is tremendously helpful too!

Side note question thing: Is there a list out there somewhere of what default fonts most systems should have? I thought I would have had all of them but turns out I was lacking Helvetica which surprised me!

There's a number of surveys out there that show the relative reliability of different fonts, per system, for example:

Mostly, in my mind, what these say are "use font families, not single fonts, BECAUSE OH GAWD WHO KNOWS."

But you can see there are some that are above 90% on most systems, that are reasonably safe bets.

Yay for the update!! Is the change to the embedded fonts in this update or in another?

This one was only for official templates. We're looking at late February/Early March for custom CSS changes.
